People are saying it's America's national anthem because it is the same TUNE as God Bless America. However, God Bless America is NOT the national anthem just some song about America.

@MissJNMelvin Actually, "God Save The King/Queen" is NOT the same tune as "God Bless America." Play them side by side and you'll see for yourself.

They are totally different songs. Thomas Augustine Arne composed "God Save The King/Queen" and it dates from approximately 1745. Irving Berlin composed "God Bless America" in 1918 and revised it in 1938, and though it is a patriotic song, it is not the national anthem, whereas "God Save The King/Queen" is the British National Anthem.

@ejp93 Didn't you see the way she claps? It's hillarious! First she claps normally, but when the old guy in front of her starts clapping, she claps very intensely (aw that's so adorable!!!) and when the guy stops, she claps normally again. SO funny
