  • Where's part 2 and 5?

  • Balthazar hahaha isn't he from charmed haha

  • Wow. I forgot about this movie. Thanks for posting!

  • Jim Hensons Toy Story

  • I love this one, but when I was a kid I kinda found it a bit creepy, Idk why?

  • @SHeSaDIFFerntCHIck I did find it creepy as well, but I loved it, lol. I guess it was all the dark hallway shots and the toys freezing and everything.

  • I don't know why they took the Kermit part out =/ I love this, it's classic! Thanks for uploading <3

  • @TrishTheNerd Because Disney owns Kermit now.

  • @FragglevisionReturns What? noooooooooo :( How could they.. PS I love Fraggle!

  • @TrishTheNerd It's okay. Disney released a new Muppet movie last November, written by Jason Segel of "How I Met Your Mother" and "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" fame. It's already the best reviewed movie of 2011, received a 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and opened at #2 at the box office, only behind "Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1". Jason is a huge Muppet fan, and has made the film as old-school as possible.

  • The version thats on Netflix is only like 20 minutes long and isnt worth watching

  • MERRY CHRISTMAS KERMIT!!!

  • is this the uncut version

  • I watched this when I was a little girl and I always waited for this story year after year on TV.but then they just stopped to play it. I always have this memories about this beautiful little tiger and today it has been a wonderful surprise to realize it was a Jim Henson's story, he was truly a special person. Thanks for sharing this maggic! :)

  • @JainaMac10 - I saw it was on Netflix as well, but it is the Lions Gate DVD print, and yes, it is edited. It is indeed very hard to find the uncut version. I copied it to DVD several years ago, as I was worried that the tape might not last. You are very welcome, and Merry Christmas to you!

  • THANK YOU for this! They have it on Netflix right now but they cut out the part with Kermit from the beginning and all the other Muppets at the end!! I was so disappointed bc I watched this on TV the night that it premiered and I *remembered* Kermit but then I thought I was imagining things when it wasn't on the Netflix version haha. This is what I remember from my many viewings of the VHS tape that we taped it on. :)

  • This stuff is better than Toy Story 1,2, and 3

  • I think this was supposed to scare kids into not leaving their toys out because they might die. It's kind of morbid.

  • So is anyone willing to bet that Pixar stole off of this to make Toy Story?

  • @creeps77 - I am so happy you enjoyed this, and I am so happy to share it with everyone. Merry Christmas to you as well. :-)

  • Those motorcycle riders (3:38) are just painted dozers! xD

  • this is the best, it brings me back to happier days. thank you sooo much for posting this. i can't express how awesome this is for me to watch this again. i haven't seen this for than 15 years. it was my favorite x-mas special that i loved watching. thank you soo much again for posting this. happy holidays to you and everyone. =]

  • 3:37 is that a piece of yarn moving?XD Sorry to ask I just got curious cause I something yellow at the end song of the movie.

  • 3:40 does that doll have a name? or is it just a verison of barbie?

  • The Hub is airing this--tomorrow, I believe. I swear, that channel...it's as though they're taking direction from me, although I'm fairly sure they aren't...

  • the mouse is flippin adorable!! My favorite character in this movie.

  • Thank you so much. I remember the tv show and still have a few episodes on VHS, like the mummy one, the one with the paper clown, the ond with the lost toy monkey sock and a few other , I still occasionally watch them now and I'm 19. I hope that it wount wear out because they don't air it any more.

  • Thanks for posting! I was 2 years old when this came out! But I remember it. I must have watched it when I got older as well. I was searching Netflix for Jim Henson shows/movies and "The Secret Life of Toys" came up and it sparked a memory that I haven't thought of in YEARS! I just HAD to find this movie! Thanks for posting!

  • I used to watch this all the time when I was a kid. Blast from the past!

  • Kermit the frog sure looks cute in that Santa Claus outfit.

  • Thank you very much, I never saw this. Actually I was searching for "The Muppet Christmas Carol Story Album" (the story of the MCCarol told by Gonzo and Rizzo) and I landed here ^^

(by the way, if anybody knows where I could download/buy it, I'd appreciate it ! I can't find it anywhere ! =/ )

  • lol, Rugby should've watched where he was going, omg, lamo. Oh Btw Kermit the Frog still looks so cute in that Santa Claus outfit.

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! Allison I don't know how to thank YOU... . I've never seen this movie, but >Secret life of Toys< is for me soooo MAGICAL .. Muppets.. Secret life of TOYS+KERMIT+Christmas atmosphere....= .. I even can't name it.. THANK YOOUUUUU !!! !! ! I can't wait for december..

  • Brings back great memories, thank you for posting!

  • @MrBubbaGump69 - You're welcome, glad you enjoyed it!!!

  • Please Subtitles in Spanish!

  • @Ninaparapluie - Lo siento. I don't speak much Spanish, at least, not enough to effectively subtitle this.

  • Kermit The Frog Sure Looks Cute In That Santa Claus Outfit.

  • Dave Goelz is Rugby Tiger. You can hear a bit of Gonzo.

  • Rugby Tiger sounds like Gonzo. Because They're both performed by Dave Goelz

  • OMG I can't believe I found this thank you SOOOOO much for putting it up! I adored this movie and it took me until this morning to remember what it was called. I an so happy!!!

  • @dianalighthope - You're welcome! It is very hard to find, but once you do find it...you never forget it. I've had this tape since 1986 and I transferred it to DVD in 2009 to keep it preserved. I've actually had to make copies for my friends. I'm popular among them because I have the full version with Kermit, something the DVD version of this special lacks due to copyrights. So I consider my print a rarity.

    Thanks for watching! :-)

  • @Winter10ful - I found a plush toy in Hallmark that I thought looked like Rugby!!

  • lol, I think that rugby should've watched where he's going, omg, lmao.

  • Rugby looks worn when he's supposed to be new in the box. I think her parents are regifters.

  • This Is Awesome, Oh Btw Kermit The Frog Is Still So Cute In That Santa Claus Outfit, Another Btw I Wouldn't Mind It If Kermit The Frog was the guest host of WWE RAW.

  • i still think that kermit the frog looks so cute in that santa claus outfit.

  • I hope this gets on dvd, oh btw i think that kermit the frog looks so cute in that santa claus outfit.

  • @StefanoFan27 It is on DVD, except it is edited so the Kermit intro is removed. If Disney is smart, they will put out the REAL version of this on DVD (it was released by a different company after Disney acquired the Muppets). And yes, Kermit is adorable in the Santa suit!

  • i remembered that this used to be on disney channel. i have it on tape and now i have it on my ipod, except kermit is not in it.

  • a little bit. Plus, This was made 2 years after The night they saved christmas and Marsha Moreau is 2 years younger than Laura Jacoby.

So Marsha was the same age in this as Laura was in The night the saved christmas. Which would only add to them looking more alike.

  • The little girl in this is Marsha Moreau.

The little girl in The night they save christmas is Laura Jacoby.

  • :-) Aww, I didn't know you posted a comment here! I know I made a DVD of this for you...I finally got around to transferring it to DVD for myself!

  • I have a DVD burner and a DVD recorder, No clue how to use either of them . LOL

  • I'm starting to become somewhat tech savvy - my DVD player records DVDs, and I've figured out how to copy DVDs on my computer. :-)

  • LOL - yeah. I only saw it once.

I even have He-Man and She-Ra's Christmas special!

  • I try and watch this every year. My Christmas collection is a bit eccentric to say the least - I even have Pee-Wee's Playhouse Christmas, lol!

  • I have never seen that but I will take your word for it!!!

  • the new dvd also edited out the song at the end because kermit joins them in singing.

  • One of my friends has the DVD and he didn't mention the ending being edited out. What a shame!!!

  • yea well i'm not sure if the whole song is edited out, i'm just assuming the kermit parts are since this movie is owned by muppet studios still and kermit is now owned by disney. i loved this when iw as akid!

  • Oh ok, but one could figure on the whole thing being edited out.

I loved this too - still do. It's a shame it never really aired much after this initial airing!
