yea that is me and my brothers in the ring with sting... I am ring next to him, the only one you can really make out!! Sting is the best wrestler ever to lace up boots!
what if he really NEVER let go of that deadlock, like not even to eat, shit, or move on?? 15 years later just chillin with ric flair in a scorpion deadlock!!
Two of the absolute best. I like the attention to extended detail in this storyline, the swerves and switching alliances, the acknowledgement fo long standing fueds. Nowadays we have Randy Orton and John Cena standing together even though they tried to LITERALLY kill each other a few months ago. Sigh... too bad that attention would not last in WCW...
I remember this I know I'm in the minority but I wasn't a fan of the NWO days. It's too bad Sting wasn't champ more often after Hogan came in and got the belt even though he only wrestled once a month.
see why WCW is no more?this promo package sucks ass,WWE did promos way fuckin better, all WCW did most of the time was rip off WWE,all the knockoffs had no fuckin Chance in the Attitude Era!!especially since it was The Rock and Stone Cold who did it,WCW had all the old wrestlers while WWE made new talent,WCW was lame and here one of the reasons why
I have shivers down my spine after watching that. I wish I could go back in time and watch this stuff week in week out again. What a great era of wrestling.
wcw in 95 the dod wanted to destroy hogan and the horsemen wanted to destroy sting but when hulk and sting formed an alliance the horesemen and the dod started to fued which led up to the nwo stroyline
@danteras23 yes, so true. Nitro had some very interesting story lines. I remember one of them being where The Dungeon of Doom just wanted to destroy Hulkamania which was so awesome to see week after week.
Then yes came nWo which just lifted WCW over the then WWF. But all these great memories are no thanks to Time Warner who sold WCW to Vince for just 4.5 Million
Gave it away and now for almost 9 years we have had to listen to Vince say he killed WCW when in fact he was sweating for a long time
@altohart That's the nature of the good guy vs the bad guy. The bad guy uses the good guy's rules against him. Flair is in trouble, so Sting has to help. When WWE created "attitude" and the good guys acted just like the bad guys, it went to hell.
Rick sold the DDT @ 0:20 so god damn good that, if the WWE was smart enough to make tapes to hand out to their guys it would be in the "sell the move" chapter. With the current state of WWE talent, it would be an instructional video a week long.
the only thing ultimate about the warrior was how lucky he was to get his push.better to be lucky than good.but he had less talent than uncle elmer after 2 kegs and it aint even close.guys like andre, rude, hulk, dibiase, slaughter, perfect, undertaker and savage made that chump everything he never was!kerry von erich was a hell of a lot better than warrior and should have got that push but his drug addictions prevented him from ever really seeing his true potential.ultimate asshole!warrior not quite!
Warrior had amazing charisma, intensity, a great body, and a small handful of highly athletic spectacle-type moves. He was entertaining and became a good worker later in his career. Unfortunately he was too neurotic to stick around for long.
Can you imagine if the WWE had some how gotten sting instead of Warrior? O and i personally like the old surfer sting, but none the less he is still the greatest nonWWE wrestler ever
Surfer Sting was great. But Crow Sting went to even higher levels. Lots of people change gimmicks throughout their careers without changing characters. HHH started as a spoiled rich kid when he made his WWF debut. HBK's gimmick evolved through the years. But Sting and Big Poppa Pump took opposite approaches. Sting dropped the bleach blond hair and Stiener picked it up.
I liked Sting's gimmick back in those days. He had great intensity. When he tells Flair "I'll leave you for dead! Dead, dead, dead!", his eyes are awesome. Sting is a legend and I love the fact that he was TRULY the franchise player for WCW.
Warrior was warrior, the way he treated the fans at wrestlemania 7 walking to the ring and yelling "get off" to the fans grabbing at him and him being so pissy about his lovley trench getting ripped was pathetic, The fact is warrior was awesome, but his selfishness killed that image, sting though, is a legend for his passion for the fans...True imortal
