Puffing out the cheeks doesn't just help with playing techniques, but interestingly enough gives you a much bigger and warmer tone (less nasal i guess).
My Main advice would be to work on vibrato (nothing wrong with your vibrato, its good), in that Duduk uses allot of vibrato on the notes and phrases.. from slower even vibrato, to quivering eastern vocal styles.. Which involve using the bottom lip along with the cheeks and diaphragm.
