Guitar Joe would play and play outside all day in front of that church off of Sunset Blvd. He wouldn't be allowed inside the Silverlake Lounge yet he was more talented in a raw untrained way then alot of the "indie" music that dulled the vibe from the weekend Mexican tranny nights. Guitar Joe would not shout down the Centimeters but took pleasure and delight in being rambunctious to every Tampon commercial sounding band.

I was actually focusing on the sunset junction area, not so much silver lake as a whole. For the project, I had to focus on a small area, not a neighborhood. I should have been clear on that with the title and description. I should have taken more into account though. Thanks for the feedback.

It's so obvious to me that people like the lady in the video come from a background of wealth and the "uniqueness" they think they're "preserving", they're actually "depleting". Just look at the lofts that are being built on Myra. It looks to me like another case of the rich people pushing out the poor indigenous people out of the neighborhood to me.

None of my 'white' friends wanted to come visit me here....EVER...they were scared....I never understood why. My 'barrio' was effin' amazin' back then...
