  • The Silkie did a great,although obscure version back in 1966.

  • As good now as when I first heard it. The gentler versions, by others, are fine - we all have our favourites - but this good on so many levels.

  • I remember when this song first came out. It was one of those that sent a shiver down my spine. The combination of this number and Dave Edmunds voice gave this an ethereal quality. Absolutely fantastic! This will, I'm sure, live on as a classic for many years to come.

  • When I was in college in 1965 I was a Hank Marvin fan and another student told me about this guy Dave Edmunds saying Hank was S--t 40 years on I realise how brilliant this gut was !

    Jon Thorne from Cardiff was the Bass player with Dave Edmunds - man you are right !
