I bought both series on DVD blind and I loved them both. Truly a gem of a show, and nothing beats that theme song. Did the writers do any other shows because this and Whoops Apocalypse are awesome.
If you're taking requests on bits, nothing is more hilarious than the Spitting Image bit where Palmer chainsaws his own head off.
This and Whoops Apocalypse were ahead of their time. Delighted to see it here - hopefully it will revive interest in a largely forgotten and superb comedy.
I'm watching this whilst drooling over Geoffrey Palmer. Thank you so much for posting. Am I the only one who thinks he's one of the sexiest men alive??
Oh Yes, taliebev! I too think as you do where Mr. Palmer is concerned...always totally attractive! Lucky to've been watchin' his many years' acting, he's like pure vintage wine~~doesn't 'get older,' just gets better with age! Yay! lol /^_\\
The quality of this copy is better than my tatty computer converted version.
Viewers missed out on a gem here - along with 'Whoops Apocalypse', the Renwick/Marshall writing partnership was very unique and in ways...risque. It's such a shame that Marshall barely gets any work now, and Renwick's writing skills are turning into a joke...huh huh 'Love Soup'.
Always wanted to see this, thanks! There doesn't seem to be any comedy around these days that can be edgy and very silly at the same time like this. A DVD can't be far away surely...
Network DVD have been planning a release for some time, but because they plan to release Renwick/Marshall's earlier works ('Whoops Apocalypse') first - and owning to copyright - this may take some time.
I always remembered this and it's great to see it on here - it never seems to be repeated on television. Hard to believe that with hundreds of channels none of them show this superb comedy.
Great to see it here, hope there are more to come.
Anywhere where I can find the episode with the Wobblevision? I think it's the episode entitled "Beyond the Infinite".
