Many Pitbulls have a brain disorder. Their brain gets to big for there skull as they age and no amount of training will help you once it reaches that stage. Knowing if your pitbull is one who will get this disorder in impossible. If you want a a smart sweet and tough dog that will keep those pesky neighbors off your lawn I would turn to the Airedale breed. Airedales were used in the old days to hunt lions. It only takes two to take one down.

Having owned 3 pits for the past 6years I can confirm that they are the most loyal and caring dogs I know of. I have raised my 2 kids with these dogs and trained my daughter in the art of hand commands and proper voice control over the pack.. And by the way I am black as well, so let's stop with all the NIG crap cause we all know you wouldn't say it 2 the brothers if they were there.. Sadly the person jumped my fence and and got near my dog and He bit him..... @ericcholico123 nose colours are not a breed or sub breed of pitbulls, pitbulls are alowed have any colour nose as the standard states, if some one says i have a red nose pit or blue nose they don't know much about the pitbull breed, it started with one of the first lines of pitbulls the old family reds and since then most refer to the nose colour as a breed but its not its no different then the colour of their coat... hope this helps

I had a Boston Terrier that killed any other animal she was with, and was aggressive to children. I now own a red nose pitbull that would rather love on you and lick you to death then bite. But no one can make u pay more just for it being a "rare" color because there is no such thing.

Many Pitbulls have a brain disorder. Their brain gets to big for there skull as they age and no amount of training will help you once it reaches that stage. Knowing if your pitbull is one who will get this disorder in impossible. If you want a a smart sweet and tough dog that will keep those pesky neighbors off your lawn I would turn to the Airedale breed. Airedales were used in the old days to hunt lions. It only takes two to take one down.

People need to understand that a Pitbull is a dog like any other, they do not have locking jaws, they do feel pain and they respond to love and positive reinforcement.

The pit bulls that have so called "agression problems" are the ones who are bred by ownwer who either don't know what the are doing or breeding such dogs on purpose. Pit bulls are excellent dogs. I get bitten more by my Pomeranian, small dogs tend to be more snappy than larger breeds. Remember: It's not the dogs it's the OWNERS!!! That goes for all breeds of dogs.

Having owned 3 pits for the past 6years I can confirm that they are the most loyal and caring dogs I know of. I have raised my 2 kids with these dogs and trained my daughter in the art of hand commands and proper voice control over the pack.. And by the way I am black as well, so let's stop with all the NIG crap cause we all know you wouldn't say it 2 the brothers if they were there.. BEAUTIFUL Dogs! I Had 2 But they were both taken frm me cuz 1 of them bit someone =(..... The person had been taunting him everyday and trying to make him fight with another dog they would take. Sadly the person jumped my fence and and got near my dog and He bit him..... I Lost Both of my Babies Because of the stupididty of someone else and cuz of the parents of that kid that i told that he was taunting my dog. My Pitts were not aggresive at all!!! My kids and us played with them everyday.

@ericcholico123 nose colours are not a breed or sub breed of pitbulls, pitbulls are alowed have any colour nose as the standard states, if some one says i have a red nose pit or blue nose they don't know much about the pitbull breed, it started with one of the first lines of pitbulls the old family reds and since then most refer to the nose colour as a breed but its not its no different then the colour of their coat... hope this helps

I had a Boston Terrier that killed any other animal she was with, and was aggressive to children. I now own a red nose pitbull that would rather love on you and lick you to death then bite. She loves to play and will protect my kids, that's why we got her. She is a member of our family not just a dog. Sebylon, I have to agree with you. These dogs are mostly bullys or Am.Staffs. American Pit Bull Terriers have much more athlecity and working muscle. However the title is 'Pit Bulls' (Which covers all of those breeds).

to the person who said they are worth more if they are blue nose... your wrong. its not the color. if u believe that than you've been going to backyard breeders. the dog is worth more by having papers on it. THATS ALL. I have a chocolate apbt. if u say a blue or red nose is worth more your wrong. they are all worth equal. also if you breed the dog and keep the bloodline pure than yes it can cost more. But no one can make u pay more just for it being a "rare" color because there is no such thing.

the only difference is there blood lines. If you want a blue nose then u want the more expensive dog if u want a red nose those one are less expensive (not all of them are less expensive). and it depends on if they got papers or not.

sort of... in my opinion a pit bull is a pit bull and deservers a loving family... but yes there is... british bull dogs and terriors both have red noses as a recessive trait... a black nose is a dominate trait carried by most dogs... if your apbt has a black nose... it is most likely cross bred... but hear me out... all dogs need to be loved... and i would very easily call myself a proud apbt owner, even if my pit was a mix......... proud apbt owner

yea i got a tip ummm when the dog gets bout six weeks u wanna feed it blue buffalo it has the most protene in it it will make ur dog strong and healthy its blue buffalo wilderness they sell it at ne petsmart. treat traning is the best but if the pit part of it comes out its gonna be a bit difficult to train its like they have ADD lol but once u get that down there going to be great dogs n i bet ur dog is beyond gorgeous
