  • kofi annan needs a good fucking kick in the teeth

  • Comment removed

  • This is exactly why we the U.S. need to get out of the UN. It is a socialists/Dictators/Muslim Extremists despot organization.....oh yeah and the worthless French.....

We would have gone in and killed the extremists within a month.

  • @mmacburt Agreed. And shame on that UN general for not even attempting to rescue his men from those thugs.

  • Kofi Annan and the worthless UN were too busy trying to milk money out of the Iraq Sanctions....Kofi Annan was a worthless douche...F' the UN!

  • puting the american people there first, instead of helping the Tutsis, was one of the biggest mistakes the UN made. the UN is a fucking joke. UN= usless nods

  • @MrTristen420 Well, you have to protect your own people first. It makes sense that protecting your own citizens is the first priority. Its not always the right thing to do, but if they are your people, you have to help them first right?

  • The UN is such a joke, if they weren't so scared of casualties, they would actually do their job and governments would think twice before messing with them. I understand they operate under strict guidelines, but jesus, if an order is issued to protect an individual or the peace and stability of a country, then the peacekeepers should have the right to defend themselves and their mission. God, I would hate to be a UN peacekeeper, get killed because of some bureaucrat in a chair like Kofi Annan.

  • Wow,..don't think I don't what you doin,..confusing with them college cooz..and stuff, a nigger was from in Africa,.. a white man, came from Nebraska, New Jersey.. and others,..them niggers came here a long time ago, cause they like it here, cause its cold. Don't confuse me I know the truth.

  • @ian2008931 please tell me you don't seriously talk how you type and actually believe what you said...it's almost surreal...like...white trash to the max... i had no idea you people really existed:O

  • When Iraq was violating a ceasefire from 1990-2003 by throwing UN inspectors, shooting coalition planes in the no-fly zones, etc, what did the UN do? Nothing.

When Serbian troops massacred Bosniak and Croat civilians in Bosnia such as Sarajevo, Srebrenica, Tulza etc, what did the UN do? Nothing.

When the Pol Pot genocide occurred, when did the UN do? Nothing.

When Hutis was massacring Tutsis in the streets of Rwanda in 1994, what did the UN do? Nothing.

It shows how "great" the UN is.

  • I love how everybody says it's someone else's fault. The guys holding the machetes think that as well.

  • No disrespect to general of UN, but he is weak. If he had better decision making perhaps combat experience then maybe he could have saved his men.

My god what kind of general has no combat experience.

  • Them niggers are less evolved anyway, ita alright if they die, they look like monkeys....we have more in the slums here in Jersey

  • @ian2008931 you do realize that all mankind came from africa and that no one is 'pure blood.' the way we look is just a result of our phenotypes. if you were to check your dna you would find that you arent white. your ancestor 10,000 years ago may have been a so called black man. the fact that you think they are less evolved means you have no knowledge of evolution or science.

  • @hgkizthebest If that's so,... then why are there niggers???? I have white skin,.. cause I came from snow. Them niggers are black as shit, how can I come from Africa. If I have white skin. My grandpa was from Nebraska!!! so that makes him and me white. Tssk... your argument are stupid. Niggers came there not me or any white man on the planet.

  • @ian2008931 The cradle of life is in Africa. "Europeans", "Asians", "North Americans", "South Americans", "Africans" and every other group of people in the world come from a common point, which is believed to be in Eastern Africa. The reason we look different is due to the fact we live in different environments. Skin colour is due to the absorption of UV by melanin.

  • @racewalker9999 Don't think your some college cooz who can outsmart people now,.. them niggers are from Africa and came here to US cause its cold, and they became our servants, because they are a lower class of beings, I know this,.. this is the teaching of the lord Jesus Christ.

  • @ian2008931 TROLOLOLOLL.

  • These living fossils aren't worth the death of one civilized Belgian soldier. Leave the pre Stone age bastards to nature.

  • Has anyone bothered watching All Watched Over By Machines of Loving Grace.

  • r.i.p

  • This has got to be part of why Megadeth made United Abominations

  • wow.. if it werent for the un than africa might just... be fucked. just another un achievement. congrats

  • The German and later Belgian colonial policies of favoring the Tutsi minority over the Hutu majority is likewise a significant factor which cemented the mutual distrust and hatred these two ethnic groups had for each other. It is the typical colonial policy of divide and conquer.

  • trust me if the U.S stayed then this would stop much more fast because it would force bill to send support

  • What the hell what is wrong with this Hutu people?!!!

  • I wish there were more people out there like that American woman. Her convictions are strong and she stands by them in the face of danger.

  • 6:50 The murder of UN soldiers DID have an immediate response! There was a press conference........ :P

  • how in the hell you're gonna let some thugs get your men and kill them and you're not gonna do a damn thing about it!!! You can't send canadians to do a man's job, you got to send americans to deal with bastards around the world!!!

  • @cuzcatlan36 Lol? Cuz Americans did a great job there too right? Save me your "Americans are the best" bullcrap attitude....bunch of ignorant idiots.

  • @cuzcatlan36 Oh no, we sucked this time( and many other times) we failed as people and as a nation big time, shame on us. all I was saying is that I can't imagine a US commander passing by his own soldiers, knowing they were gonna be executed and not turning around that jeep and start blasting away at those murdering monkeys! But then again, maybe he would!!

  • This go for all yall stupid ass ppl keep on fussing about something that none of yall had to deal with so all off yall plz shut the fuck up its all over what happend.. Happend its no reason to wake it back up

  • @ArcadeNerrdd22 You dumb fuck people bring this up so that it will not happen again and that the lives slaughter didnt die in vain.

  • @ArcadeNerrdd22 I think you have to be one of the dumbest people on the earth, and I am not saying that because of the ignorant way you type, I am saying that because of that RIDICULOUS comment you posted. Please...never vote and NEVER have kids. We have enough idiots to go around.

  • In american lady is very brave in what she says about staying to atleast save 1 life.

  • quite happy to start bombing innocent men women and children in afghanistan, not interested in the men women and children of rwanda

  • the UN is truly stupid how you protect someone without using force when the situation calls for it so if someone had her at gun point they should let her get killed

stupid this why i hate the UN( im canadian)

  • Tired of hearing that its the "evil white man" who is t blame for all Africas problems. Bull shit. The no1 problem is greedy curupt aids infested sub humans. I dnt hear about this shit in Canada or Austalia or America. The british Empire tried to civilise the barbaric dark continent.

  • @patsyd80 civilise?? I think you should get yourself a dictionary 'cause you obviously mistaken as to the meaning of that word. Civilise my ass!!!! They (leadership-wise) went in to conquer and divide, and to plunder of course. If you 'didn't hear it about 'America'' you obviously 'forgot' about the tragic befallings of Native Americans.

  • Gen Dallaire is a an example for us to follow. He had a heart and cared deeply about Rwanda, his mission and his soldiers. The security council within the UN were the ones to do nothing and particularly france and belgium, whom should hang their heads in shame.

My Gen Dallaire find peace and may Rwanda find peace.

  • @king42089 have you ever had to turn up to a meeting with ruthless killers, walk past your men being murdered in the yard and then stand in the face of these people (who had just murdered their president in cold blood) and tell them that everyone else may run but you wont?

Dallaire may have been many things but he was not a coward. Its very easy to be judgemental when you sit in your safe little havan and don't know what its like to wake up in the morning to more bodies.

  • If that GENERAL was half of a man, he could not have driven by two of his soldiers lying on the ground with their ankle tendons cut, their companions already dead or being mutilated, and done NOTHING. He should have stopped his car, drawn his pistol, demanded their release, and died on the ground next to them.

  • @King42089 He had thousands of people to think about, including all the Tutsis. I doubt that you would even be able to stand in his shoes for a minute in that situation. Gen. Dallaire did the most he could to try and protect the most amount of people given his resources and under the ROEs imposed by fucking UN bureaucrats. You should strive in life to have even a fraction of the amount of courage of General Dallaire has.

  • @TheAllisonTF Hah what a joke, the man was a coward with no courage. Blaming others for his ineffectiveness. I suppose he wanted fighter bombers on call with main battle tanks and contingents of mobile infantry as well?

  • @King42089 If you actually took the time to look at some interviews and panels with Gen. Dallaire, you would know that he DID in fact take responsibility for his actions, and didn't try pulling a scapegoat like all the other pansy ass politicians. And ya, I DO think that he wanted a much stronger military response, which he asked for repeatedly in the duration of the genocide. How about you do a little bit of research before you try tearing down a Canadian hero?

  • @TheAllisonTF I'm sure he did the best he could under the circumstances and resources he was given. I dont mean to slag off a national hero. I just felt strongly that he should have helped those seven Belgian peacekeepers who were massacred.

  • Dont Tell Me That The U.N. Just Sent Men Like Retards Just To Get Themselves Killed. Commen Sense. Fight For Your Life Not Just Stand There And Watch Put A Bullet In Your Ass!!!!

  • i made my last comment on this video like a year ago...i dont really think this is important to me anymore. i just made that comment because i got pretty pissed off after watching this video. I dont really think if one were to put themselves in the shoes of a rwandan they would be too happy; to get screwed over by others and abandoned by them at their time of need. (caused by the belgians mostly).

  • @IcyFingerZ

well next time please do some more research instead of accusing others based on bullshit facts and statements. fucking idiot

  • the general is a good man... but i doubt if hes a good general.... just opinion...

  • WEED = world peacee LOL

  • LOL... America doesnt care about africa, Britain doesnt care about Africa.. To the west Africans are even less important than muslims. Look at this or darfur and compare it to Iraq or Afghanistan. no drugs or oil= not important.... and we said never again! We LIED! makes me feel sick to live in the west.

  • @corneliuscuatro

do you know that most foreign aid comes from the Uk and the US, Not only that when African countries were under british colony, when they were made independant states, the Uk didnt just pack up and leave, they actually taught the people how to make use of natural resources and farm so that they could benefit from what they have. You know who the biggest culprits are in Africa, the massive corporate companies who fuel war and corrupt african politicians!

  • When America helps it get bitched at. People say "stop being tyrants" when America does not help people say "they don't care" fuck you. America pays for over 70% of UN cost. No other country comes close to that. WTF has any other nation donevin Rawanda? Nothing. Quit pointing fingers. Does not help anything

  • I agree with Gen. Henry Anyidoho.... the best way was to tell them "Look...hacking someone with a machete is BAD!"....fukcing Ahole!

  • Why is anyone even bothering to reply to someone named "IceyFingerZ"? He's obviously a 16 year old nieve little spoiled brat.

  • Why is the commentator calling Agathe Uwilingiyimana "Madame Agathe" ? Agathe was her first name, she should be called "Madame Uwilingiyimana"...

  • LIAR whore

  • Good job Kofi Annan you callous inhumane bastard. I bet Clinton gave you a congradulatory head-job for your deliberate negligence.

  • If this had happend to american people the president would have sent a nuke and daisy cutters but since it happend to africans iwth no oil then he didnt do jack shit

  • @griffo1968 ,wow you ve seen the movie hotel rwanda, but if you had read any books you would find divisions prior to the belgians, human nature has a very dark side and there is one human nature not 2,we are all human and as such we have a beast within us

  • I hope the UN never protects me. They are fucking useless. Not the ground troops but the leaders.

  • @aqinthe

So true. Everything they have ever done has resulted in fuck up and genocide.

  • @IcyFingerZ No my friend, you are an idiot and clearly brainwashed. Watch "Wake up call - new world order - remastered" before you go shouting your mouth off, YOUR government are the most corrupt in the entire world, they keep you all braindead, it's time to wake up and understand what is really going on, you racist pig!

  • "...the U.S. did sign the Genocide Convention (after forty years), it ratified it, but it ratified it with reservation, saying "inapplicable to the United States". in other words, the United States is entitled to commit genocide, ---Noam Chomsky On the NATO Bombing of Yugoslavia

  • Stephen Lewis, UN special envoy for HIV/AIDS in Africa, put the lie to all the excuse and passing the buck when he said starkly that for the international community

"Africa didn't count anymore...it was black...all the racist impulses came into play. Africa had nothing to sell, nothing to buy..."

Those who had the armies and air power in the West did nothing. Malthus' population control...

  • Lord why do the powers that be keep on letting things like this happen? The Congo, Dafar, Rwanda etc? Has history taught us nothing? I am willing to bet that if any of these countries had anything of value (oil etc) to offer the powers that be would be there in a heartbeat!!!

  • selfish white people.the white government will save 270 white rather than 800,000 blacks.thats aweful

  • Dallaire should have at least talked about the captured belgian solders when he met the hutu extremist leadership, he just left them to die. Very Sad

  • This is why the people living in a society should have the right to keep and bear arms. Never believe someone else is going to protect you. That is a recipe for being a victim.

  • its not the un's responsibility to save Africans. Africans must do it themselves. the un is a european institution

  • My friend, you are an idiot. If you payed attention in your social studies classes, you would know that Africans used to live in peaceful clans with their own boundaries. Then the selfish money-thirsty whites came and put up borders that would result in clan wars, so skip ahead 200 years and you'll notice that the Belgians leave and that results in repression and war leading to genocide. So if the retarded white people did this, it is their responsibility to fix what they have done. moron

  • it was no white man in rwanda hacking to other rwandans to death it was African against African. Where does blame stop and self responsibilty start. Blacks hacked their brothers to death , and even though there may have been the seeds of some intervening force ie white colonisation . at the end of the day the machetes and guns were in the hands of Africans . they should have known better than to hack up there neighbours whom they lived along side long before whites came into their society.

  • @wenithboy, true lol

  • wut the fuck r u laughin at u worthless piece of shit?

  • @wenithboy

most probably the blacks would be living under stones and dancing around fires if it weren't for the europeans.

  • bullshit u dickweed. u think ur so special, civilisations rise and fall u arrogant dickhead, am as certain of the fact that am black and smarter than you as much as am certain of the fact that your an ingorant fuck. so shut the fuck up, if you dont know wut the fuck ur talkin about then dont talk at all u uneducated asshole

  • Typical black guy, you have just proved my point.

  • and what point is that u ignorant fuck?

  • nobody rejects that, but ur so stupid to make a point where it doesnt fuckin apply. we already took responsibility in rwanda dickweed, but this is a testimony to the responsibility under moral grounds that should have been taken worldwide, so great point but it does not apply here, this is about foreign intervention genius

  • @IcyFingerZ

"If you payed attention in your social studies classes, you would know that Africans used to live in peaceful clans with their own boundaries."

LOL. Who the hell teaches social studies at your school?!

Africans were all at peace until the white men appeared and f* up their world. Granted the second part is true but come on, don't blame the whites for everything.

  • @IcyFingerZ yes, colonisation has caused many of africas problems, how would africa been otherwise we dont know, but your hatefull racist way of puting it shows your lack of understanding,it is racist views that fill people with hatred and here you are spreading the same poison,

  • @IcyFingerZ Uh, not entirely correct friend. Look at the tribal structures in Sudan, and tell me what's going on there is the fault of the whites. And you'd be laughed out of Tanzania if you tried to tell people the Masaai were peaceful, and the same in South Africa if you tried saying that of the Zulu. What you've said is true of Rwanda, but don't apply it to all of Africa.

  • @IcyFingerZ please dont tell me you are this nieve; tribes used to raid each other to fuel the arab slave trade. read how many tribes were massacred by Shaka when creating the Zulu empire; all humans have the same instincts to dominate others.

  • @IcyFingerZ

if you paid attention to history you would know that Africa was far from peaceful before the introduction of Whites. Clans had war, and *gasp* had their own slave trade

  • @SWKentertainment Which history??? Pseudo honkey history...nonsense. If you even know how to read PERIOD then read Ibn Battuta's account of the Mali Empire and then try and come back here to make such a worthless comment. Brain-dead white people always try and associate one thing with another only to assuage their own seared and twisted consciences. God will repay.

  • @agbadu I hate to break it to you, but Leftist Afrocentrist psuedo historical nonsense has already been debunked by actually REAL and unbiased anthroplogists, egyptologists and historians.

For anyone to deny that there was NOT inner Tribal warfare and slavery between the various African kingdoms is the epitome of stupidity and willful ignorance.

Only the Cultural Marxist education of many Universities could teach people such nonsense.

  • @SWKentertainment yes exactly this shit ben going on for centuries even before the whites and such, glad someone else out there knows BOTH sides ;-)

    respect to you

  • @IcyFingerZ Actually dip shit if you knew anything you would know before European colonization there was inter tribal warfare. Where cannibal tribes were preying on peaceful tribes, that was why they accepted them. It was the Dutch that had a slave trade still going because in UK and France and most European countries had outlawed slavery. The US is also guilty of this.

  • Comment removed

  • @IcyFingerZ yes because white people invented violence. racist.

  • @IcyFingerZ who's the idiot? all of us?

  • @IcyFingerZ

and you know now the USA is supporting the divison of Sudan because they want the oil in suoth sudan. all the imprialist think about is Oil diamond and natural resurces. and they wounder why people hate them. they always gets in the internal affairs of other. they were the cause of korea divison and now the cause of our country divison. ameriKKKa is all about interst

    diable AmeriKKKa

viva la revelocion de al mundo

    ameriKKKa racista

  • @IcyFingerZ

A lot of social studies classes won't teach you that Africans used to be in peaceful tribes. If he's getting an American education, he's likely getting a very white-centric, Euro-American revisionist education. I know that I didn't learn much about the success Africa USED to have until I got to college, and even then I learned it independently of schooling.

  • @sanguinedivine "A lot of social studies classes won't teach you that Africans used to be in peaceful tribes."

Yeah right, I completely forgot that the Niam Niam and the Zulu tribes of centrl Africa were all peacefully living along side one another and certainly were not cannibalizing each other. Oh yeah, and I completely forgot that the Pygmies and the Nubians of Northern Africa weren't engaged in tribal warfare thousands of years before europeans even set foot in Africa, I forgot about that.

  • @LordMalice6d9 I was originally going to respond in a serious way, but then I checked out your channel and realized you're a neonazi.

  • Comment removed

  • @sanguinedivine You must be a censor happy little leftist bigot like most Liberals are. Your the bigot for accusing people of being "Neo-Nazis" whatever that is.

  • @IcyFingerZ What a load of pure propagandist bullshit!!

Black Africans for thousands of years have always been murdering and enslaving each other. Get your head outta your ass!

  • @IcyFingerZ

Africans used to live in peaceful clans with their own boundaries? My friend, I think it's time you went back to social studies class. Ever heard of Shaka Zulu? The guy murdered thousands long before the Europeans took power. I'm not excusing what white people have done in Africa, but the murder of 800,000 Tutsis by the Hutus was not the fault of Europeans, but an ethnic 'cleansing' brought about by centuries old hatred.

  • @OpposeMediocrity i agree with you.

  • @OpposeMediocrity @IcyFingerZ genocide doesn't happen because of the fault of one person, when it comes to whose at fault it's not a case of either/or. both the unfair division of africa into arbitrary nations and the centuries old hatred between the hutus and the tutsis played a part.

  • @OpposeMediocrity

you don't know what you are talking about. Before the Belgians came, the hutu and tsuti's were brothers. there were no divisions. no animosity. nothing. The belgians came, and imposed social stratification based upon 'ethnicities'. the tsutsi's being seen as tall and noble, were given elite status and told to govern. the hutu's were told they were lesser beings, and subjugated. The indoctrination went on for generations, so it was thorough.

  • @OpposeMediocrity

after the belgians left in the 1960s, the repentant white men encouraged the hutu's to rebel and take control, them being the majority of the population. they took it further. hutu's started taking control, and in the process, exacting revenge by killing and persecuting tutsti's left right and centre. that was the start of the genocide. Colonialism. The imperialist Belgians deliberately inflamed and polarized by imposing the stratification based on ethnicities.

  • @OpposeMediocrity

'centuries old hatred' is a damn lie. Rwanda had a system similar to that of South Africa, where the darker, more ugly Africans were shitted upon during the colonial era. They had id cards signifying their inferiority and tutsi superiority. That is why the genocides happened. If it wasn't for colonialism, the genocides would never have happened. The white European bears a heavy heavy responsibility for what happened in Rwanda. whether you choose to admit it or not.

  • @OpposeMediocrity

Why was it that the Belgians indoctrinated the peoples of Rwanda to believe that the Tutsi had enslaved the Hutu's for hundreds of years? That was a lie and a myth. The lie that led to the revenge killings after the Belgians left. The lie that led to the genocides. A lie told by a white man. The evil nature of that lie is mind boggling to me.

  • @OpposeMediocrity you have some good points, except...they are not valid. I think you are failing to understand that one side was HEAVILY armed with NON TRADITIONAL weaponry...and the other side...well...the end result can tell you the answer to that question.

This wasn't a question of 'inter-tribal' conflicts..this was genocide; state sponsored terrorism. The prejudices were already there and that was a part of the plan. The same way the prejudices were there in Germany and now Darfur.

  • @OpposeMediocrity this is how racism starts

  • @OpposeMediocrity -you are wrong..the Belgians colonized this area and they choose to favor the Tutsi's because they felt "they were more refined and attractive" and they choose to treat Hutu's like dogs...They incited the hatred amongst these two tribes, which before colonization lived in peace and even married each other. When the Belgians left they awarded power to the Hutu's who decided it was time for pay back.

  • @OpposeMediocrity Your statement is so wrong. "Ethnic 'cleansing' brought about by centuries old hatred" wasn't centuries old, it was only about 120 years old since because it was Europeans (specifically the Germans, then after them the Belgians) who established colonial rule over Rwanda through the Tutsis, making them on top, and Hutu the lower class. Oh not to mention Belgians introduced "ethnic-based identity cards" used later by HutuExtremists identify Tutsis to kill them.

  • @OpposeMediocrity yeah your wrong about the centuries old hating. that was the fault by the belgians who set up the system of tutsis on top and hutus on the bottom.

  • @IcyFingerZ I am white and I am not responsible for what other whites did hundreds of years ago.

By your logic, you are responsible for all horrible things done by anyone of your race for hundreds of years- how does that make any sense? It doesn't.

You are the idiot. A racist idiot.

  • @IcyFingerZ

There was conflict before the, as you put it, "selfish money-thirsty whites" came along too. History is riddled with war. You should have payed close attention in YOUR social studies classes and understand that conflict is more complicated than the simple drawing of lines on a map.

  • the un could have prevented the slaughtering of upwards to one million innocents tutsis.

  • fuck you man you dont know shit..

  • wow, are u fucking retarded? the un is european? get a fucking education then come back to comment idiot. if the UN is european then why is it constituted of all nations? dumbass, accept the UN fucked up dont try bullshit

  • Let me learn u, the majority of the permanent members of security council in the un are european powers.France,United States and United Kingdom. Some these contries were former colonial powers. The irony is there responsibiltiy is to ensure international peace and security, imagine that. These countries are the only ones to have veto power on substiantial global matters. if the majority of the world does not look like the legal body regulating it what kinda of institution would u call it.

  • laura lane had good intentions, in her interview but not in reality. save 1 life? 800 000 people died you stupid person.

  • she was obviously a coward, its not about if she had the abiility to do stuff, she did, she was just scared

  • i was there delare, you could have saved those belgian soilders. you like so many became afraid and forgot that you had a gun two.

  • You talk strong, alpha - if you were there, what did YOU do ?? It's so easy to judge and condemn...

  • yes

  • @salamirterra

how about every other country of the world? They are all members of the UN yet none of them have as much influence as America.

  • yes - it's like the UN put the candian commander who had absolutely no field action experience in the commanding role for a reason - was he not anything less than a pawn or a straw man for a UN presence

  • @littlenickyn

If it's not America's business America shouldn't be a member of the United Nations, which agrees to protect the interests of humans around the world.

However America is a member of the United Nations. So it is America's business.

  • Comment removed

  • @salamirterra

We have to be strategic, otherwise it'll cause an even larger shit storm. If we sent the ARMY to Rwanda during the peak of all this, it could have caused a bigger mess even.

Look at Iraq for example. Sadam was responsible for genocide amongst many other wrong doings, but W Bush sending troops there was a bad decision obviously. So many soldiers didn't need to die and so many innocent Iraqis that got caught in crossfire didn't need to die.

  • bro thats bullshit. first and foremost, bush didnt send american soldiers there to save lives, if you buy that shit then lets just end this conversation because your then a sad victim of propaganda, second of all Rwanda is different in that strategically the Hutu extremists would not stand a chance against foreign troops yet alone American troops who were already stationed in Burundi, plus Hussein was never genocidal, just persecutive, big difference lies there

  • @LUVFAMILIA

You're wrong. Saddam was guilty of genocide.

    - 1988 massacre of Kurds in Halabja. This is one example. Do research for trying act like you have a clue.

    OWNED

  • haha really? u think i didnt know about that? gud reference though, too bad i saw it coming, it was not genocide, saddam was testing weapons in the north, the campaign was similar to the germans bombing in the spanish civil war, was it genocide against the spaniards? no it was not, hitler was testing arms. furthermore, even if it went beyond testing, saddam was crushing the spirit of nationalism, the promise of Kurdistan. nice try but am no fool my friend.

  • you have to distinguish between genocide and regular persecution. in genocide the aim is the elimination of a race/ethnicity. saddam did carry out specifically targeted killings of the Kurds but he did not seek to eliminate all Kurds, he did not send his forces in to kill every last one of them, theres a stark difference, thats why people are hesitant to call anything a genocide, it is the extreme of extremes hence the controversy of terminology in rwanda, look at darfur now

  • @LUVFAMILIA

He found guilty of many things, including genocide. Enough said.

  • Then why did usa wait until 2003? Afterall America were still supporting him at the time. Remember chemical weapons were used against iran also and when iranian brought to the UN their complaint what did Reggan government do..... threaten to veto any complained about Irad by the Iranian....

  • Why are you talking about "they"? When you speak about WWII you speak about the Allies and the Axis or about whites?

  • Yes it was wrong if the UN to do nothing. but the Africans kicked the whites out. now that shit is bad they want the whites back for protection.....it doesn't work like that, they made thier beds, they must sleep in it. call it mean, but dont call it a lie

  • That's true.

  • what can you do if you stay? Um....send troops with real weapons and it wouldve stopped a bunch of shotguns and machettes. that wouldve been a filed day, they had to have realized 12 belgians was not an army! wtf

  • the movie "the godfather" said it best: "theyre animals anyway, so let them lose their souls."

  • Awesome General right there, doesn't even attempt to get his own men back, what a piece of shit.

  • Yes, I'm sure you would be brave enough to do half the things he did in Rwanda.

  • its all good but what is all bull shit is this self riches american talk about what they wanted to do and why they didint do it, just cut the crap, vietnam was genocide and it was committed by USA. 800000 thousand were killed in Ranada and the world stud still. im not saying that it was wrong or right, countries commit crimes the world commits crimes thats how it is, but don't try to justify what is done.

  • uh, Vietnam was not a genocide unless you're talking about the million plus people killed by the communists. So please, get your facts right.

  • thank you man

  • Are you fucking kidding me man. The USA did not kill people because they felt like it. people were killed because the Fucking North Vietnames were killing people and were using civilians to help them fight against the americans. Also dud that is war and thats what happens in war.

  • What is comes down to is that most of these Africans are savages, not much different from the exotic animals that live there. They are tribes with violent histories and can never be rehabilitated. There should have never been an end to colonialism, most of these countries did better as colonies. One friend went as far to say that they should take all the animals out of Africa, throw an atomic bomb in there, kill the people and then put the animals back. Kinda makes you wonder...

  • What a perfect example of the core of the problem.

metsdudenj that perspective, that lack of heart, understanding, compassion and that foolish clumping together of alll people into one collective "type" is the reposne of the very savage that you speak of. Only when we treat our fellow man in this way do we make room for the horrors of genocide. How can you expect goodness in others when this is what you offer of yourself.

  • ... It does make you wonder. Makes one wonder how the US has survived despite citizens as utterly ignorant of human history as you clearly are. It's instructive that white europeans spent the first 5,000 years of modern history as the "Savages" that could do no better than slaughter each other without even the aid of hand tools. Personally I've always thought the US would be allot better off if we just "nuked" New Jersey, just gps the bomb to your home address. Kinda makes you wonder...

  • You are ridiculous. Study history. Study Russians, Italians, Germans...don't remain ignorant.

  • your friend is an idiot because first of all its like imposible to take all of the animals out of Africa when there are the most animals in that continent, and second of all they wouldnt be able to live because all the plants would be dead and the radiation. third, nuking a large continent in the intention of killing people would be far more inhuman than anything Africans ever did. what are you like 8 years old?

  • Napoleonic war makes 6 millions of deads,ww1 9, ww2 55...,etc....That's why as a Swiss I do think that Great Britain, Germany Spain, France, Russia and USA are wild primitive barbarians since in my country people speaking different languages ,like in many places in Africa people are able to live in peace.

  • I didn't like the fact that it didn't say WHY THEY TARGETED BELGIANS. It's because when the Belgians colonized Rwanda they were the ones who put the Tutis hide up as the elites. Not until in the end did they leave the country to the Hutus to try to make it better. That's one of the reasons the Hutus targeted Belgains & were to be killed on the spot. If the Americans were to stayed and help I think if would of done at least some good.

  • ummmmm, that wasn't the reason they targeted Belgiums. They targeted Belgiums because Belgium was the main UN force in Rwanda and they knew that if they killed Belgians then Belgium would pull out of the mission and then the UN would pull out completely.

  • Yes.

  • kudos what ever that shit means and i didnt ask 4 and explaination and it wasnt by force to leave the country dumb ass so kudos to yourself

  • trust the yanks to pull out first

  • wouldnt want anyone in harms way ?

What about the 800,000 + people that you left to die and be hacked to death. You could have sent soldiers in to protect people. You cannot just turn you back on people ! You bastards !!

  • That's exactly what I was thinking. I was like, "wow b*tch! nice saying there!" Wouldn't want anyone in harms way? You mean you white people in harms way? Sure the rest could die. So pathetic to say such a thing.

  • what makes dem to think there life is more value than ours kwasiah sem all while there talking there feeling so sorri 4 there own so sorri 4 the americans what about us am not being selfish but pple act as if were less than them they treat us like sh*t and i cant stand it !!!!!!! am a ghanian and this makes me mad as hell and this is all over africa stuff like this is happening all over weres the justis

  • ghanagal17, please don't think that is the attitude of us all. I am not American, i'm Canadian but I know that most people if it was up to us, we would have stayed. Kudos to your country for staying when the rest of the world left.

  • I appreciate the effort of peace keepers, but the cold reality is: we cannot police the world.

  • You're right because the UN was false security, it did more harm than good. But on the other hand, there needs to be a real government in Africa with real power, or else there will be more genocides.

  • europe is a country? did i miss something?

  • Is Begium the capital of Amsterdam? or is it Paris?

  • lol. Belgium is a country all by itself.

  • the UN has blood on their hands. A bunch of completely incompetent assholes.

  • the UN outside of Rwanda you mean, right?

  • Tell me, have you ever worked for the UN?

  • In my opinion those who can watch this documentary on this tragedy, and feel other than sympathetic to those who lost thier lives in the most brutal way are the same people who are able to commit crimes like these. The same people who hold very little regard for human life no matter what ethnicity, race, religion etc.
