I've recently used PJ64 to see if the door actually leads anywhere. The results is possitive and with the Moon Jump cheat I actually got through the door. As MarioSonic195 said, it leads to the adult shooting range. Normally you would be given a bow to shoot with but since you play as a kid, the shop-keeper gives you the normal slingshot.

as i noticed it's a just the laziness of the developer to get the door out of there. The door is later used for the full house after the script is altered by the pulling of the master sword.

@S1rkooli0 Actually, the map you see normally in the game is just a map with people. the people are map objects. then you have a scene file which contains cutscenes, collision, entrys, exits and save data for that level. Kakariko village has only 1 scene while it has multiple maps.
