I love your work mariel, and i know you dont know me but, i think this could have been so much more than just a choreografy following the lyrics, you could have done something more about the theme, and even following the lyrics, and instead of putting some cool moves, you could have done something else!

But not trying to say i could do better or anytingh, it would be diferent, but i Like it a lot, not love it, but like it! =)

There's haters who hate just to hate, and then there's honest to God taboo of not giving people credit where credit is due. It's simple. Daniel Johnston wrote the song. Karen O and the Kids did a (IMHO Great) cover of it. Those are just the facts. Karen O would agree with me that pretending Johnston doesn't exist would be unfortunate. Any serious artist (hopefully even these dancers) would frown upon giving an uncredited (or half credited in this case) source.

Ellen Kim led me here! lol. I really liked the choreography, I thought it was really playful and childlike, much like the sound of the song, but still held that quiet sadness that the lyrics play out. That's how I saw it anyway..

Good dancing, it just didn't go w/ the song (for me). Also, Karen O wouldn't appreciate it that you not credit Daniel Johnston. Daniel is a great inspiration to many artists including Karen. It's like. . . Iono. . . Nirvana getting credited for "Man Who Sold The World" You may think their version is better, but it's still not cool to go around pretending the original artist didn't exist.

@CarlosIsDown It's probably an honest mistake that she didn't credit Mr. Johnston. There's people who know that Daniel Johnston wrote "Worried Shoes" but there are more who think that Karen O wrote it. It's not pretending Mr. Johnston doesn't exist, it's just an unawareness of him. His version wasn't featured in a mainstream movie after all. I'm sure Mariel will give credit where credit's due once she signs on, because if you will check, she hasn't signed on in two weeks. So don't worry yeah? :]
