Originally the women who played Emma and Lucy on Broadway were Christiane Noll and Linda Eder, the original recording it was Linda Eder as Lucy and Carolee Carmello as Lisa.
If you mean who wrote the song, it's Frank Wildhorne. (That's not spelled correctly, I don't think.)
In the final production, yes. On the original concept album the names were Lisa and Lucy rather than Emma and Lucy so, technically, Carolee Carmello WAS playing Emma...no one knew it at that point, though. Ha ha.
