  • Hmmmmnnnn

  • I hope our descendents find this in a thousand years. They will think we were good.

  • i love this song .the guitar is so good on this one, every one plays great on this one.

  • Fantástico depois de tantos anos, traz-me recordações de outros tempos. Obrigado. Gracias. Merci.

    Ths

  • Sometimes in this new age of techno texting we dont take the time to hear the wonderious stories of the elderly, our parents, granparents great aunts and uncles. They are a wealth of knowlege and wonderful stories.... if we only took the time.

  • This was not a product of the Chris Squire money-making machine of 2012.

  • one tiny quibble with the lyrics, "or lands they were in his mind" should read "NOR lands they were in his mind."

  • best sound by far bro love old school class

  • Gotta love YouTube--this song popped into my head (I was reminded of it, believe it or not, by recalling a theme from John Williams HP music), giving me a strong yen to hear it...so I dropped by, hoping YT would have it--and of course they have several versions of "Wonderous Stories"! Glad I picked this one; its visuals are so magical and, well, "wondrous".

    @25ghr:

I had just told my husband "This song reminds me of LotR. :-)

    Thx for posting it, vzqk50CL!

  • man i used to love this band. well its still cool. just maaaybe cooler in memory.

  • I miss the stories from my grandfather...

I onced dismissed them as ramblings of an old man.

Now, as I age, I hear them, and I listen...

    He knew much

  • Great flashback.

  • * * * * *

  • In the giving of my eyes to see your face.

  • I love the girl reading the book at the end she is such a sweet heart , the whole video captures the song , very Tolkienesque , sheer Magic

  • Rick Wakeman is a genius and a living legend !

  • Great music is timeless

  • im 162 years old and i love this song.

  • @attentionwhoreusa ha ha haaa

  • The Music helps

  • Thank you so much for putting this up! I love this song.

Could you tell me where I can find that beautiful picture at the end, with the girl reading the book? Thank you.

  • 34 years old and still sounds brilliant

  • @Squab1972 Yes, you are rjght. It is simply beautiful.

  • Um, comparing Rush and Yes is more like comparing dark chocolate to MILK chocolate maybe. I mean, progressive rock with extremely competent musicians (guitars in the case of Yes as a standout, bass in the case of Rush as the same)

They're not THAT dissimilar, frankly. I mean, compare the live version of The Trees/Xanadu on Exit Stage Left to live songs from Yes in the mid-70's and you'll see what I mean. Rush is a bit more Rock, Yes a bit more orchestral. Otherwise...

  • rush is a shit, yes is a better much!

  • What a wonderous song! Love it!

  • The guy that thinks Rush is better than Yes needs to put down the pipe.

All the "other" bands wish they could find their Tales from Topographic Oceans.

  • damn these guys were and still are very good, probably the second best progressive rock band of all time, course no one can surpass Rush, I'm sorry to say that to all die hard Yes fans. Don't take me wrong, love Yes but it takes them 5 guys to make their sound and it takes rush only 3, which is amazing!!!!

  • @BLUESMANRONCHICAGO Comparing Yes and Rush is like comparing garlic and chocolate.

  • @IwanttoliveinParis realize their music is quite different, and i wasn't comparing their music. Just saying that for a 3 piece band, no one can surpass Rush's sound.

  • where do you find this artwork?

  • @kylebossify I don't know a place for these particular works of art, but please search e.g with words "fantasygallery" and "beinart" I believe you can get hints to proceed to find exact style of art you are after :)

  • When YESSHOWS came out (w/ a live version of this) we listened to it all Winter right thru the Summer (and then some). My bro blew a fuse on his Fisher Studio Standard stereo during the peak of 'Gates' live cranked up to '11'

  • holy shit listing to this song on acid taught me particle physics

  • I tried lucy for the first time, the other day. things began to go sour at one point, and i began to quietly sing this song to myself. a journey to hell quickly became the most profound experience of my life.. hugs not drugs though, that was all hypothetical;)

  • Beautiful. I saw Yes at Red Rocks in 2003 in the rain, They were amazing!

  • great track.

  • One of the best songs by Yes.

  • Happy birthday Jon Anderson! My favourite singer..one of my favourite YES tunes. <3

  • Your video makes my spirit climb into the sky

  • magical song great visuals .

  • I Awoke this morning....Listening to YES

  • Fantastico Tema

  • I was a freshmen driving in a truck with some older boys who had put on Going For the One in their tape deck and it was like the first time I really heard music that spoke to my spirit. I ran out and bought this strange CD and had a bit of a Yes spell for the rest of high school. Strange because AC/DC and Judas Priest were the in bands (love them too) but I was happy just staying in this wondrous YES world I had discovered.

  • I'm homesick now.........

  • Great video! Timeless ballad from an age gone by! Not forgotten by all!!

  • I agree, thanks David!

  • Thank you so much David. This has always been my favorite vision crafted by you. I bet Jon Anderson would be very happy with this if he ever saw/sees it. Just exquisite, ethereal, especially at 2:55 with the lovely lady fair reading her book surrounded by butterflies. So enchanting it gives me chills. More than beautiful & sublime. Thank you for re-posting this!
