Word around the Venice area for decades now has been that Alzado was a closet homosexual who died of AIDS. Supposedly the brain cancer he had is very common in AIDS sufferers and extremely rare in those who don't have HIV / AIDS. Just what I've heard from numerous sources - I have no firsthand knowledge of any of that. But his own doctor stated that bodybuilding drugs did NOT cause his death.

Alzado's word is no good. It wasn't the steroids it was deeper demons than that. The steroids were just an off-shoot of way bigger issues
