  • best i ever seem

  • Incredible skill and flexibility shown by this master

  • Hey Paulie many years ago, early 90's, I was teaching a class at Harbin Hot springs . You came in, took class, and afterwards offered to show me a few things. As you flew around the room in black silks like an apparition I was dutifully impressed, you were cool and I have told the story many times, best wishes in taking your place in the current pantheon

  • If Paulie Zink says "yoga" , DO YOGA! His flexibility allows strength you would never expect, he his a true phenomenon.

  • Have yo performed in china also?not many people were trained the old way like you . i can compare the athleticism even to modern wu shu standards

  • My apologies for saying this, but I am merely a practioner of self-defense I do not participate in the competitions. I do ,however, have an appreciation for those who have a level of skill such as his. The only three I can't are lying on your back, head through the legs, and rolling the way he did. I follow more in the footsteps of Lee Jun Fan, one of the most inspirational people to come out f my great state of Washington not far from where I live.

  • wow!

  • Hi Paulie, how have you been? I was just checking out some videos and thought I would see what you had up... Miss trianing and spending time with you.

    Brent

  • How do you practise something like that, and get that good without constant injuries?

  • yoga

  • I was there....it was amazing!!!

  • awesome i'm tryin to use monkey staff techniques in my freestyle fire twirling.. its already started to change my whole style for the better like i'm goin into another level of stick work but still with an artistic flair.. well i'm back of to watch some journey to the west episodes.. lol

  • i think this is amongst the most inspirational performances of any art form that i have ever seen. i would dedicate my life to this, were i to have my time again.

  • its never too late for an old dog to learn new tricks

  • Sublime. I am always looking to be genuinely impressed by a person's martial art skill but it very rarely happens. This is one time where the skill and the person are ONE.

  • You can see why they call it martial 'arts'. They really are artists these guys.

  • Incredible precision, skill and flexibility! A truly wonderful display from a master of his craft.

  • wow

  • Excellent. Been following you for a long time. Could you upload some more competition movies? It would be great to see some more!

  • Unfortunately there was only a handful of films made of Paulie's competitions.

  • i would like to see him in action against another person using the monkey forms ( no weopans)

  • WOW!

  • Greetings Sifu Paulie,

I am a life long fan.

I come from the generation of teenage martial artists that used to idolize kung fu masters such as yourself, Al Dacascos, Doc Fai Wong, Yang Jwing Ming, Adam Hsu, Buck SamKong and too many other greats to name. It is an honor to be able to witness your performances online.

    Peace be with you

    Matthew

  • Thank you very much Matthew.

    Paulie

  • any online lessons ????

  • Sorry, there are no on line lessons.

  • Paulie Zink is very special. His dedication is an inspiration to us all.He inspires me to push harder for excellence in my art.(wing Chun)I have had his videos for many years but my knees cant take it now but I am going to do his yoga. The funny thing about monkey kung fu is you have to give %110 or it just looks half baked. There are only a handful that ive seen that gives it any justice.Master Zink certainally put in the time 6 to 8 hours a day. Thanks for the example to us all of true kung fu

  • Very impressive. Flawless execution.

  • Dont kung fu people have wooden sticks? I know it may not be the most important thing, but I have never noticed anyone else performe with a metal staff.

  • Yes, wooden staffs are the common type used in practice. The silver staff was Paulie's trademark.

  • I can now see why this guy is sooo highly reguraded.

  • Wonderful performance then - and now. Hope you're well.

  • Fantastic, really captured the essence of the monkey.

  • You're "the top cock"!!!! It is a traditional style? Where I live only teach WuShu, but I don't like it so much as traditional.

Anyway. The form is awesome ^.^

  • O.O Wow

  • you switched to tall monkey around 1:20 yes?

  • yes

  • that was sooo cool! too bad you don't see too many traditional competitors like that now a days...

  • It was good no question about it.

  • For me, I prefer traditional arts like this than wushu but its also much more fun to watch.

  • Flawless as always... a form that was breath taking in the 80's and would hold up in any championship today!
