  • ok cool monitor, but really poor video. its a slideshow that lasts 30 secs & has no music. even poor elevator music is better than nothing at all

  • NOBODY LIKES SLIDESHOWS

  • that guy looks closer to a dinosaur than almost any other reptile i've seen. Monitors are strange lizards.

That would be cool if they ever found a live mosasaur out there in one of the oceans. (its an evolutionary link between monitor lizards and snakes)

  • oh damn and i thought savs were fatties but they broke that record

  • how much dose a baby one cost

  • @dakotab619 bout 150 usd

  • How many ft is your monitor?

That is like the perfect size.

  • i like to put my little nile in the bathtub with enough water for him to swim but not too deep, i put on basketball shorts or work pants and sit on the edge of the tub with my feet in the water, when he wants out, he knows that i am his ticket back to his cage, and i am the only thing to climb out onto so it builds trust. use luke warm water, some people dont use water, i think it calms him down, then again some people dont like this method at all, just be persistent and patient with taming

  • @jeffjohnson801 wow you must wait a long time in the tub since these monitors love the water lol cause i have one and am going to try your method and see if it works

  • Nice specimen......... is that a full grown female?

  • you guys hes not fat or obese hes actually very healthy

  • that thing is obese you gotta stop feeding him so much

  • what a fatty

  • that thing is incredibly obese!!!

    settle down on the feedings!!

  • Nice ! is that a full grown?

  • plz reply. any tips on taming a 3 month old white throat monitor?

  • just handle him a couple times a week for 15-20 min intervals. and remember never come from above and grabs him or lift up his hide. use a scooping motion. end on a good note

  • i personally dont own one but im pretty sure that if u handle it every day it should be fine but nothing can be TRULY TAMED but it can get pretty close i believe this goes with any reptile...i own a snake

  • You can start by grab it... put your hand on the substrate and get closet to him little by little.... if he hizzes don't back up your hand because that's a defeat sign for lizards and willl think they dominate so get close slowly but sure and handle him until it comes down in your hands... do that repeatly each day
