  • well to answer they are from co wicklow clare and cork in ireland

  • I bought one CD and love it. I will wake up with it and go to sleep praying with the words of their music. I am a proud Irish- American woman who celebrates my 70th birthday on St. Patrick's Day. This is a beautiful gift to me. By the way, I've been to the place where my grandmother was born and the Church in County Monaghan.. I could have dual citizenship but it's a bit late now. I think that Heaven must look so much like Ireland. It is so beautiful. Thank you, dear Fathers. I pray for U.

  • Amazing !!!!! Thank you for posting.

  • Wonderful sound.

  • Really liked this for many reasons. I'm of Irish descent, I used to sing in a boys' choir, and I have a Catholic priest fraternity brother who has a lovely voice.

  • Oh man this is really cool!!! They are so talented, I am not sure that any of the priests at my church could sing like them! :D

  • This song and these performers stun me over and over again. When and where was this recorded? The surroundings are so beautiful.

I love this song not only because of the fascinating melody, but also because of the lyrics that really in its simplicity and depth touched me. There is a feeling of familiarity about the images, which for a Finn like me is seldom found in poetry outside the Nordic countries.

Thank you so much for posting this...

  • They have cds out for purchase. This was filmed for a british TV show about "songs" that have to do with "praise"

It was aired early last year. ...Oh, and you're welcome!!!

  • I agree - totally awesome and awe-inspiring.

I've heard this sung a lot when visiting Ireland, sung by various soloist/choirs and with different (or zero) accompaniment. It's always very moving, and this recording and performance is no exception.

    Thanks for uploading it, expostfactum!

  • @finnhere2

would you believe the Priest on the far left Fr Eugene sang and said the Eulogy at my Fathers Funeral BallyClare 2007

  • @oldbag010101 I'm sorry to hear about your loss, oldbag010101, but it's hard to imagine a finer voice to sing your Father to his journey.

I have uploaded this whole episode of "Songs of Praise" to my channel, if you are interested.

  • @finnhere2
