@Skycruiserify i am not denying he is 1 of the greatest all rounder i am just talking about batting think , dont talk winning thing... matches are won by team and specially bowlers.. ponting and kallis both got the greatest bowlers bowlers to support... ponting got far better team wheather u talk about batting support or bowling or bowing support.. while kallis got the 2nd best team of the priod infact after 2007 SA is not the best bowling unit....
@Skycruiserify had sachin got team these players got at least 40 of his 100s in test would had come in victory if u have guts show me the ings of kallis and ponting the kind of inngs that sachin and lara played throught there carrier... show me the kind of knock that sachin played at jonsburg in 1992 when he was just 18 year kid he scored 100 and rest no playe able to cross 25 in that inngs, the kind of kock he played in 1994 in perth , his 122 vs eng no othr player able to cross even 18..

I think kallis scored a ton in both innings with a broken rib bone without a runner and secured a draw from a sure defeat and before you say abt indian bowlers i think Zaheer was named in ICC test team of the year , Harbhajan took a fifer in that match , so no way he was facing a ordinary bowling . Moreover kallis has even won his team matches with bowl by picking important wickets...

@Skycruiserify in 90s we in one series india opens with mongia then in next series with sidhu then in next series with majerekar, laxman so on..... india was the worst batting side in 90s... only azhar was hee to support but that too only in indian pitches see his record outside india it sucks... dravid came in 96 but was very ordinary if u remove his performance against zimbabwe.. till 2001...laxman was nobody till that knock of 281 against aus in 2001 his avg was just 27...
@36pratham kallis never had a good opening pair to give him a foundation neither a good mid order to hold the innings together , You say india never had seamers so what SA didnt had any (even decent) spinner for that matter , You say Dravid is ordinary well that shows how blindly you follow cricket (or sachin only ) Dravid took the pressure off Sachin mate . Dravid has rescued the team on numerous occasions ,

in 2005 he has won 6 matches in 100s and in 2006 7 so total 13 100s in 2 years.. pls tell me why some one who has 13 100s in 2 years in victory has 2 just 100s in vic in last 2 years... lols

2. Kallis - 5591 runs at an avg of 65.01
3. Sachin - 5473 runs at an avg of 67.56
*Ponting has most number of centuries (28) .
**Kallis has 169 Wickets at an avg of 23.58 .No wonder why he should be rated as the best cricketer.
