  • Why do all pianists insist on playing this piece at an impossible tempo ....only to fuck up the pulse? It's meant to be quavers in 3/4 and they are all adding an extra beat to each bar just because they are not fast enough to play those big chords in time.

  • technicaly, it is not bad. But there is no interpretation or emotion!! it is an spanish piece, where all is emotion and feelings... well done, but try to understand the piece and interpretate it.

Listen to Alicia de Larrocha's version, you'll se what i mean.

  • yeah!! that was amazing!!

    well done!

  • Esta version en piano es muy buena pero a mi parecer carece de la pasion que solo una guitarra es capaz de brindar...

  • i feel joy reading the comments, love the atmosphere, cheers guys, its an amazing piece performed good, i love it!

  • La versión suena muy bien es magnífica. Lástima que hay otra gente interpretando la canción pero el sonido no ayuda.

  • Maravillosa interpretacion. la mejor en you tube. me haces poner la piel de gallina.

    saludos.

    Andres Fernandez

  • in my opinion, from a musician, this is the best piano version on youtube

  • I think of like mind, just not to many piano versions to choose from, wouldnt u love to hear argerich or richter play this?

  • oh god in heaven yes i would love it. Did rubinstein play this piece ever? I've heard his cordoba but not much else.

  • Please do not argue that the piano version is better or that the guitar version is better. Each has its own beauty to offer, and any argument related to this is both ignorant and not constructive.

  • very true :)

  • That's what hodori1984 said.

  • Then Hodori is clever. Great minds think alike.

  • Did someone say that quote too?

  • It's true. Both the Piano and Guitar versions are beautiful in their own way. You can't compare them as to which is better although the song was originaly written for Piano but has become better known in guitar form.

  • Each instrument has it's own beauty, this song sounds spaniard in guitar and piano version, and that's the reason why Albeniz had genius as a composer

  • wow wow wow !! as if he really is making luv to that piano... look at his position and the movement of his hands...

sometimes u see things that just amaze u ... ive played piano for 14 years but this was just wow.................

  • Muy lindo... yo creo que conosco tu nombre... ya tuviste en Brasil?

  • if good played its better then piano.. but it should be pleyed well...

  • This song sounds better on piano than guitar.

  • but it is written for the piano^^

  • Actually this is a difficult piece... but for me the version of Pavlo Galdo is much better.

  • Wow i like this person he plays without emotion, but it works and makes this song look easy WHICH IT'S NOT.

  • i like the way he's playing.

  • I play this myself on guitar but this was a real treat to hear played so well and expresively on piano....and ah...not too fast either like some pianists do. Bravo sir a delight to listen to!

  • ¡Excelente Edgardo!

  • excellent, i enjoyed :)))

  • this is defenetly a guitar peace but here sounds very good.thnx for posting

  • It was actually written for piano by Albeniz, and only later transcribed and modulated for guitar; although the piano piece is supposed to be reminiscent of Spanish guitar :)

  • Andres Segovia played this on guitar first, I think :)

  • nimamc, this was written for the piano by Albeniz, in the 1800s. He was a student of Listz. He also wrote Malaguena. In the 1900s guitar players started playing it. I love it on the guitar... but lets give the composer his respect.

  • it was written for piano but works better on guitar i think

  • Yes, I agree.

  • no for piano...

  • Excellent
