Rowles was just beautiful: an encyclopaedic knowledge of the great American songbook. One of the finest accompanists and solo pianists of his era who shared the stage with some of the greatest names in jazz. I miss him.
One of the all-time great ballads. Many singers have sung it. Singing the 5th trill (i.e., the one between b and e) (that Getz plays, imitating a peacock shaking its feathers) is not easy to do!
I heard it for the first time today and had to find it again. love it
