  • LOL People argue about how many Bond movies there are on every one of this guys videos.

  • @colinsnooks yep, it's lolsy.

  • I thought it was a mistake to have Cleese play that role. They should have cast a good, but unknown actor as they did with Llewelyn. Glad to see Robbie Coltrane reappear. The title song is just a bit better than it seemed at first. Most people find this film boring and uninvolving, despite an engaging pre-credits sequence. Brosnan is assured as Bond. If they were attempting to repeat OHMSS, the script really wasn't up to it.

  • alright very good review em its been a while since iv seen this movie and i was just wandering does Valentin Zukovsky (robbie coltrane) die in this movie ?

  • I don't know, I personally enjoy this movie quite a bit. Brosnan, Zukovsky, and M were all awesome in this movie, and I like its increased focus on M. And I found Elektra to be an extremely seductive villainous who, is kind of one of those rare characters you "love to hate".

To the credit of your criticisms, Denise Richards was a really flat Bond girl. I didn't find her performance painful, but she's no match for Honey Ryder, Wai Lin, Tracy Di Vincenzo, or Pussy Galore. No comparison at all.

  • @TheAeroAvatar To add to that, the finale with the sub was extremely convoluded and clumsy. Exciting, but not exciting enough for me. It just did not pan out well, and Renard's death coulda been even more dramatic, even if him getting impaled by a nuclear rod seemed cool at the time. It was really the ending that comes up painfully short compared with the rest of the film. I mean, the sub didn't explode, it literally just fell apart. How anti-climactic.

  • @NecroVMX...A villain impervious to pain is an....=EPIC FAIL. Good review still. I have to admit Renard is a weak villain.

  • Such a shame liberal hollywood is too chicken shit to have Bond go up against an Al Queda type group. If Hollywood was like it is now in the 1960's a Bond film would have never been made because the liberal producers would have felt the KGB should be the good guys

  • Not the 22nd movie lol

  • @Loganh24 You are stupid.

  • i love ur reviews but i rate it higher, although its formulaic theres a lot of new additions, q's leaving, elektra being a villain when she was perceived as a 'good' bond girl, bond's bmw which after tnd you'd expect to be full of gadgets gets destroyed (kinda like in fyeo). i do agree that the 1st half of the film was great especially the pre title sequence, the ski chase, m's involvement. i'd probably give it a 6 or a 7 but everyone has an opinion ppl should understand that, i don't judge lol

  • I read the reviews before seeing this film and like you I initially found it hard to believe that the Bond team could drop the ball like this, after what had preceeded it. It was during the Scottish scenes that I felt the movie's Bond 'feel' and pace weren't really working. And it just really continued downhill after that. The ending was just boring. Apart from the pre-credits sequence, the action scenes feel heavy-handed. Coltrane was a plus, but it just all felt so average.

  • I thought Renards death was pretty cool. Not brilliant, but cool. "Shes waiting for you" was one of my favorite bond lines ever.

  • I thought christmas only comes once a year

  • "This film trades smart and tough for... well, Denise Richards." Haha awesome! Loved the movie, but hated her!

  • I give 3/10. I agree this one is bland and the producers have wasted money again ! on explosions! Why are they convinced audiences are thrilled with nonsense explosions!??

I disagree: «The man with golden gun » is in another league, it was possibly the best Moore-Bond movie in the seventies!

Major problem: this Bond, rather the now gone James O'bond was softy wussy akward, he can act, but cannot be Bond, he cannot be tough, at least not physically, he does not have the credibiltyofSC or RM.

  • Dennise Richards as a nuclear scientist is as credible as OJ Simpson's innocence.

  • I think your foot falling asleep on you is different from not feeling pain. What you are describing is called cramp. There are people in reality that can't feel pain, but they end up injuring themselves more because of this. Your right, though, this film could have been a lot better.

  • I must admit I rather enjoyed this film. Despite the flaws (Denise Richard's rather unconvincing acting) I found the story entertaining and compelling (I liked the way the main villain was at first painted to be Renard). There were also some good scenes like the boat chase and the torture sequence, which stick out in a good way to me. Elektra is also stunning and alluring.

Finally - and most importantly - the film feels like Bond.

  • This was the only James Bond movie that I found to feel sorry for the villians.

  • i love this movie this was the fisrt bond movie i saw(this goldeneye and from russia with love)

  • 22nd bond movie? iiiiiiiiii dont think so

  • @Mehero1000 well you'd be wrong. check the playlist. (god I'm tired of people making these comments)

  • This movie always makes me forget it's plot and I always like fall asleep during it...yawns

  • @capKcan No I don't, and who cares if you or anyone takes me "serious"

How about this. You need to stop telling me what to do. Try that.

  • @NecroVMX dude calm down. your asshole level is just shooting up.

  • @mrnorvilletuffnuts Trying to catch up with you, but it hasn't happened yet.

  • TWINE is great, it has good acting by Pierce and Sophie Marceau, it has some memorable scenes like the opening and the killing of elektra. The movie is way better than Tomorrow never dies and Die another Day

  • @PO2716 quite ugly for a bond girl too

  • @PO2716 she didnt really fit in

  • Great opening witht eh boat chase, shit rest of. Brosnan is just a smug twat in a suit from here on in.

  • I must say, this movie wasn't that bad as you described it. OK, it's not near as good as goldeneye or licence to kill, but i think it's an avarage bond movie.

  • @brotkasten83 No, it's exactly as bad as I described it. That's why I described it that way.

  • All 4 of the last movies went downhill. Goldeneye was great, Tnd is real good, alright and DAD was horrible.

  • They could of called this film Bond And The Beutiful. Horrible.

  • This movie has got to have the worst bond girls! That is no understatement.

  • This movie is basically the beginning of the end for the original series.

  • I totally agree with you about TWINE. Started brightly but ran out of steam very quickly. I didn't feel anything towards Elecktra King the way the character was written - no criticism of the actress herself meant. Carlyle's part was an even bigger disappointment. I don't think Michael Apted was the right director for a Bond film.

  • I don't really c how Christmas Jones could be the worst bond girl. she was amazing. but electra was even more amazing. plus this film was gr8

  • Thats why the killing of EK is such a dramatic moment. I do agree though that the weak link in the film is Denise Richards.

  • I thought TWINE was a pretty good one. It was certainly PB's best after Goldeneye. TWINE makes good use of some great actors and actresses, most notibly Renard and Electra King. The character of EK had a sense of both mystery and beauty and was also revealed to be an extremely deceptive person who played Bond and everyone around her (this the first time Bond had feelings of sympathy for a femme fatal).

  • i think u have it reversed because i felt like this was better then tommorw never dies.

  • this and goldeneye was my favorate

  • This film is SOOOOOO 1999 xD

  • Strange that you said that the four movies before this one was awesome. I loved TLD, and LTK was underrated. Then when it comes to GoldenEye, I think it's an excellent action movie, but as a Bond movie, it's just... meh. TND is my second least favorite Bond movie, but an OK action movie. TWINE isn't really Bond either, but I still think it's more like a Bond movie than the other Brosnan Bond flicks.

  • I first saw this one a couple weeks ago and thought it was okay, but definitely not Brosnan's best. Denise Richards was godawful, though.

  • Saw this in the theater and short of the reveal with Sophie I saw everything coming. Best action is right at the begining leaving nothing left over, the villian was weak, and the movie is boring and a shit ending, everything you don't want. I don't hate Denise Richards the way about 99% of everyone else does but shes towards the bottom. I like how the French posters for this movie put Sophie in the foreground instead of Denise.

  • This is my least favourite bond film, The Man With The Golden Gun was amazing.

    Y do you hate it.

  • I covered that rather well in the review.

  • Man I watched this last night and it brought back cool memories

  • Despite of many people hate this movie I found it really great and entertaining. TWINE was great Action/Adventure movie. Pierce Brosnan was OK. Sophie Marceau (Elektra King) was definitely one of the most beautiful Bond Girls. She was a villain but you really feel sorry for her death.

Garbage's theme song wasn't the best soundtrack I've ever heard but was definitely one of the most memorable Bond themes.

  • The song was good.

  • elektra king is the hottest bond girl ever

  • Correct.

  • @johndoe85 She Is quite cute. I also loved Sophie In Braveheart.

  • Bad review

  • bad comment

  • @NecroVMX good reply

  • Lewellyn said that this was his last Bond film, well before this movie was released. That was why they gave him that fancy exit as his little, farewell people, its been fun, kind of thing. He decided to quit after this one. He happened to die shortly after, but that had nothing to do with him not being in the following movie, he said that this movie would be his last....

  • Denise Richards as a nuclear scientist? NO FUCKING WAY. It's like casting Hulk Hogan as a professional chess player or Peter Lorre as an axe-wielding viking. Or Leslie Nielsen as Hamlet. It simply doesn't fit.

  • I don't know I liked the world is not enough it a really good bond movie with Brosnan and the movie really showed the future of what the other Bond movies with Dainel Craig where going to be like and were the Franshise was heading into for 21st cenntry with the bond Seris and the new Seris with Craig I think Brosan's bond movies were never dispointing even if the 007 flim has a borning plot and alot people say Brosan is a bad Bond but hostenty those people are Idoits Brosan is cool bond

  • Hey great reviews but about your description. Goldeneye was the 17th Bond Film. Tomorrow Never Dies was the 18th Bond film. The World Is Not Enough Was the 19th Bond film and Die Another Day was th 20th Bond film also marking its 40th anniversary. Great Videos, love em by the way but I would reccomend editing your descriptions.

  • I'd recommend you take a look at my playlist actually.

  • @jamesbonddieaday I wonder what is going to happen for Bond's 50th anniversary, only 2 years away. Is there a movie coming out?

  • This is actually my fav Brosnan Bond film and one of my top 5 favs, I have no clue why you would give it a 4/10. The score was great, the villains were great (Renard was a little over the top but for once we see James Bond begging for mercy at the hands of a woman) and the action scenes were great. To each his own I suppose, great reviews though, I watched them all =)

  • Dude, while I have no problem with people disagreeing with me, I find it odd that you'd "have no clue" why i gave it a 4 after I just spent 5 minutes explaining why in the video

  • This one is weird, you watch it once and its amazing! But you watch it twice and its not that good :/

  • Like you, I thought the first two Brosnan films were pretty good, but everything about this film was terrible. Even the boat chase: Bond's craft looks like something out of Thunderbirds.

  • i think the only thing that people liked about this film was that Sophie Marceau was fricking HOT!

  • I love Judy Dench, but M is made to look silly in this film. There is NO WAY such an important person would be allowed to be put in danger the way she places herself in danger here.

Denise Richards is gorgeous in this film but her performance is downright embarrassing. A nuclear physicist with a Ph.D.? Denise Richards?? What's next, Kellie Pickler as world-renowned chess champion? Paris Hilton as a Nobel laureate in medicine?

  • when you see her once, she's hot, but when you look closely, she's not much to look at. i think that Marceau was 1,000,000 times hotter

  • Well, I could look at Denise Richards a thousand times and she would still be as hot as a firecracker. She not only has a prettier face than Sophie Marceau, but her breasts are much larger. Big tits are important to me.

  • sicko

  • Oh, don't be such a goody-two shoes!! There is absolutely NOTHING sick or shameful about a man being attracted to hot women with big gozangas.

And just FYI, Sara Evans is my favorite singer!!!

And I have a photo of a topless Jayne Mansfield taped to my bathroom mirror!!

And my physician is a brunette with a fucking nice rack; I always get an huge erection when she examines me down there!!!

So there, put that in your Pat Robertson prude-pipe and smoke it !!!!!!!!

  • i know that.

  • How is it sick to like breasts?

It's not sick it's completely natural.

  • i meant to say pervert

  • Then you don't know what that word means

  • i messed up.

    lets drop this.

    good review

  • You know you're right about the tits, but I gotta disagree about the face, sophie marceau has a much prettier face!

  • thats what i said. marceau is much hotter.

  • idk what your taling about The World Is Not Enough is the best bond film of the series

  • o.O

  • This movie was AWSOME!

  • @bigjamesbondfan Have u ever watched the sixties Bond?; watch everyhting till this messy-explosion-wussy-Bond-movie and then we shall talk again. Cheers.

  • If Zombies ever attacked, I would probably hide in a gas station or something

  • What's that got to do with anything?

  • What DOESN'T it have to do with anything?!? =O Thinking outside the Box lol

  • You know... if you ever are like jumping across pools of molten lava, and you drop your keys.... forget it man... they are gone.

  • Agreed, its settled then! Tomorrow at dawn we ATTACK

  • i thought i knew james bond but dude u blow me away, your reviews are great

  • I love the tune -- I think Garbage does a great job.

I also think you are too tough on this movie. I agree that Denise Richards was the worst Bond Girl in history.. vapid and awful. Every scene she was in did not work. But take those away, and this was a pretty good Bond movie. I also disagree about Renard -- a pretty interesting villain. Not as good as the last two movies but better than 4. I say 6.

  • Oh.. but yes, John Cleese was a total misfit in this movie also.
