What is great singer Eddie Fisher was. He had a voice like a bell and was the heart throb of the 1950s. His musical collaborations with Hugo Winterhalter were phenomenal.

Beg pardon, Eddie was on BEFORE John Cameron Swayze; over on CBS, "DOUGLAS EDWARDS WITH THE NEWS" was seen at 7:30, followed by the 15 minute "PERRY COMO SHOW" (for Chesterfield).

In the '50s, NBC and CBS used to have weeknight back-to-back 15 minute news and musical variety shows between 7:30 and 8pm(et); NBC carried Eddie Fisher's "COKE TIME" at 7:30pm, Wednesdays and Fridays, after John Cameron Swayze's "CAMEL NEWS CARAVAN". This a typical Friday night interlude from February 1955, the theme being "relaxing in the ski lodge after a day of winter fun", with Eddie singing two current hits, including his latest release, "Wedding Bells"...
