  • nice! make sure u check out my vids

  • you're great dude

  • HI is this abersold

  • you have a very good sound, if u feel for a little of easier sound try fiber reeds, u'll be surprise....

  • My son plays alto and tenor. Is it hard to transition to soprano? Curious how much you paid for yours....Sounds really nice.

  • @experiment0003 he is probably just using his head as a gesture for "feeling it". He probably just really likes this grove.

@icespartan1171 All saxophones have the same fingerings (excluding altissimo) they only differ on the actual key of the instrument.

  • excellent sound, is what I seek. That sax and mouthpiece used? I have a Yamaha YSS475 and I want to take your metallic sound.

    Thanks, Osvaldo

    manciniosvaldo@gmail.com

  • Do alto sax and saprano sax have the exact same fingerings

  • @icespartan1171 No they are different. Anyone who says other wise has no idea what they are talking about

  • It's just a honey on (to) my ears. Beautyfull, peacefull, happy, nice, relaxing...oh, how I wish I could play sax ... maybe one day... :)

  • Very nice ! Thanks for sharing !

  • Lovely sound!

  • this is so pleasing to the ears.

  • does anybody know why he shakes his head at 0:19?

  • That's so cool :) did you see my Saxophone Blues?

  • Very good Sound.

  • im feelin miles here , love the flow

  • Brilliant work !!! thumbs up

  • I really like this.

  • Nice tone.

  • nice very nice!

  • What is your soprano sax brand?

  • Wonderful !

  • Great tone...Keep Doin It

  • jeah cool sound!

  • What is the Microphone are you using ?

  • very nice job, i loved the tone you can get out of that sax

  • EXCELLENT! Great job!

  • I may know absolutely nothing about sax(and music in general,) but I know what I like. Thanks for the tunes!

  • Great chops man ..... Sounds really good..!

Thanks for posting this clip man, i enjoyed it very much and keep up the great work, Miles and Coltrane are smilin' man....!

  • great soloing, man

  • I always though some whole tone phrasing would sound great in the last eight bars or so when they switch key centers chromatically.

  • Just like Paul Desmond on soprano sax. I liked it very much, you're wonderfull.

  • I played this in Jazz Band, on a baritone sax :3

  • Soprano sax and mouthpiece that you are using in this video?

    I really like your sound

    Osvaldo

  • Nice job. Would be cool if you watch my version of all blues ;)

  • wow!! that was great.

  • Hope you got a root out of this (from your wife I mean). Pretty cool.....

  • Why is your recording setup? What kind of microphone is that..? Great clip! Thanks for sharing

  • Smooth sound...not forced. Where'd you get the backing track and what's the name of the tune?

  • Thanks for the info. I never knew that. I see alot of videos on Youtube and alot of people seem to wear a set of headphones when they play their sax. I never knew "why". But, now I do. Thank you so much for sharing that my friend.

  • What is the purpose of wearing headphones while playing? I've often thought about trying it.

  • @sopranojoe11 It is so that I can hear the backing track, as opposed to playing it through speakers which would mean that the microphone records the backing track as well. This is multi-track recording. The backing track is on track one, then my sax is track 2, I can adjust the level of each track afterwards, or add reverb to the sax track 2. It messes it up (and sounds awful) if you record the backing track (track 1) onto track 2..... simple!!!

  • @sopranojoe11 IF DO THE SAME IN 1 TAKE TRACK, THE SOUNDS IS AWFUL. DID YOU NOW THE BASICS IN SOUND,

  • @sopranojoe11 So yo don't hear what you're playing when you're recording and then you'd be all surprised when you hear the recording. It's more fun that way.

  • Bravo :-)

  • What mouthpiece and Reed do you use on your Soprano Sax? Great song.

  • sweet sweet tone. reminds me of my hero paul desmond in parts

  • nice soft sound, good licks, me like alot!

  • Awesome playing...

  • Great rendition of one of my favorite tunes. Rich phrasing...it's like a lullaby.

  • Very Very nice great sound on the Sop and good feel Miles would approve

  • Nice sound on the soprano. Normally I can't listen to soprano, but crazydaisy has cured me.

    Deftly noodled, to be sure.

  • I'm absolutely delighted! Your soprano fits the tune perfectly and the sound is wonderful. I wish my "noodling" was like this. Thank you again, Matthew.

  • Thanks Ulli, I think the sop is the closest thing I have to a trumpet. I play this song out once a week, so I am pretty used to it, so it seems like noodling to me now :-)

  • good one matt! what's the backing?

  • Hi C+P, it is from the Hal Leonard Real Book backings (the same one as the Hal Leonard Miles Davis book)

  • great sound as usual!

  • Bravo!!!! I really would appreciate you putting all your recordings on a MP3 file to download. I think you should play quintessence (on alto) next.

  • @DMANGUY14, I keep meaning to update my soundclick page, but that takes a while, I'll get around to it soon....

  • @crazydaisydoo i didnt know you had a soundclick page! share?

  • @DMANGUY14 I've been using listentoyoutube.moc to download all his stuff. =D

  • great job man.

    how much was the soprano??

  • About £1200, a bit cheaper than a Yani901, but that was 18 months ago...

  • sounds great.

  • Very awesome.
