I have never played the game, so this might not be relevant, but the whole reason that they drive in all those crazy side-streets and subways is because there is a traffic jam. where is the traffic jam in this game? All I see are wide, open, unoccupied streets with only a few cars here and there.

This mission makes me angry, my Mini had like 99% damage then while in the sewers near the end, I hit one of the columns and failed. :(

i have my ps1 copy of the iitalian job on the psi1.still got my ps1, no ps2, no ps3. But it broke so i'm waiting for my dad to get cd-r so i can burn the img file I downloaded to a cd-r and play it on my ps1. When you crash the cars in gta and driver it makes you drift and turn which is annoying, but in TIJ, you don't turn when you hit a car unless you turn while hitting the car. :)

BUT your mates mini was not one from the italian job film, Peter Collinson (the producer) has said 100s of times NONE of the minis survived the making of the film and i am not 100% about this next bit but i think i read that the minis goin off the cliff at the end where not actually coopers and where just bodies and chassis as thay had already ran out for minis for the film. your mate mini was probably mini italian edition

@1993gandy I have seen plenty of them on the street. I even sawy the Blue mini from the film in Tooting Broadway but it was not the same number plate. It aslo had 6 lights on the front.

...i used to have this game but then it broke...i got a new copy (BRAND NEW) copy from some guy called NOKA. (this guy sold it for a penny) and cuz i had so much skills,i finished the game in 2 days.when i had my old copy,i had no TIJ skills and it took forever to finish.

The pinnacle of the entire game... I remember the first time I played this mission I was almost euphoric in thrill :P

I love completing the pizza game in free ride so I could do this chase using the remote controlled Mini.

That level was an excruciating experience for me. The part that pissed me the most was the sewage: some gates at the end were sealed and BAM. At least I got to contemplate and enjoy the scenary of a magnificent city. I have to get there one of these days.

Not wishing to stir anything up, but could you point out what was so rubbish about it? yes, the graphics are a bit dated, and it can be a bit fiddly, but it's the only TIJ game (other than the remake game) that exsists. Hence why I think there should be a current gen remake.

I used to love this game on the PS1, gave my mates and I months of fun. It took me ages to complete this level though, I think at least once I crashed into the gates at the very end of the sewer, finishing my car off as it had already been badly beaten...it was very frustrating. I never got past the following level. :(

I've had it on PC for ages now and I've barely bothered with it, maybe I'll fire it back up sometime soon and have another shot at completing the game...for old times sake. :)

The golden mini rings a bell, wasn't that a mission in free roam mode? Don't think I ever managed to complete that either though lol.

Still, a great game in it's day. I agree that it should be remade for the "current gen" consoles, as long as it's better than what TIJ: L.A Heist though.
