  • Greenpeace !

  • Love meg's nod of approval at the end :)

  • All he needs now is a cape and a Guy Fawkes mask... Sorted

  • Dude checout (it might get loud) it shows more of what hes like.

  • Jack's the real mad hatter.

  • I'd give Meg a White Stripe!

  • i loveee folk rock.. its awesome

  • @MrMikkiFunk

he plays an alternative tuning on purpose

  • God I wish I could've seen them live damn. My favorite band.

  • @clevelandsfinest92

you took the words right out of my mouth

  • awesome look for jack whit

  • Jack white is god!

  • @nyballer they should have got jack to play god in the 10 commandments

  • The top hat is so epic. XD

  • Lol as good as jack white is his guitar is always so out of tune how does he never manage to tune it.

  • hey check out my band, the jack white is one of our main influences. feedback would be killer

  • omg jack must been coolest player in the world!

  • Meg White has got to be the hottest drummer alive. Omfg

  • i love TWS but they didn't belong to this kind of huge festival. They were a theater band

  • meg is so sexy playin the drums

  • Comment removed

  • @TeleManMeSelf and who gives a fuck

  • I don't think anyone can beat the living shit out of a set of drums like Meg.

  • lmfao i found a better way to play power chords(for me), except its stressful on the pinky....i come on here and Jack White plays power chords exact same way lol, index finger and pinky.

  • @iHacksorzz I play the same way. I find it easier to to get a clean sound at any position, also, it helps when changing positions quickly and in rapid succession.

  • @iHacksorzz

i use the same way :)

  • @iHacksorzz who does NOT do that? i mainly play only with pinky and index finger.

  • @DarkExecuter333 lol i thought people mostly use the index, ring and pinky finger for the 6th, 5th and 4th string. Either way i learned to do it both ways, pinky and index involves only two strings so less stressful but doesnt sound as full as the three string nirvana type.

  • man, they're just 2 in the band and they have this very big sound

  • sound like the air near my fingers

  • "just to pour salt in your wounds"

    lol u mad.

  • don't get me wrong, i'm not detracting from jack white's talent. he's an incredible showman and songwriter. but guitarist? he's good but he's not the best, not even close

  • @teganyavo

Oh, and I'm aware of Tera Melos. That guy is fine and dandy, but tapping isn't that difficult, if you keep up practice. Me, I learned it, then decided I didn't give a shit, because it's not impressive to me. Also, in an interview I recently read, Nick Reinheart called Kurt Cobain a major influence in his guitar playing... and EVERYBODY who plays guitar knows how easy Kurt's stuff is (but we fucking love the guy). Bottom line, being more obscure doesn't make you better, jack-off.

  • @teganyavo how many other guitar players have the same sound as jack white? and how many have the same sound as everyone else? think about it. the sound of this band is so original it scares me.

  • @teganyavo ?!

  • @teganyavo Are you kidding? Jack white is up there with the greatest guitarist's ever. His talent with music theory incredible.

  • @teganyavo Dude, that's gotta be about the most ignorant comment I have ever seen. Jack is probably one of the greatest modern guitar player.

  • R.I.P The White Stripes. What a loss, but what a legacy.

  • Comment removed

  • @teganyavo

You've never seen him play Ball & Biscuit, and you've certainly never seen him play slide. There's a hell of a lot more to Jack White than power chords, and as a musician, I suggest you educate your fat ass before ridiculing one of the best guitarists this decade has to offer.

  • @mussman717word Lol dude, u mad? I'm sorry but jack white is not one of the best guitarists this decade has to offer. Educate yourself. Ball and Biscuit is a really cool song, sure, but it's not transcendent guitar work... almost every one of Dan Auerbach's licks is as funky as ball and biscuit. Since "best" is a matter of taste, I cant really pretend to satisfy that argument, but this guy was certainly more innovative in the 2000's vesCKnG2RMs .

  • @teganyavo

Dan Auerbach is fucking great, but Jack does a lot more than licks. I play a lot of Dan's stuff, and if Jack's not "transcendent," neither is Auerbach. Despite that, I really dig the Black Keys. Jack didn't need a back-up band to expand the sound either, unlike them... no offense, just to pour salt in your wounds.

  • I love this song. I've never seen them live, but I have to say that they either are not good at all or they just don't translate well live to youtube videos. Just doesn't sound good to me.

  • @bons222000 serious? i thought it sounded amazing.

  • Lets not look at the white stripes break up as a negative but a positive , lets look at it as a new beginning where we the fans rule, lets work together and produce our own white stripes songs or our own interpretations of songs, thats what jack and meg did for us, created there own interpretations of there own songs. They set a example for us of what you can do with it, now its our turn to make music.

THE WHITE STRIPES HAVE NOT DIED

  • R.I.P.

  • R.I.P. to this band. love to you both, dear Whites!

  • The song that caught my attention of Jack and Meg. Unreal talent this man has...

  • So, "teganyavo", what in the hell do you want?...I'll suggest a jukebox for ya', you putz!! Clearly, you have no idea about inspiration and being spontaneous. If you want performances that try to totally mimic the studio recording, I feel sorry for you. This guy is CREATIVE...what part of that don't you understand?

  • @Matthew55322 what do I want? I want him to hit the high notes when he sings this song, because the whole heart of the song is in the vocal melody IMO. this version of the vocal melody isn't more creative... it's sterilized. and it's not spontaneous or inspired, because he sings it hte same way on every live cut I can find.

  • v for vendetta :D jack white is a legend

  • I was there - and they really were the highlight not just of this festival, but of all the bands I've ever seen live. They are truly amazing.

  • they should have gotten Jack to play the mad hatter in alice in wonderland

  • @nyballer41 thats the smartest thing i've ever seen on youtube XD

  • @nyballer41 Yeah, but in a BETTER Alice in Wonderland movie.

  • @nyballer41

in general, i always thought there is a certain similarity between jack white and johnny depp..some johnny depp fans will might think im stone- cold crazy..but its mostly about the pale skin and the charisma...

  • @shotterslife Stone cold Crazy? Queen reference much?

  • @nyballer41 no the mad hatters brother the mad guitarist... cause he looks like depp

  • @nyballer41 they got him to play Georgia in cold mountan! so I guess he could have!

  • @nyballer41 No doubt. Even in their music videos, you can tell Jack would do a fantastic job as an actor.

  • @TheBboyUneek Jack is an actor, he plays in Cold Mountain. He played the mandolin at the end of the movie. His character was, Georgia.

  • @nyballer41 nooo... I mean jack is great but johnny ia much more confussed..

  • you guys are insane the vocals are really good in this performance

  • lol best guitarist of the new century my fat ass. jack white is an incredible, incredible songwriter-- like tom petty level--but he's just playing chords. why would you say this is best of 21'st century work? Nick Reinhart is the best guitarist of the new century.

also it makes me really, really sad that he bullshits the vocals so hard in this song ON EVERY VIDEO. the vocal melody in this song was absolutely brilliant and made the song, and it's not -that- hard to sing

  • @teganyavo totally agree about the vocals i know he wants to keep it raw and different as he must have been playing this everynight but this song has a gr8 vocal i would be a bit dissapointed if i heard these vocals when seeing em

  • @teganyavo dude who he hell is nick reinhart?...and thats part of his whole performance, his voice is like the whipped cream underneath the guitar which is the candycane topping...

  • @AnGelBaByy100 I gotta say I agree with ya... and also with teganyavo - yeah, he's just playing chords... but so was Kurt Cobain.... and you can't say Kurt wasn't a great musician. It's about the emotion and the intensity you're playing at.... any fool with a guitar can play power chords ;)

  • @teganyavo Just cause he is playing chords in one song makes him a bad guitarist? I dont understand...

  • @teganyavo vocals are good. you're lame. lol

  • THE HOLY GHOST!

  • Michael Fett known on Facebook as. @hippievana

  • ha he looks like satan with his whole style of facial hair, wearing all black, and a scarlet red guitatar its sorta badass in a way

  • @plonker00765 Jack White likes the challenge of having to multi-task and only having 2 players. One of the few things that makes Jack White so unique

  • the band wouldnt be the same without meg either, they are both good. They work well together to make good music. Being in a band aint about personal recognition and meg knows that.

  • It Might Get Loud showed how amazing is Jack White, Jimmy Page and The Adge, if you havent seen that movie, then go have a beer and watch it.

  • @jindars adge?

  • @yescharliesurfs ohhh...E

  • @spidermonkeysoup Doesn't matter that it's easy. It matters that he wrote it. It's a unique vibe to the song that is original and creative. Ever noticed how all metal tracks sound basically the same? Or how Carlos Santana just sounds like elevator music? Sure it's hard to play, but it's forgettable, and it's not moving. Who's better at guitar, you, or Hendrix?

  • I don't get why people pick apart whether someone may not play a pedal correctly on a drum. That's such bullsh1t and against the whole philosophy or rock in general. These guys are artists, either you appreciate their work as a whole or you back off. I think they're awesome. Meg rocks.

  • Jack knows everything, dont mess with this band, USA be proud of these your children.

  • Jack knows everything, dont mess with this band

  • Damn, Jack looks pimp here. That's the look I aspire for everyday.

  • Is Jack doing vocal, guitar and bass?

  • @dudehannes5 white stripes are only jack with his guitar and meg at the drums. no bass.

  • @101SpottedRats i beleive that jack might play some bass on some of the recorded trackes, but yes live its only the two of them and i dont think i have seen jack play the bass live.

  • @Theehtlam66 i believe he uses the digitech whammy pedal for the bass parts ,i never heard of him using a bass.

  • @RaulPaleri you can be right about that, dont know much about pedals and stuff like that :P

  • @Theehtlam66 he has once with 'my doorbell' on jools holland ;)

  • his voice reminds of frank black of the pixies

  • @almanoid13 i think she is showing jack what song they're gonna play next cuz she makes kind of a sign with her hands, why? the white stripes have no setlist

  • He is doing it naturally, you should go listen to some coldplay or nickelback if you want something bland.

  • Why does he sing like that?? Huge fan of the white stripes, but that would suck if he did that when I went to a show. It doesnt sound good so how could fan boys even defend that... why not just do it naturally.

  • i hate the way jacks sing here

  • it isnt matter hard it is or not to play a song on guitar, but how does it sounds.

jack has tallent to creat melodies which are fascinating, bringing back old rock'n'roll to life. that is why everybody loves jack white and he will be famous.

after releasing this album "get behind me satan" he even made his appearance look like he was satan himself. you gotta love jack

  • @lietuvizz0 now you say it he loos a bit like hellboy

  • what is meg doing at the end of the video with her hands??

  • his head looked a little like slash in the beginning darkness, because of his hair and the hat

  • @dude19288 But then you heard his playing and realized it couldnt be slash because this cat can actually play a riff!

  • People that say that modern music sucks are such ignorants. Stripes are pretty much as modern as most of current bands (I'm not mentioning little pop stars that came up from nowhere), and they're as good as it gets.

  • I thought Michael Jackson died!!!!! WTF. Just Kidding. Love This Song. I actually heard it while watching "It Might Get Loud". I did not know Jack was that awesome. Oh Yeah, Meg is kinda hot. She could play drums for me any day. I don't have a band though......

  • this is a good song

  • That suit is awesome, and the song too ì_ì

  • oh whites stripes, they blow my fucking mind!

  • It's Zoro

  • I don't really like Led Zeppelin..... (hint)

  • watch "it might get loud" pete townsend both a great guitarist and song writer, jack is good too!

  • Being able to shred doesn't make you good at making music. If you do nothing but try to shred you will eventually learn to, no matter how much musical creativity you have running trough your veins. It requires no musical talent whatsoever, just quick fingers and hitting random notes.

  • favorite song in the whole fucking world

  • He looks like Slash.

  • @BebeLush2 really? he looks like Johnny Depp with a top hat to me haha. but then again it's Jack White with a top hat. even better

  • and wow that just sounded really gay....what i mean is top hats kickass..and people who wear them kickass....fuck ok i just sounded gay...there really is no way to save myself from this one haha

  • I'm convinced any drummer hating on Meg is just jealous they can't play with Jack. They probly couldn't keep up with him :)

  • I'm convinced any drummer hating on Meg is just jealous they can't play with Jack. They probly couldn't keep up with him :)

  • @spidermonkeysoup hahahaha

  • yes....jack is good but hes not the best he might be in the top 15 or 10 but for sure not the best.......but still a good song

  • best guitarist in the world (dearkan shut up)

  • "if i could just hear your pretty voice..i dont think i need to see at all"

"every breath that is in your lungs is a tiny little gift to me"

"i didnt feel so bad till the sun went down..then i come home..no one to put my arms around"

    WOW..I <3 JACK!! I HOPE I SEE HIM LIVE AGAIN..AND AGAIN..AND AGAIN!!

  • i love the act that they put on instead of just playing there songs

  • sweet

    studio versions better though IMo

  • Stunning!! Another gem from White Stripes..hell, yes, Jack is probably the BEST guitarist right now.

  • @Dearkan being able to play fast doesnt make you better. It's creativity that counts ;D

  • @darbtheduck i completely agree with you... although i might add that Eric Johnson does both very well... Although Pink Floyd does another great job with creativity.

  • @Dearkan and i completely agree with you on that as well.

  • @darbtheduck good then we're all in agreement =P

  • oh no, jacks got the rapist look again. lol. OMG the white stripes are amazing!!!

  • Best guitarist of the new century

  • @Nintend0Guitarist Couldn't agree more. The best musician of the last 20 years in my oppinion of course

  • @Nintend0Guitarist Indeed!

  • @Nintend0Guitarist what about eddie van halen, slash, jimmy page and all the rest of them..? i think he is an awesome musician he makes more powerfull riffs than anyone else but as a guitarist the others are way ahead

  • god damn meg looks hot

  • awesome hair.

  • He looks like a pirate........ARRRRR

  • the white stripes r awesome!

  • Legendary.

  • there is a lot to be sed about Jacks appearance i think its Good Mad

  • he looks like an evil beck in this one

  • hahaha spot on

  • The beggining if this song sounds a little bit like their another track called Aluminium, phehehehe ;D

  • they re both talented & HOT.....I <3 his voice!!!

  • haha i have a bootleg of this concert

  • Everything they do is around Meg, so of course she is a big part of the white stripes. Jack says that the band was created around meg. Like it was said before, Jack started out a drummer.

  • @itsfreshson Dude it's only 2 persons... Jack and Meg form the band together, not all is about Meg!

  • @TheCreativeCreators itsfreshson is actually correct. The band was created around Meg. Jack said so in "It Might Get Loud".

  • Meg is purrrfect. anything else would be puttin' on the ritz. I'm so sick of pretentious rock drummers. As our colored cousins would say "keep it real"

  • lmao how white are the people that gave this asshole a thumbsup? just check his other comments for some lovely lovely racism, way to pick em guys.

  • oh fuck off... dont say that man.

im white and respect all races and religions so dont start with how all whites are racists. also, anybody can be racist.

    u steriotyping bastard.

  • Meg isn't a horrible drummer. Her sound is intentional and it is vital to the overall sound of the band. On top of everything else Jack is a drummer too if Meg sucked, she wouldn't be in the band.

  • @mculver7 Sorry but I have to tell you she's horrible. She' like a little kid who slugs the drums on the first time.

  • @BodiZoltan you obviously dont understand.

  • @AvadaKedavraoooo obviously there's nothing to be understood in her. There's nothing deeper meaning in the fact that someone is even a bigger amateur than the worst punks. this has nothing to do with meanings.

  • @BodiZoltan nah dude, you fail.

  • @BodiZoltan he really needs someone to keep him from not going insane...i think that his older, grounded, mature sister is just the right thing.

  • @McSFraNtic71 they were married for a few years, no relation

  • @mculver7 Actually she would still be in the band, Because it is impossible for Meg to suck.

  • @mculver7 well put sir

  • @cabhoc8 haha I'm not a Sir, but thank you.

  • @mculver7 aaahhh my bad ! sorry, well i agree lol

  • Comment removed

  • @mculver7 Exactly - thats the same reason his guitar is a no name peice of crap sold at Montgomery Ward back in the day. It's out of tune - he could care less what strings are on it - the body is made of hollow plastic. They make it work -

  • @mculver7

nah... she is only in the band because of her connection to Jack. Pretty much any drummer can play what she does but her stripped down drums do showcase Jack who pretty much IS the band. That doesn't make her essential to the band since a novice drummer could probably take her place and the band would be exactly the same. Jack is the only essential element to the band..

  • @Swingfinger Isn't anyone in any band based off their connections to one another? Also, if you ever notice how they play live, it's completely unpredictable. There's no setlist and Jack does pretty much whatever he feels. Meg has this uncanny ability to know what he's thinking and go with him instantly. Jack may be the creative force, the creative genius, but do not underestimate Meg's importance.

  • Jack is so fuckin amazing~

  • greatest musician of our time

  • the absolute culmination of human civilisation, there is nothing higher... he is perfection
