Even if the landing looked real you can still tell that it was faked because the camera followed the plane for a long time will it was flying sideways. The camera man would have had to run to keep up with the plane. But since the camera wasn't bouncing all over the place the person was standing still so the runway had to be in a circle. But since it is fake then all of it was computer animated so I don't know why I wasted my time explaining that.

I figured it was fake as soon as the people started talking. maybe use soundbites from a real airshow disaster next time of a more realistic spectators reaction. plus the end didn't look so much 3D as it did like a model airplane.

This is a fake - but it's a really good one. Top marks on the video. It uses a combination of a model and a real plane, both of which at some point had a wing removed. In theory, if a really good pilot were willing to seriously risk his life, and a wing could be shed on command, the physics of this landing do work - when on knife-edge, the tail and fuselage keep the plane in the air, and the last second flip is theoretically possible. But, error would equal death.

No, not sick....fake! Look at the movements of the aircraft as it touches down....those movements are not natural. For example, when the wheels touch the first time, the plane starts dipping forward..but a split second later when they touch down for the second time, the plane is perfectly horizontal....secondly....do you really think a plane can come to a stop that fast in an emergency situation????

I don't see anything fake about it at all. When the aircraft touched down it had very little forward vector as the pilot was holding it off the ground using rudder and maintaining his knife edge profile. After the airplane did touch down, the loss of the right wing meant that there was zero lift on the right side so the airplane was not flyable once it became horizontal to the earth. Great job of staying alive, I'd say and damn lucky too!

As someone who not only has seen Sean fly but has held a pole (have the pin to prove it) as he cut the ribbon and he waved at me as he passed by doing the maneuver you speak of and is "replicated" above, he'd be the first to tell you the bounce of the airplane is not realistic at all. I can't believe this argument continues. As an editor, you can see where the real plane conveniently leaves frame and the RC re-enters frame. The last shot IS REAL, but it's simply edited in. Let it go!
