Looks wonderful and I can't wait to stay there. I hope the cat is still there. Despite what others have said, one domestic cat causes less destruction than a domestic human living a so-called "green" lifestyle.
I appreciate your concern. My cat is not declawed, I never said she was. It is not natural for domestic cats to kill Hawaii's native and unique birds. Hawaii's birds did not evolve with cats and have few defenses against them. Ferrel and domestic cats outdoors is a very serious and huge environmental problem in Hawaii and many other states and countries.
:52 seconds into this film you show a cat. How can you have a cat there and be totally 'eco friendly'? No matter how much you feed a cat, it will go out and kill birds, lizards, frogs, etc. One cat can kill approx. 1000 creatures in one year. Please don't get me wrong, I love cats, I own one. But, I never let her outside because I know she will kill other animals every chance she would get, it is their nature because they are predators. Also she could get killed by a dog or hit by a car.
Keeping a cat indoors only is so cruel. I don't know how you can live with yourself. Yeah, they kill, such is the way of nature. They, in turn, get killed. You laying your almighty judging hand on that only impedes the ideals of 'organic' living. It means in tune with nature, not skewing nature. Furthermore, that cat has practically no life if it can't climb, scratch and breathe fresh air. The way your cat can climb, hunt, jump and survey its domain is amazing --- and you've taken it all away.
should all predatory creatures in the wild be driven to extinction, so they won't kill other animals? that kind of extremist thinking discredits environmentalism.
most people prefer the balanced approach of the conservationists.
i wonder why so many are between ages of 20-30?
