Hey SRV really looked up to you Doyle. Cool to read about you in the SRV biography called Caught In the Crossfire and then being able to check out your music in an mere instant. Trying to get a feel for the music scene you and SRV and others went through by the book and the music on the tube. This is way too cool. I can see maybe SRV tried to emulate your voice even! Fantastic! Denny Freeman is the greatest of the lesser known Texas blues guitarists. No wonder Bob Dylan has had the good taste to keep him in his touring band for the last 3 years. Denny plays rhythm guitar as well as lead (or better?) and his approach is holistic. Keep it up Denny, you rock the Texas blues twang bang!
