  • The original Movie-tone score does not survive. This score is by Christopher Caliendo., who is very hit or miss. His score to A LADY OF CHANCE is excellent,. However, his music for FOUR SONS while OK, pales in comparison to the original Erno-Rapee, Lew Pollack, Maurice Barron Movie-tone track. Reduces a great film to just a good one.

  • @goldenmoviepalace I agree about his FOUR SONS score, but his score for THE IRON HORSE is fantastic.

  • Nice. I like the music even more than the beautiful dolly-track. But is it the original score? Or can you tell waht it is, if it's not?

  • @benignoo

The music is really good. I dunno if its an original score or not, it was on my dvd.

  • One of my all-time favorite sequences in the history of cinema and further proof that Murnau was the original master of camera mobility.

  • truly beautiful scene but this isn't the original soundtrack, isn't it?
