This remote doesn't work at all for my TV, I have a Panasonic Viera and I tried to scan for 20 minutes with no success, then I tried the code list for this remote and the old remote several times without success.

Wow Wail Watching this Vid I realize I was Pressing MENU instead of "MUTE" and that is On Top of # "2" -_-...Well Now I Have My Tv and My Xbox Working How I Want To :D Failure Of The Day Goes To Me_

Oh and The Holding The MUTE and Then # "5", The When The Circle Turns Green Change The Channle Up or Down Work BEST For Me!

Finally! We have insignia from best buy and had to manually enter as scanning did nothing. We also kept pressing 5 buttons... Not the 5 button.... The way they worded it on the instructions didn't have to be so confusing.

how well does this work? my old remote i would have to point it right at the xbox is this just like the controller which does matter where you point it??

Mine works for both my tv and my xbox, dont know hwo but it automatically picked up my xbox when i turned the remote on

@bexster41 Mine was defective, took it back got a new one and it worked out of the box mate, try taking it back and getting another one.
