I really do not care if she had a good technique or if she should be considered as someone with a great voice at her age. If they wanted they could find a great singer with great voice and technique but they decided to go with Meryl Streep because no one can bring so much emotions to a song. @gibbseyo Uh, actually... she's a pretty amazing singer. What a singer needs is the ability to convey emotion, along with a great voice. She has both these things in spades- more so than many popular singers around now a days. I think she could have just as easily pursued a career in music. In fact she did for a while. She studied opera when she was young and was considered very talented.
