  • I was also wondering about prop/motor directions. You should have been able to feel the air flowing the wrong way from the motors :P

Please keep updating the comments of your videos with the solutions. I will be building almost this same quad as soon as the parts come in!

  • @dege13 On the props, it's easy if you understand what they're doing. The blades cut up, into the air, and in doing so, they direct the air downwards. By knowing which way they spin, you can see if they're cutting up, and directing the air downwards. So we got that figured out!

  • You got to match your esc to the motor

  • Your esc is not setup right "timing frequency"

  • search for the KKcopter manual online

go there make sure the props are on the right way and that each motor is spinning the proper direction not all the motors spin the same way on a quadcopter, depending on if its a + or x config this copter is a X use that when setting up via the manual

  • @Bunnykiller6969 Thanks for the comment. I did that, in spades. We're way beyond that, but of course, there are new problems. I hope you'll check out my newest videos, there's 2, actually, with a third to come today, hopefully. Getting the KK board dialed in has proven to be far more difficult that I imagined, but we are working on it, and we will get it! Thanks so much for your comment! I hope you'll subscribe to this site! Mark

  • @Bunnykiller6969 also all quads use R and non R blades, this quad uses GWS 9050R and GWS 9050 standard rotation and they must be put on the correct rotor aswell as spinning the correct way depending on your setup + or x flying mode. seeing your latter videos you figured that out figure il help somone else who comes here looking for answers

  • Switch 2 wires on each of your esc's. Your motors are running backwards in relation to the props.

  • @randall1959 Man! That's a radical idea! I'm going to have to ponder that one big time before I do it. I did just remove all of my props, and then switch them. We had LIFT! afterwards! Which is awesome! But not I need to look at the direction of each prop to make sure they're going the right way according to the pattern I'm using!

  • @MobileMediaProducts Sounds like you're on the right track now. You'll get it eventually. The quad looks good. It should fly equally as good.

  • @randall1959 Thanks, Randall, I am working on it. The hardest thing now is information overload, and knowing who's talking about what, and when was that knowledge relevant! Those are the issues, I think. I'm going to clean up all the wires. My quad looks like it's having a bad hair day now. I think we're close. Talked to Derek this evening. He's having some issues with his FF board. He found out he has to mate his TX to the FF board, which is not going well. Hope you can help him out!

  • @MobileMediaProducts I'm not familiar with FF boards.

  • @randall1959 It's a pretty cool board. It has some awesome stabilization software built into it. The holy grail of stabilization if Derek can get it to work. But it's not going to well.

  • It looks like you have ccw prop on North west, you should have cw ccw cw ccw nw ne se sw

Just make the motor spin in the right direction of nw cw ccw cw ccw make sure no force is pushing ur quad all motors should have down thrust, you might already know it but i dont know how this problem can happen 50% throttle should get hovering

  • @GeepeeEs Hi! That's very helpful! And I think you're right, but, the props are set up based on some great pictures I have, and, some info from the prop maker, no less! We are going to change them, however, as an experiment!

  • Only you Mark , the props are mounted wrong , move the 2 props from the right side and mount them to the left side and viceversa , STOP FLYING INDOORS !!! >8^( .

  • @TheFlyingRookie If there's a way to screw it up, I'M ON IT! I need a new name, THE MASTER OF DISASTER!!!!! But seriously, folks, according to the info I have, and the info I got from the prop-maker, everything's correct. This means that the information is in error. I am going to change it, as an experiment. I will "test" it in my bedroom upstairs. My goal is to get it an inch off the ground, NO MORE. I want to see if there's an oscillation so I can adjust the yaw pot.

  • Your props are mounted wrong....its almost pressed trough the ground. Switching prop 1and 2, 3 and 4......be careful...at 25% it wil lift.

  • @ariekraakjr Morning to you, Ariek! I actually know this, but I thought I'd put it out there because the company that sold me the props said, "The ones with the R in their label are the CCW props, and the ones without the R are the CW props!" Thank you for such a quick response! You've been incredibly helpful! It's great to interact with so many more experienced builders/flyers!
