  • Just my opinion, but I think this band had a lot of similarities with Deep Purple...

  • It looks like my pupils are dilated.

  • amazing band. Great song.

  • People say, about the like/dislike bar on you-tube, sometimes being like a light saber. On this particular vid, the bar look's more like a big fat green psychedelic joint that has just been sparked up.

  • this want me to live and be bigger

  • Tästä löytyy menoa parhaimmillaan !!

  • 懐かしいなぁ

  • Uriah Heep in concert: April 17 in the Mezz in Breda Holland. Be there!

    N°2 July Morning

la N° lady in black est bien mais mérite pas y a mieux que ça !!!

  • I fell in love with this band in late 1980 decade. In 88 I experienced my first 3-day long music fests, it was Nummirock in Finland. Main artist was to be Joan Jett & blackhearts. As I woke after first night in my tent and heard that J.J was cancelled and replaced with Uriah Heep, it was something that words cant describe.. I only can say that I was one very happy young man then.

  • was into uriah heep in the 70s, loved them then, but had so many other bands to love, now i re-discovered them i am smitten and can't stop playing their songs, going to see them in brighton, uk in december, looking forward to a bloody good night, hope to see them, at their best, just for me. luv to all xxxx

  • This is the first album that I ever owned. A gift....didn't even know who Uriah Heep was at the time. What a pleasant surprise.

  • My probation officer showed me this. Justice has been served.

  • Great music!

  • HEEP ... what can I say ... I was a fanatic! I still post many of their more obscure tunes for the kids to learn. Just messes them up when they realize what we rocked to all those decades ago !

  • i didn't see myself

  • @IornLump - Then open your eyes.

  • first heavy metal album in 1973 or thereabouts!

  • WE GOT MAGICIANS BIRTHDAY FOR DAD WHEN IT CAME OUT. hE LOVED THE MOODY BLUES, AND I JUST SORTA PLAYED THE HELL OUT OF THAT DANG ALBUM...STILL LOVE IT

  • I like it, Libertine.....

  • thanks for the memory. purple and heep were very similar, just a trick of fate that one stuck and the other didn't

  • they should play this in school for kids,to show them what rock n roll really is'''

  • Excellent! The very best kind of Heep track, pretty straight well played LOUD hard rock. That holds up better than the progressive stuff which disappeared up its total perspective vortex c 1976!

  • Play it again... louder!

  • God damn, just love this guitar solo, Mick Box has his own way of thrashing the fretboard!

  • legendaryyyy

  • aaaah yeaaaah^^

  • I'm on my laptop and I hate it so much. Sometimes accidently I tap and does some weird shit and the mouse was pointed on the dislike button. I tapped and luckily it didn't do anything, so I had to quickly click on like button just in case. Phew, that was close!

  • oops Heep!!!! LOL good stuff

  • Heap!!!!!!

  • wow fucking AWESOME!

  • Liked deep purple in the 70s but absolutely loved Heep, I just thought they had more originality, couldn't imagine purple making a track like Salisbury for instance

  • @philhable STUPID COMMENT, WHY COMPARE THIS 2 BANDS WHEN THEYRE COMPLETY DIFFERENT PIECE OF SHIT

  • @THESEXI3STMAN STUPID COMMENT EH, AT LEAST ITS FUCKING LEGIBLE, LEARN HOW TO CONSTRUCT A SENTENCE LIKE AN ADULT BEFORE YOU COMMENT, DICKHEAD.

  • THIS BAND IS PURE SEX! AT LEAST THEIR 70'S SONGS ARE!

  • Yeah Thats some good stuff!

  • I thought it was cool when they played this on Life on Mars.

  • Totally F******Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 2 BANDS THAT ARE VERY ALIKE..( URIAH HEEP) and ( DEEP PURPLE )

WOW REALLY THE SAME STYLE..LOVE TO SEE THEM BOTH AT THE SAME CONCERT..

  • @alexisnihon1 I did see them in concert together. 1973 I think. Hard to tell who was better. They were both incredible

  • @alexisnihon1 dont u see heep deep its written in the stars that they must be similar

  • @alexisnihon1

Saw them both at the same show in '94 in Durban South Africa. Unfortunately Heep's truckload of equipment broke down so they were late. However when they did hit the stage it was like a wall of sound and energy. John Lawton was filling in for Bernie who had throat problems. Even though heep had to cut their set in half they still stole the show from Pete Turtle sorry Deep Purple.

  • Perfect !!! How can someone dislike this? Are they crazy?

  • @WhenTheHeavensBleed Most likely. That is like disliking a Nazareth song. This is a class track, from a class band!!! Truly epic, and ahead of its time!!!

  • Amikor a Uriah Heep-et hallgatom , visszatérnek a fiatalkorom emlékei , ujra motoron ülök , száguldunk a barátaimmal , fülünkben David Byron csodálatos hangjával !

  • my eyes do not like these pictures(they hurt haha) :) but my ears love the song!

  • 0:57 rocks :)

  • 7 people don't know what real music is!

  • @UriahHeepisbest your right

  • I've got this album in the basement somewhere. I think it was responsible for the ringing in my ears...or was that Atomic Rooster

  • úžasná

  • If our civilization burns, and some future archaeologist comes looking and finds this recording only, they would conclude that we had reached a golden age of matchless rock fury populated only with power chords of unrelenting sound and thunder.

  • @SequentiallyCompact

    FUCKIN' A!

  • I think my retina just detached again. Damn! Just when it was healing.

  • 酔うわ

  • Awesome stuff.

    Still sounds GREAT!!!!!!

  • What's scary is that Uriah Heep has released more than two dozen albums. What's even scarier is that I have almost all of them....

  • @MikeBlitzMag You're lucky. I too had them all, but lost them in a divorce case to MY HUSBAND! bastard.

  • Simply one of my top ten songs ever. And that's a lot to say

Byron was just on a league of his own. Greatly missed.

  • from a truely great album

  • This album had a polished aluminum cover that--when you were stoned on acid and listening to this song--would show your reflection, which was pretty cool (sometimes).

  • I heard this song since 197.....something because my brothers did, and in this time I was really young I like it,

  • it`s sound like a Jon Lord from Deep Purple joined to this song))))

    Great keyboards!!! And Geat vocal!

  • I'm so stoned...

  • Grew up on these - many thanks to my big brothers! and you, for sharing ;-)

  • In the 70's the UH was our one of favourite supergroup with fantastic rock music!!

    Hard rock forever!

  • Good Band^^

    最高です。。

  • A great exsample of 70s heavy metal

  • More band photos, less fake trip stuff.

  • When I "Look at Myself" ...heh heh

I feel privileged to have seen this amazing band when at their peak, their live performances blew me away.

  • Great heavy rock band !

  • What heaven sounds like. At least how the heaven I believe in sounds:)

  • 4 The LORD works out everything for his own ends— even the wicked for a day of disaster.

  • This is THE BEST album from the 70's. Every song is fantastic. I picked up this album in college cause I liked the cover. Little did I know that Heep would become mine and alot of my friends favorite group. I was in a band in the 70's and we played almost every song off this album. The Hammond was crankin'. They were the first band I saw in concert and I must have seen the ultimate line-up, Byron, Box, Kerslake, Thain, Hensley a dozen times.

  • supremo!

  • I saw these guys twice way back in the 70's when I was a long haired hippie type. I saw them in London at wonderland where the bass guitarist flipped out on some crazy powerful acid. It was small venue as weren't massive yet and you were right there to see everything. Wild night. I also saw them in Buffalo on a bill with ZZ Top & Earth Wind & Fire where they did the finale. They were huge then. Crazy, crazy line together but it worked. Great night but had to go back over the border after!! WILD

  • Any chance of getting a recording of Fires of Hell? Can't find one! Thanks :)

  • Excellent

    I bang my head

  • .۝.•*´❤☼❤`*•.۝.

    A beautiful video thx.

  • My dad bought an CD on vacation with Uriah Heep, and played this really loud xD Was his favorite on it, and he told me that the LP´s cover was a mirror.. Can´t suprise anyone :D.. Anyways, awesome song :D

  • We still have the Live L.P.of Heep in Birmingham, and raised our Son with their Hits. Now he prefers rap... where did we go wrong??? He Needs A Serious Intervention!! ~ Uriah Heep Forever~

  • @reneesluse Hopefully he will grow out of the rap stage, and get back to real music!

  • @reneesluse Hey still have the LP too and got the CD ...Uriah Heep bloody awesome man what the hell is rap anyway THIS is music, went to Uriah Heep and Deep Purple concert this year 2010 old head bangers reunion was awesome man..Martin

  • Don't know about my eyesight but I know my teeth are aching.....

  • Feliz dia do ROCK.

  • It's called Mystical Rock. Uriah Heep were the founding fathers of this genre. I first saw them at the Onondaga War Memorial Auditorium in Syracuse, NY on August 31, 1973 when I was 14. I've been to about 50 plus rock concerts in my life and have seen many of the legends of rock but nobody is as musically entertaining on stage as these guys were! God truly blessed each of them with the gift of music. Thanks for the music guys. Rest in peace David Byron and Gary Thain.

  • I shook Box's hand and had a beer with him. Just saying......cooooool!

  • i love to use drugs and listen to this band.

  • @vegbreaker I intend to do that very thing tonight.

  • Doesn't sound as the original. Correct me if I'm wrong.

  • @eldorado61guy It is the original title track from the album. I know it better than my wife's voice. This is the track that made me a Heep fan. Well, one of them. It is mind-boggling how great music was back in the 70's. This just makes me smile happily all the time my heart is beating a little faster.

This is how metal was, 40 years ago. It hasn't improved much.

  • Great song, thanks, wore this album out in early eighties------real music--

  • I found this band in some book about "Devil's Music." The name stuck out because of Charles Dickens's David Copperfield. I am glad I looked them up.

  • Fine if you like Deep purple I'm not a fan myself.

  • Buhuuu; R.I.P. David !!! One of the best singers ever ! :´(

  • dudes this is great ive got my bong my weed my root beers my cigarretes and of course uriah heep what else do i need? ...... well a sweet babe dah!!

  • The only band I could ever handle with fucking organ in it besides Pink Floyd, they just had a knack for incorporating the organ as a bass end instrument instead of the usual which was definitely cool.Organ and accordian go hand in hand as suck instrument's;the mini moog sure helped music a lot.

  • @blitzspeer , Try Deep Purple Mark 2. Jon Lord has a tremendous hand and sound. Actually 'Smoke on the Water' starts with the Hammond organ and then Ritchie kicks in.

  • @blitzspeer

What about The Doors? Manzarek is a freaking genious. The organ WAS the bass in that band.

  • Awesome! One of the best Heep songs. Also love Easy Livin', The Wizard, Traveller In Time, Wise Man, Come Back To Me, The River, Woman Of The Night, Rainbow Demon, Choices, Sunrise......and so many others. Uriah Heep and Deep Purple and Free and Wishbone Ash and Black Sabbath......the best era.

  • I bought the album back when it was fresh off the presses. I can't believe I was ever that young. Uriah Heep were gods (to me), back in the day. Surprising the way the music holds up. I guess they were as good as I thought they were. :-)

  • @rherbert57 Me too. Darn straight!!!!!!!

  • I remember buying this album, did not take long before my friends ears picked up on it , there was some good Christmas acid around and they went hand in hand.Looking at this makes me almost have a flashback.I love this!
