why doesnt the mother open her mouth when she speaks? its quite weird. the son was very respectfull and presented himself well. the ex boyfriend seems like a giant bully who wants everything his way. what a moron. probably tried to inject himself as the man of the house, and the son wasnt having it.

Normally I agree with JJ, but this one is clearly off the mark. The kid presented himself well. Even when JJ was calling him a liar and the old jerk was talking crap, his responses were calm and collected. Granted, he shouldn't have followed the jerk out, but I have no doubt he fully intended on just saying "while you're buying milk, pick up an extra crow bar to pry your head out of your ar$e", but JJ assumed since her kids would act out, this young kid would too. It's disappointing really.

@daywrenn Nothing was off the mark here. He damaged the car and he had to pay for it. His "self-defense" defense (lol) was a big crock of shit. You can't defend yourself against a 5000+ lb vehicle with a bicycle. They demonstrated poor self-control on that day and in the courtroom. Clearly she caught wind of that and all respect for the litigants was gone at that point. You're mixing sarcasm in with a serious statement and it didn't work out for you.

@daywrenn That's why she's the judge. She doesn't allow people to get away with coonery. The idiot kid didn't need to follow him outside for ANY REASON. To even say something to him would be the wrong thing. That "young kid" shouldn't have been arguing with that guy in the middle of the night. Any smart person, including people at THAT AGE, would know to leave instead of sticking around, knowing nothing good can come of it. She was dead on, but the plaintiff was just as annoying.
