I must say that your videos are very useful for studies. They are very pedagogcial and the english is in a level which I, as a Swede, don't have problems with understaning.
A great advantage in comparison to a real life lecture, is that you can rewind if you whant to here something again. And I have never had a lecturer whit such great drawing skills.
Thank you for your everthing you do to help educate each of us. Who needs those useless expensive text books when we have you capibilities and expertise. Your teach abilities is extrodinary. Easy to understand and learn from. Thank you again.
MR KHAN, thank you very much for all your videos. now, i have a new found encouragement to pursue my goal again which is nursing/ radiology. YOU ARE A GENIUS! i wish u wouldve been my teacher for every subject.
Did anyone else hear him fart around about 6:40? Very good videos though, if only I knew about you before hand then you could've helped me so much...my exam is tomorrow though.
The right lunge has 3 secondary bronchi that split from the right primary bronchi. The left lunge only has 2 secondary bronchi that split from the left primary bronchi.
Lets give him some hair, ummm maybe some sideburns....ANYWAY, a moustache........I could give him a tongue, and maybe I will, yeah lets give him a tongue
I've got a major issue about the pulmonary system now.
I just discovered that the cut I was taught to make, in order to get air access for a patient who's not breathing and whose throat is swollen, is not the same as another doctor makes.
The doctor who showed us how to make a cut for cricothyrotomy makes his incision vertically, the other makes HIS horizontally.
I'm telling you. Most doctors can't agree on anything.
Thank you so much for your effort and your time. If possible, can you put a video on how the body removes urea and excess ions and how the water content is maintained with the help of red blood cells?
@jermaine2082 He sort of does this with his secondary active transport video since it is about the nephron physiology. But if you need Guyton's medical physiology explains all that in detail if can read that high level of a text.
So excited to see this vid. Human physiology is so interesting. I hope Sal's gonna cover the whole system - though it's a huge and complex topic, but so was math or physics =)
Great video! I remember most of this from HS, but a year ago I had a pulmonary embolism, which is, as you know, blood clots that block the pulmonary arteries, thus perventing the exchange of oxygen
I had 100's, if not 1000's of clots, and I will be on blood thinners for the remander of my life.
It felt as if I could not breathe, but could get enough air in. Light headed and dizzy, lost weight
U r the reason why I am still good at bio. 20 minutes watching your video is more effective than 2 months in my bio class.

I do have a question:
What allows the O2 to be exchanged and not other gases such as nitrogen? As you know the air we breathe is 78% nitrogen and 21% oxygen.
Does it have something to do with the size of the molecules?
Thanks
messiahjonz 2 years ago 3
We breathe out nitrogen too lol
furyofnasa 2 years ago
Gee, thanks, but that does nothing to answer my question.
No doubt that nitrogen is expelled.
The question was concerning the exchange of gases.
