Non anchored and pinned racking = disaster waiting to happen. My racking is all bolted to the floor and all beams are pinned. Impossible to fall like this in my warehouse and I have run into an upright twice and it bent but did not collapse. I bet the warehouse in the video was not compliant with local codes.

@haggis240 Yes they are. It is also a bitch having to remove all the shit and find a new location to put it in. Also transferring it in the computer system can sometimes be a task. With the system we use, items can be hard committed to that location and you can't transfer it. You have to fill out a sheet saying where it is and not to put anything at the current location. In other words, folks, don't hit the racking at work....your location replenishment guy, like me, will be very pissed off!!!!

I also work with forklifts. I have seen a few people do the same thing as seen here where I work. The racking is also overstacked and a bunch of heavy stuff on top and light stuff on bottom. Nothing like this happens though. The uprights of the rack just bends.

Its real,that's why there is a maximum load weight for racking and that's why they need to be bolted to the concrete.That weight must have been exceeded and the rack must not have been bolted to the ground. Knocking that corner caused the the vertical support to move, too much weight cause the rivets on the horizontal beams to snap. The inertia from the initial fall had a chain reaction cause the entire section to collapse. This warehouse is a mess does not surprise me that they were safety haz.

i have been working with forklifts and racking for the last 25 years and there is no way the racking would come down like that not even if he was driving at full speed.Racking is built to withstand a lot of punishment,not to collapse at the slightest tip from a slow moving forklift.FAKE!
