@lexaeus88 It's just humor. That's all. I was curious about what exactly MSC was so I researched and a song came out. The video was an after thought. I still eat stuff with it in the ingredients but if you think too hard it's not really appetizing.
Interesting song. I like country. I'm not sure I understand your point about chickens. Are you against eating them, I guess? Or do you mean that it is just gross to dismember these beautiful birds? I'm with ya there.
@pouletqueen17 Really wasn't making a point. I still will eat things with MSC in them. I was just curious after reading labels with that ingredient for years so I googled. Just made for a goofy song....it was fun to work on.

I HATE people that criticise vegetarian-vegan processed food (i.e. soy burger or meat free sausages) because it's "fake" and then eat processed meat products and think they eat "naturally", or "real meat"!
@darthrigel i hate them both, because vegetarian soy products are expensive and one meal could feed family in africa for like week. After all, vegetarian food is more harmful to nature than meatproducts.
@Jop3lius Ok processed food is generally bad for the environment. but how could vegan processed food be MORE harmful than meat one? Basically a processed food is a bunch of unhealty chemical shit all mixed together. The difference is that (in meat one) to all this shit you have to add meat from factory farms, that are responsible of the 60% of pollution on earth and other shit. The vegan one are STILL bad for the environment and health but at least meat is replaced with harmful soy beans. No?
@darthrigel making process of this so called meat is less harmfull, since the chemicals goes to the meat, not around the nature. Its harmful for the people that eat it.
Process i was talking about vegetarian food isnt just soybeans, it contains all food from tomato to salad. Money used on producing vegan food spend on poor people would make alot difference. If people werent bitching about how food is produced, and eat what they can, because some people cant eat anything, they cant choose.
@Jop3lius sorry but I don't get why meat production is less harmful just because "the chems go into the meat and not around the nature" (manure lagoons?).
are not governments that produces food, but private food corporations. they exist to produce food. so why should they not doing that and give poor people their money?
are lazyness and gluttony that make people eat shit (btw a veg burger has the same or lower price that a real one), not poorness: I am poor as shit but I eat whatever I want.
wow never herd of a typo your not worth the ten minutes of my life you wasted oh and maybe you should learn from your own advice oh one last thing before i ignor you for the rest of you life.... swearing doesnt make you big it just makes you a very lonely person
@porn1978 well i guess if you new wht fodder means then you won't be asking but as i put in my last comment i guess you shiuld learn it and just to teach you seal fodder means seal FOOD oh im 13 and im teaching you s.a.d
@porn1978 the people who don't watch porno are people who aren't in their moms basement 24/7 jacking off because they cant go outside to meet real woman
@porn1978 ... its just fucking pointless even talking to you. its like speaking to a fucking 2 year old whos on the ultimate suger high. you even fucking said on the comment i replyed to that you watched porn. dumbass.
@porn1978 your opinion, also how the fuck does the MUSIC he listens to make ANY DIFFERENCE AT ALL TO WHAT HE REALLY IS, thats like saying if you listen to rap that makes you a black person go fuck off and quit being an asshole.
@TheFlyingTimbus DUDE this shit is OLD!!!...and your argument is borderline RACIST!!!..come with a more sufficient metaphor on the basis of your thesis, if not then STFUP you LONELY bastard!
@porn1978 yes because you know me. you know im lonely. obviously i have more friends than you. your name is PORN. you probably sit down in a basement jacking off to woman. also im not being racist. that was an example. my point is people like different music, not everybody is some death metal rock head. basicly what your saying is because hes listing to this song that hes a hillbilly. the fuck is wrong with that anyway?
@TheFlyingTimbus umm yeah thats the name on my birth certificate..you DUMBASS!!!...actually i share an apartment with your mother!. Blowjobs and home cooked meals, mmmm!!!. Go drink a budweiser!
@porn1978 oh my a "DUR IM A DUMBASS HUR HUR HUR UR MUM DUUUUUUUUUR" comeback. SOOOOOOOOOO offensive! i hate trolls like you that havent even gotten through preschool and dont even know how to not be a asshole. how about you just fuck off from the video if you dont like it? or better yet how about you get blocked?
@porn1978 ok well i hope this works. im going to try and get you blocked. lets see if i can pull it off with my intellect and not being like you. you are a person who says "IF I DONT LIKE IT NOBODY DOES". well news flash dipshit other people like different things now shutup.
@porn1978 meaning all those subs are from you because you have no friends. and thats just sad that your going to use all your accounts to rage on here about the song and video.
@porn1978 are you even reading what im saying? i said that all those subs were from your accounts because you have no friends. i would give you your own intestines to eat if anything. go get a life.
@TheFlyingTimbus I have to stoop to a lower lever of intelligence to read what you say. I havent read such jibberish since elementary school. I have tons of friends, but i like playing with your mom the most! hahaha!!. Its funny that you mentioned "intestines" because i'm inside your moms!.
@porn1978 amazing. you think the your mom joke is actually offensive and funny. well its not, not anymore at least. its been used too many times. the funny thing is you cant come up with your own comeback so you use mine. thats just sad.
aww thats perfect timing..when he sang about potted meat.. i had just finished a little can of that crap with triscuits cause their wasn't alot of eat in the damn house
@chrisdj614 Thanks for the compliment (i think). And hey, theres nothing wrong with watching unlimited internet porno while massaging the roosters kneck!
here's an interesting thing to try. take a piece of freshly deep fried chicken, a thigh or leg will work best.....take a bite out of it (tastes good, right?) then smell right where you took that bite. (touch it with the tip of your nose and then smell)
try it and get back to me, tell me what you think.
@electrovoxus Yes....wrote and recorded by myself. I was just reading a label and became curious and it went from there. Been writing and recording for a long time now.
Atleast I don't have to do it. I can barely make Ramen noodle soup. Hooray for machinery! Bring on the gas station meat snacks! Beef hearts are tasty too.
@beaelliott I have not eaten proccessed meat for over 20 years. I eat a wide array of animals, animal by products (cheese, milk etc) plants, funghi, molluscs etc etc etc. I really enjoy all the food I kill, catch, pick and cook I am proud to be an omnivore and this way all my teeth get a piece of the action. I ust be honest here and say that if a vegetarian diet is done right with a vast array of different foods then it is usually a better lifestyle choice. I dont eat much meat but when i do hmmmmmm
@jfmn24 "A little" meat/eggs/dairy probably isn't going to kill any human - I agree with that... But my point is - (And it's the reason I eschew animal products) is that it does require the captivity, confinement and/or killing of an innocent. I was brought up to be as kind as I can whenever I can... And certainly I don't "need" to kill anyone to eat well... Just seems like the right thing to do... To leave the defenseless alone. ;)
@beaelliott you are absolutley right about the farming of animals as a food source. Hunting is better in the sense that the animals are free and blissfully unaware of thier death until ''bang'' (well I hope so anyway)
I wonder is it possible to get protien without anmy hunting/farming? thinking about it I cannot see any reason why not. nuts are a good source of protein as are beans and certain pulses wich can all be obtained all year round. continued...
@jfmn24 - Sure... Of course! Absolutely there are good sources of protein that are not animal based! Me and my family including two healthy dogs are living proof of that!
@beaelliott I am trying to think of a good reason that animals should be eaten. The simple fact is this. Animal consumption whether in wild hunting form or mass produced battery animals is not a compusory action to ensure survival or even full physical health. I know that certain protein types and especially certain amino acids are only contained in red meats but really the benefits are often negated by the negatives of red meat. Eating animals is pleasure only.(rainforest aside) merry crimbo
@jfmn24 "Eating animals is pleasure only" --- Totally correct. There is no "need" to do so - whatsoever! And actually, after almost 10 years without "meat" I find the "pleasure" in a vast array of alternative foods. My taste buds have not been "sacrificed" one iota! :)
@beaelliott I just realised why I need to eat meat. Creatine. The synthesised version is available( i used to take it) but its not as good and is not regulated so can have anything added to it. Creatine is needed to be really strong. If I need to rescue my woman from a trio of drunken meat heads I can. If my house is burning and I need to put my 2 children on my shoulder and carry them down a ladder I can. There is no way a vegetarian like your good self can be truly strong without creatine;)
@jfmn24 ... Please Google or search "vegan athletes" on youtube. There is no solid evidence that creatine supplements are any more damaging than the bad fats found in meats. Furthermore, my husband does not eat flesh and I'm very certain he could carry you over his shoulder and down a ladder if need be... He is as strong, if not stronger than any meat eating counterpart. Finally... So you would bully a chicken, pig or cow to their unnecessary death just in case your woman would be bullied?
@beaelliott Hi . The reason there is no evidence about synthesised creatine is because it has only been on the mass market for 17 years so its impossible to do enough research. I know it can cause dehydration and thus kidney stones but that is a simple solution. It can also cause bloating and diaoreah as I have suffered from that before. The main problem with it is that it is not regulated by the FDA and so companies can literally put anything they like into thier products......
@beaelliott I do not doubt you husbands strength or that non meat eaters can be strong. His genetics will play a part as do anyones. The simple fact is this If your husband ate meats like, salmon, tuna, herring liver wich are highly nutritious and contain very little bad fats he would be even stronger. scientific study puts the strength gains at 15-20% which I think you will agree is quite an improvement. admitedly this improvement can be gained from the powders but rather him than me.
@beaelliott So to summarise. The same athlete that consumes no creatine will lose his muscle stores faster and will have less in his muscles to fascilitate explosive and endurance movements. If he/she then take more creatine the musacles can operate in a more efficient/powerfull way. There is much evidence to support this and in fact my own expereince tells me that it helps with my lifting. This issue aside the killing of animals is washed aside....
@beaelliott ... by the awfull damage, starvation and suffering of third world countries which can all be avoided if we all stop owning 3 cars and wasting water, fuel, time, money and each others lives. I know my lifestyle is more respectfull of my fellow humans than most. My Animal consumption (mostly fish) is prehaps immoral to a point howver I allways ensure the lives I take have lived free and wild. happy new year by the way
@jfmn24 "Immoral to a point"... So why do it? :/ Really - is it that much better to take a good life when it's not necessary? Seems if I ate animals, I'd rather release one from a miserable life... Either way - none of it is kind when it's not necessary. Happy New Year to you too...
@beaelliott youd rather realease one from amiserable life.... your saying supporting the farming of animals is better than eating wild animals... please dont start being flipant this is a good exchange so far....
@jfmn24 I say there is no valid excuse to kill when it's not necessary. There's nothing in "meat" which cannot be substituted in a plant based diet. Killing a happy (free) life --- Or a miserable enslaved life --- Both are terribly wrong when there are other ways to live.
@beaelliott I took offence to your comment about bullying an animal!!! I kill quickly and I allways feel a sense of loss and respect for the life ive taken. can you say that all you own and wear and eat has not seen a poor indavidual exploited somewhere in the world? no?! well self reflection needed then. and fyi I grow most of my own food I kill the rest and what I cant grow or kill I get from my freinds. I exploit no one. The truth is the most important thing.
@jfmn24 You may feel a sense of loss --- But not enough to act on it. It seems hollow to care but not to be motivated to change. IMHO. No, I'm not perfect however I try as hard as I can with the obvious: killing innocent life for food, clothing or entertainment are no brainers.I agree that truth is the most important thing...And if the truth is that we all love our lives- The cow, pig, dog, chicken, cat, fish, bear, man, frog, lion etc. If we don't NEED to kill for survival - Than why do it?
@beaelliott I know ive gone on abit now but I just did a little research into vegan and raw vegan wieght training/bodybuilding and all people who formally ate meat and fish etc that changed to a vegan or raw vegan diet suffered a great loss in strength and stamina. I have to question the fact that as hunter gathereers we chose to eat meat when ither foods were less taxing to collect and certainly kept longer. Our bodies have not evolved since those times so WE MUST NEED MEAt
@jfmn24 99% of all the animals people eat today resemble nothing of what we ate a thousand/hundred years ago. The antibiotic use in "livestock" today are shocking: almost 80% of pharmacuticals go to "meat" production. And on strength... Really is a (possible)10% reduction in strength really worth an innocent life? I mean... If someone can only bench press 90 pounds instead of 100 pounds --- Does that difference REALLY justify causing the death of a living being? Where are the priorities?
@beaelliott those points are very good. that extra 10% does not sound so worthwhile when you look at it like that. My sense of loss comes from working with animals. I trained in wildlife management in 1998 and left the industry because of the cruelty I found amongst the farming community. it really is harsh and brutal the modern farming enterprise. To manage deer for instance their aree times when you must kill older derr to allow for enough territory for future........
@beaelliott deer to grow and range into... The effects of not killing some deer is increased risk of dangerous diseases and a lack of nutrition for the rest of the herd. They dont have wolves after them anymore. so in that instance would you still think it cruel to eat that animal? if so then imagine a world where we stop farming... the sheer volume of wild animals with a lack of predatory species to cull population would result in widespread species exstinction and if not a major biological....
@jfmn24 Actually I'm sure you know we actually breed deer - Search "deer farms". We grow crops especially for baiting them. This triggers the female deer biology into thinking there's enough food - So when they mate they will give birth to two fawns instead of one (or none). Finally, you do know that man kills most "predators" to protect livestock right? No livestock... No killing predators... Predators control deer. A good plan.
@beaelliott change in the habitat of many wild birds, rodents etc. We both agree modern farming is barbaric and a huge crime against animals. what I am asking is if we were to suddenly stop eating animals how would those animls regulate thier numbers? obviously they would have some predators in some areas but in human dense areas they could live where predators could not. let me know your solution, I think culling an animal and not eating it is a far bigger crime than eating it.
@jfmn24 As I said before, we should first stop artificially breeding them. Cows, pigs and chickens are now made to be baby (product) making machines. In nature they would never "breed" as agricultural interests force them to do. Figure this... Even turkeys have been manipulated to the point where they can't mate --- The males have their semen extracted and females are impregnated. Left alone without man's intervention most "farm" animals would cease to be --- Hence no need to "cull".
@beaelliott do you know what I have just realised....... you live in a country that is so fucked up!!!. Here in the UK the only deer farms are for viewing only ( a bit like a safari) the deer are protected and certainly not eaten or shot for sport. There have been no natural predators here for hundreds of years ( allthough i have seen an eagle take a very young foal.) so really my country is fine it seems its your country that is systematicly raping its animal population.
@jfmn24 - Right you are! Everything is a "commodity" here. Corporations have more "rights" than all other sentient beings. Money, wealth, power is "gOd" over "good"... We've got "stuff", and are "stuffed" - We just don't have "values". Sad isn't it?
@beaelliott you seem to have values. I cant see you being the only one... so... why not start something. I started a campain in 1999 to help turn an area of wasteland into a nature reserve for birds. ( i now go fishing there and eat the fish i catch naughty me) It took me 3 years and I got help from some people who were council members, police, vicars etc. It was only a small piece of land (8 acres) What I am saying is its possible to make changes I know the USA is abigger place...
@jfmn24 A sanctuary would be wonderful to start... But because I don't view birds or fishes as better or worse than each other --- One not deserving life more than the other... I'll pass on planning to catch/eat any of them. Better to let all life live. ;)
@beaelliott ... but you start small and believe me its like a snowball. if you have conviction ( i think you do from our chats) and can picture what you want to achieve.. you can make change. I am not saying you could turn the world vegan but you try by getting the people to ask for changes in your food production. An English tv chef came over to do a shaow not that long ago and he tried to change the school meals in schools but to be honest he is a wishy washy oaf with no real guts.
@jfmn24 I agree - Changes are happening all the time. Every time I look there's a new vegan restaurant opening in my town or state... I've also met lots of people who have become vegetarian or vegan in the last few years. Plus there's so many new and delicious plant based options in stores now days... Gets easier all the time to live compassionately - It's just a matter of time.
@kyrajls what are you on about? I am British and a chef. I know and have worked with some of the top chefs in Europe and believe me jamie oliver is the oppisite of a good chef. he is good at cooking meals at home hence his shows. if you want a good chef try michele roux as a comparison.
@jfmn24 I didn't say he was a chef, I said that he wasn't a wishy washy oaf. I think shows in which it is easy at home meals are the best ones, bc do you really think everyday people at home can cook some ocmplicated or special meal a chef would cook? No, people at home need to learn to make things at home that are not too complicated. Therefore, he is not a 'wishy washy oaf', but, no, he is not a 'chef' either -- doesn't mean he isn't good at what he does.
@lsillery most of the ingredients Jamie uses are hard to come by in many areas of the UK. he does not use ingredients that are in season and he tends to use foods that you can only usually buy from either the big supermarkets or specialist shops/continental markets. Gary Rhdoes and delia Smith are famous for educating people on what and when to cook at home with ease and with seasonal ingredients to create wonderfull food thats cost effective and well balalnced while being exciting too.
@lsillery So I agrree with you on the shopws that help average joe cook at home... Jamie does not fill that role he caters for the yuppie middle class and those with more money than sense. What happened to supporting local produce and local business? Besides eating in seasonis very important to your healsth as the body expects certain nutrition at certain times of the year. We are discussing an entirely different matter here.
@lsillery Jamie tried to change American eating habits and educate thier masses on nutrition. He cried like a baby and failed in his task. I do not doubt his motives or his passion but to implement changes that big in a country that set in its ways you need a man or woman with more conviction, more gumption and alot more confidence in the real acheivable goal. I could pick 5 tv chefs that woud do a better job and hundreds more normal chefs too. thats it. jamie your a wet lettuce
@TheImitator100 - What the heck is "normal" meat? No... I do not eat flesh or things derived from other living, sentient beings - If that was the question you're asking.
Dude. Most of the people around the world eat the pieces of the chicken people in the US would consider "the nasty bits"-- the stuff that goes into mechanically separated chicken.
I think it's absolutely wasteful to throw that stuff out, especially considering how many starving people there are around the world!!!!
I wasn't making a statement with this at all. Just a silly song. People can take from it what they wish. If someone wants to eat the pieces/ parts...that's their business. But no matter how you look at it...chicken paste isn't an appetizing thought...LOL.
Perhaps it might help to look up the meaning of snob and/or snobbish in the dictionary. It's a comedy tune...lighten up. I eat stuff with MSC in it often.
@averagehomosapien True ppl around the world eat the heart, eyeballs, etc... But mechanically seperated chicken is bad in the fact that they have to soak it in ammonia because of the bacteria on it. Then cause it tastes nasty, they artificialy re-flavor it. Then after that, they have to dye it because its a sickening looking pink color.
@averagehomosapien thats what their tastebuds are callobrated to like, but not ours, we like pizza, and not rectal folds of cow asses, or paste of chicken tendons, and liver.
All this mechanically recovered meat will do you no harm. At the end of the day its just meat and fat in such small pieces that its in the form of a paste. If you put fillet steak through the same processes it will be in a similar state. You should be more worried about all those artificial additives in your food.
I became veggie years ago cos I always said I wasnt sure what went into food. At least now cos that programme last night I knew I was right all along.
I hope your licence is up to date !!! U'r I.P relates to an un-licencede address! We are going to deploy some heavies to come round and extort a viewing fee from you....
I think you can grow chicken in a tin....oh wait, they are called battery cages which are about the same size a tin so same thing really. Have a look around, I think Tesco has it on offer.....
That's not true, I wont listen to idiots like you and I hope all the kiddies of America dont either!
Everybody knows Charbroiled Steak and Kentucky Fried Hotwings grow on trees! Foods like that picked during the great season of harvest on family owned meat tree farms. Dont be stupid and scare the little ones, after all, they might not want to eat hamburgers at old Macdonalds anymore! We all know hambers are grown and harvested from earthen soil just like french fries come from a potato patch.

beaelliott 1 year ago 26
@beaelliott I have not eaten proccessed meat for over 20 years. I eat a wide array of animals, animal by products (cheese, milk etc) plants, funghi, molluscs etc etc etc. I really enjoy all the food I kill, catch, pick and cook I am proud to be an omnivore and this way all my teeth get a piece of the action. I ust be honest here and say that if a vegetarian diet is done right with a vast array of different foods then it is usually a better lifestyle choice. I dont eat much meat but when i do hmmmmmm
jfmn24 1 year ago
@jfmn24 "A little" meat/eggs/dairy probably isn't going to kill any human - I agree with that... But my point is - (And it's the reason I eschew animal products) is that it does require the captivity, confinement and/or killing of an innocent. I was brought up to be as kind as I can whenever I can... And certainly I don't "need" to kill anyone to eat well... Just seems like the right thing to do... To leave the defenseless alone. ;)
beaelliott 1 year ago
@beaelliott you are absolutley right about the farming of animals as a food source. Hunting is better in the sense that the animals are free and blissfully unaware of thier death until ''bang'' (well I hope so anyway)
I wonder is it possible to get protien without anmy hunting/farming? thinking about it I cannot see any reason why not. nuts are a good source of protein as are beans and certain pulses wich can all be obtained all year round. continued...
jfmn24 1 year ago
@jfmn24 - Sure... Of course! Absolutely there are good sources of protein that are not animal based! Me and my family including two healthy dogs are living proof of that!
beaelliott 1 year ago
@beaelliott I am trying to think of a good reason that animals should be eaten. The simple fact is this. Animal consumption whether in wild hunting form or mass produced battery animals is not a compusory action to ensure survival or even full physical health. I know that certain protein types and especially certain amino acids are only contained in red meats but really the benefits are often negated by the negatives of red meat. Eating animals is pleasure only.(rainforest aside) merry crimbo
jfmn24 1 year ago
@jfmn24 "Eating animals is pleasure only" --- Totally correct. There is no "need" to do so - whatsoever! And actually, after almost 10 years without "meat" I find the "pleasure" in a vast array of alternative foods. My taste buds have not been "sacrificed" one iota! :)
beaelliott 1 year ago
@beaelliott I just realised why I need to eat meat. Creatine. The synthesised version is available( i used to take it) but its not as good and is not regulated so can have anything added to it. Creatine is needed to be really strong. If I need to rescue my woman from a trio of drunken meat heads I can. If my house is burning and I need to put my 2 children on my shoulder and carry them down a ladder I can. There is no way a vegetarian like your good self can be truly strong without creatine;)
jfmn24 1 year ago
Finally... So you would bully a chicken, pig or cow to their unnecessary death just in case your woman would be bullied?
beaelliott 1 year ago
@beaelliott Hi . The reason there is no evidence about synthesised creatine is because it has only been on the mass market for 17 years so its impossible to do enough research. I know it can cause dehydration and thus kidney stones but that is a simple solution. It can also cause bloating and diaoreah as I have suffered from that before. The main problem with it is that it is not regulated by the FDA and so companies can literally put anything they like into thier products......
jfmn24 1 year ago
@beaelliott I do not doubt you husbands strength or that non meat eaters can be strong. His genetics will play a part as do anyones. The simple fact is this If your husband ate meats like, salmon, tuna, herring liver wich are highly nutritious and contain very little bad fats he would be even stronger. scientific study puts the strength gains at 15-20% which I think you will agree is quite an improvement. admitedly this improvement can be gained from the powders but rather him than me.
jfmn24 1 year ago
@beaelliott So to summarise. The same athlete that consumes no creatine will lose his muscle stores faster and will have less in his muscles to fascilitate explosive and endurance movements. If he/she then take more creatine the musacles can operate in a more efficient/powerfull way. There is much evidence to support this and in fact my own expereince tells me that it helps with my lifting. This issue aside the killing of animals is washed aside....
jfmn24 1 year ago
@beaelliott ... by the awfull damage, starvation and suffering of third world countries which can all be avoided if we all stop owning 3 cars and wasting water, fuel, time, money and each others lives. I know my lifestyle is more respectfull of my fellow humans than most. My Animal consumption (mostly fish) is prehaps immoral to a point howver I allways ensure the lives I take have lived free and wild. happy new year by the way
jfmn24 1 year ago
@jfmn24 "Immoral to a point"... So why do it? :/ Really - is it that much better to take a good life when it's not necessary? Seems if I ate animals, I'd rather release one from a miserable life... Either way - none of it is kind when it's not necessary. Happy New Year to you too...
beaelliott 1 year ago
@beaelliott youd rather realease one from amiserable life.... your saying supporting the farming of animals is better than eating wild animals... please dont start being flipant this is a good exchange so far....
jfmn24 1 year ago
@jfmn24 I say there is no valid excuse to kill when it's not necessary. There's nothing in "meat" which cannot be substituted in a plant based diet. Killing a happy (free) life --- Or a miserable enslaved life --- Both are terribly wrong when there are other ways to live.
beaelliott 1 year ago
@beaelliott I took offence to your comment about bullying an animal!!! I kill quickly and I allways feel a sense of loss and respect for the life ive taken. can you say that all you own and wear and eat has not seen a poor indavidual exploited somewhere in the world? no?! well self reflection needed then. and fyi I grow most of my own food I kill the rest and what I cant grow or kill I get from my freinds. I exploit no one. The truth is the most important thing.
jfmn24 1 year ago
@jfmn24 You may feel a sense of loss --- But not enough to act on it. It seems hollow to care but not to be motivated to change. IMHO. No, I'm not perfect however I try as hard as I can with the obvious: killing innocent life for food, clothing or entertainment are no brainers.I agree that truth is the most important thing...And if the truth is that we all love our lives- The cow, pig, dog, chicken, cat, fish, bear, man, frog, lion etc. If we don't NEED to kill for survival - Than why do it?
beaelliott 1 year ago
@beaelliott I know ive gone on abit now but I just did a little research into vegan and raw vegan wieght training/bodybuilding and all people who formally ate meat and fish etc that changed to a vegan or raw vegan diet suffered a great loss in strength and stamina. I have to question the fact that as hunter gathereers we chose to eat meat when ither foods were less taxing to collect and certainly kept longer. Our bodies have not evolved since those times so WE MUST NEED MEAt
jfmn24 1 year ago
@jfmn24 99% of all the animals people eat today resemble nothing of what we ate a thousand/hundred years ago. The antibiotic use in "livestock" today are shocking: almost 80% of pharmacuticals go to "meat" production. And on strength... Really is a (possible)10% reduction in strength really worth an innocent life? I mean... If someone can only bench press 90 pounds instead of 100 pounds --- Does that difference REALLY justify causing the death of a living being? Where are the priorities?
beaelliott 1 year ago
@beaelliott those points are very good. that extra 10% does not sound so worthwhile when you look at it like that. My sense of loss comes from working with animals. I trained in wildlife management in 1998 and left the industry because of the cruelty I found amongst the farming community. it really is harsh and brutal the modern farming enterprise. To manage deer for instance their aree times when you must kill older derr to allow for enough territory for future........
jfmn24 1 year ago
@beaelliott deer to grow and range into... The effects of not killing some deer is increased risk of dangerous diseases and a lack of nutrition for the rest of the herd. They dont have wolves after them anymore. so in that instance would you still think it cruel to eat that animal? if so then imagine a world where we stop farming... the sheer volume of wild animals with a lack of predatory species to cull population would result in widespread species exstinction and if not a major biological....
jfmn24 1 year ago
@jfmn24 Actually I'm sure you know we actually breed deer - Search "deer farms". We grow crops especially for baiting them. This triggers the female deer biology into thinking there's enough food - So when they mate they will give birth to two fawns instead of one (or none). Finally, you do know that man kills most "predators" to protect livestock right? No livestock... No killing predators... Predators control deer. A good plan.
beaelliott 1 year ago
@beaelliott change in the habitat of many wild birds, rodents etc. We both agree modern farming is barbaric and a huge crime against animals. what I am asking is if we were to suddenly stop eating animals how would those animls regulate thier numbers? obviously they would have some predators in some areas but in human dense areas they could live where predators could not. let me know your solution, I think culling an animal and not eating it is a far bigger crime than eating it.
jfmn24 1 year ago
@jfmn24 As I said before, we should first stop artificially breeding them. Cows, pigs and chickens are now made to be baby (product) making machines. In nature they would never "breed" as agricultural interests force them to do. Figure this... Even turkeys have been manipulated to the point where they can't mate --- The males have their semen extracted and females are impregnated. Left alone without man's intervention most "farm" animals would cease to be --- Hence no need to "cull".
beaelliott 1 year ago
@beaelliott do you know what I have just realised....... you live in a country that is so fucked up!!!. Here in the UK the only deer farms are for viewing only ( a bit like a safari) the deer are protected and certainly not eaten or shot for sport. There have been no natural predators here for hundreds of years ( allthough i have seen an eagle take a very young foal.) so really my country is fine it seems its your country that is systematicly raping its animal population.
jfmn24 1 year ago
@beaelliott really that is messed up. You must be American.
jfmn24 1 year ago
@jfmn24 - Right you are! Everything is a "commodity" here. Corporations have more "rights" than all other sentient beings. Money, wealth, power is "gOd" over "good"... We've got "stuff", and are "stuffed" - We just don't have "values". Sad isn't it?
beaelliott 1 year ago
@beaelliott you seem to have values. I cant see you being the only one... so... why not start something. I started a campain in 1999 to help turn an area of wasteland into a nature reserve for birds. ( i now go fishing there and eat the fish i catch naughty me) It took me 3 years and I got help from some people who were council members, police, vicars etc. It was only a small piece of land (8 acres) What I am saying is its possible to make changes I know the USA is abigger place...
jfmn24 1 year ago
@jfmn24 A sanctuary would be wonderful to start... But because I don't view birds or fishes as better or worse than each other --- One not deserving life more than the other... I'll pass on planning to catch/eat any of them. Better to let all life live. ;)
beaelliott 1 year ago
@beaelliott ... but you start small and believe me its like a snowball. if you have conviction ( i think you do from our chats) and can picture what you want to achieve.. you can make change. I am not saying you could turn the world vegan but you try by getting the people to ask for changes in your food production. An English tv chef came over to do a shaow not that long ago and he tried to change the school meals in schools but to be honest he is a wishy washy oaf with no real guts.
jfmn24 1 year ago
@jfmn24 I agree - Changes are happening all the time. Every time I look there's a new vegan restaurant opening in my town or state... I've also met lots of people who have become vegetarian or vegan in the last few years. Plus there's so many new and delicious plant based options in stores now days... Gets easier all the time to live compassionately - It's just a matter of time.

kyrajls 1 year ago
@kyrajls what are you on about? I am British and a chef. I know and have worked with some of the top chefs in Europe and believe me jamie oliver is the oppisite of a good chef. he is good at cooking meals at home hence his shows. if you want a good chef try michele roux as a comparison.
jfmn24 1 year ago
@jfmn24 I didn't say he was a chef, I said that he wasn't a wishy washy oaf. I think shows in which it is easy at home meals are the best ones, bc do you really think everyday people at home can cook some ocmplicated or special meal a chef would cook? No, people at home need to learn to make things at home that are not too complicated. Therefore, he is not a 'wishy washy oaf', but, no, he is not a 'chef' either -- doesn't mean he isn't good at what he does.
lsillery 1 year ago
@lsillery most of the ingredients Jamie uses are hard to come by in many areas of the UK. he does not use ingredients that are in season and he tends to use foods that you can only usually buy from either the big supermarkets or specialist shops/continental markets. Gary Rhdoes and delia Smith are famous for educating people on what and when to cook at home with ease and with seasonal ingredients to create wonderfull food thats cost effective and well balalnced while being exciting too.
jfmn24 1 year ago
@lsillery So I agrree with you on the shopws that help average joe cook at home... Jamie does not fill that role he caters for the yuppie middle class and those with more money than sense. What happened to supporting local produce and local business? Besides eating in seasonis very important to your healsth as the body expects certain nutrition at certain times of the year. We are discussing an entirely different matter here.
jfmn24 1 year ago
@lsillery Jamie tried to change American eating habits and educate thier masses on nutrition. He cried like a baby and failed in his task. I do not doubt his motives or his passion but to implement changes that big in a country that set in its ways you need a man or woman with more conviction, more gumption and alot more confidence in the real acheivable goal. I could pick 5 tv chefs that woud do a better job and hundreds more normal chefs too. thats it. jamie your a wet lettuce

Dude. Most of the people around the world eat the pieces of the chicken people in the US would consider "the nasty bits"-- the stuff that goes into mechanically separated chicken.
I think it's absolutely wasteful to throw that stuff out, especially considering how many starving people there are around the world!!!!
averagehomosapien 1 year ago
I wasn't making a statement with this at all. Just a silly song. People can take from it what they wish. If someone wants to eat the pieces/ parts...that's their business. But no matter how you look at it...chicken paste isn't an appetizing thought...LOL.

@averagehomosapien True ppl around the world eat the heart, eyeballs, etc... But mechanically seperated chicken is bad in the fact that they have to soak it in ammonia because of the bacteria on it. Then cause it tastes nasty, they artificialy re-flavor it. Then after that, they have to dye it because its a sickening looking pink color.
larsloveskirk 1 year ago
@averagehomosapien thats what their tastebuds are callobrated to like, but not ours, we like pizza, and not rectal folds of cow asses, or paste of chicken tendons, and liver.
jadegirl3331 1 year ago
All this mechanically recovered meat will do you no harm. At the end of the day its just meat and fat in such small pieces that its in the form of a paste. If you put fillet steak through the same processes it will be in a similar state. You should be more worried about all those artificial additives in your food.
