I wish I knew the calendar they use in Great Brittain ! Since when 17th of july to 11th of november are "hundred days" ? It's nearly five months !
For those who wish to know more on this battle, have a look at this video here on YT : "The Second Battle of the Marne: The Turning Point of 1918". Very interesting stuff.

AN IDEAL STRONGEST FORM OF DEMOCRACY INCLUDED (See Subchapter 3.1.2.1, Chapter 3, of Part One.).
This the best series ever made about the Great War. First broadcast in 1964 I made sure I got the whole series when it came out on DVD. Sir Michael Redgrave's voice is just about perfect giving the impression that he was a witness to these tragic events. No time wasted giving an anti-war message - just hard facts.
@DigbyCaballero I agree, I love the even-handed and factual approach in this series. I think too many people today understand only that the war was tragic; but they don't seek to understand the details in history which explain what happened and why and when and where and how; this series seems to cover that excellently, and I'm so glad it got posted or I would have never found it
@belisariusorb I really like this documentary as well. I think it is one of the most beautifully made classic documentaries and for certain the most comprehensive WW1 documentaries available. Sir Redgrave also provided a splendid voice-over.
Thanks for uploading these mengutimur :)

@DigbyCaballero Yes this is great, it reminds me of "The World at War" series, lovely.
RIP to those who died during the great war.

@Mu51ch3r3 The World At War was based on this series. But this series is probably better.
