I think this may have been a little fake and Kendrick knew it was a prank at "3:32" and "3:45" it looks like he is starting to crack a smile like he knew what was going on the whole time. Myers may be a bit immature, but aren't most ball players? I play baseball and softball, and I thought it was requirement to be a little bit "off". Anyway, who wants maturity on the diamond and in the clubhouse - that's boring. Mike Schmidt was reserved and low-key, and the entire city loathed him - a hall-of-famer, no less. That was cold at the end when everyone was laughing at the expense of Kendrick. Leslie Gudel said Kendrick had absolutely no idea until Myers told him that he was punked. She said it was just a nervous reaction by Kendrick, he was convinced it was really going down. Myers says who'd we get, does he throw hard, hows his sinker?

Those who don't see the humor in this need to get a life. It was a great practical joke. One of the best I've seen in a while. I love pulling practical jokes, but have never involved so many people. Wonderfully done. The most I've had involved in one if four fellow conspirators. Great Job.

Wow - it is way too easy to pick you apart.
1st) You accused me of replying to "every message" and then responded twice yourself to the SAME message. 2) You brought up the 10,000 losses...hey Einstein, the Phils are one of MLB's original teams. The oldest teams are going to get the most wins...and losses. 3) Team to beat in 2008 - Mets? I thought that was the case in 2007! In order to be "the team", you can't have the biggest regular season choke-job in history under your belt!

I think this may have been a little fake and Kendrick knew it was a prank at "3:32" and "3:45" it looks like he is starting to crack a smile like he knew what was going on the whole time. Even after Myers told him that he got punked, there wasn't much of a response from Kendrick. Awesome idea, just wish it could have been pulled out the entire time.

it was a great prank, but i feel bad for kyle kendrick. i mean, he should've looked into who kobayashi was and why his agent didn't say anything, but he was told that he was pranked in front of the media? i mean c'mon, the media was laughing at him and he must've felt extremely embarrassed. if it was just his team in on it during the thing, then it would've been fine, but bringing the media in was just cruel.

It wasn't as elaborate or drawn out, but the Dodgers did something like this to John Wetteland years ago. Told him he had been traded to Montreal. This was a couple of years before he really became an Expo. I think it was This Week In Baseball that staged the trick.
And the prank was funny, but you know what? I still think Brett Myers is a jerk.

Myers may be a bit immature, but aren't most ball players? I play baseball and softball, and I thought it was requirement to be a little bit "off". Anyway, who wants maturity on the diamond and in the clubhouse - that's boring. Mike Schmidt was reserved and low-key, and the entire city loathed him - a hall-of-famer, no less. In Philadelphia, they like characters. Besides, if he produces this season, no one will be complaining.
