  • rip daves mother

    rip = rot in piss

  • the one dislike is his mom's spirit >__<

  • @Lovegirl818 Exactly.. and there has to be areason why she did that stuff! I WANT TO KNOW WHAT IT IS.

  • @JessicaAkAAdiz Well Adiz, in class Mr. Schoon said that the mother just hated him and wish he were dead remember?

  • @pdiddy200 Yeah but there has to be a reason why, why didnt she just kill him, why did she do all that stuff to him???

  • @JessicaAkAAdiz See if you think about it, abusing someone SO much that the almost die, then let them live and repeat it is worse than killing him. Killing him would let him win. Cause she wouldn't have no one to torture and he would be freed of his misery.

  • @pdiddy200 But why didnt she torture all of themm? Why just him, Pabloo?

  • @JessicaAkAAdiz As I said, only torturing him would embarres him.

  • the motherfocking bytch has a freakishly problem. and she is so stupid. she should be the one suffering in pain for causing so many pain and starvation to her own son that she calles "It"like always. -________________________________- stupid bitch needs 2 burn in hell.

  • PPL WHO HAVE NOT READ MORE OF HIS BOOKS DON'T GET WHAT DAVES ALL ABOUT. HE'S ABOUT 4GIVENESS, OVERCOMMING ADVERSITY, GETTING RID OF THE GARBAGE IN UR LIFE & CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND 'HELP YOURSELF' & 'TEEN HELP YOURSELF'. [spiritquest82]

  • @SweetSugerpuffs i forget, how many kids did she have, and what'd she do to richard?

  • @haleighrachel I think she had 3 or 4 or 2 ? can't remember . But when David left , His youngest brother Richard was the new "It" and the mother started abusing him like she abused David.

  • i read the book to and i cried it was sad :(

  • why would someone dislike this video (unless their a abusive psychopath themselves)

  • @InsanitationFreak take a look at documentary on ytube "Spare The Rod: Politics of Child Abuse"

  • way to go dave most people in your position would end up in drugs with serious problems but you have shined through all this and brought awareness to this issue no one should ever have to suffer through that and i admire the courage and tenacity it takes to come forward and say no more to speak out about the horrors being inflicted on the countless innocent children in this world they are a gift from god and there is no return policy so people should think long and hard before they have one

  • i'm glad i've never had to go through this :(

  • God Bless you Dave! xoxox

  • she died in 1992

  • to david i use to think i had it bad till some one told ur story than is when i relized it could have been so much worse there where days that me and my sister didnt eat my mother sold her body to do the best she could she had her downs where all she wanted to was drugs she told us it was because she didnt want to feel the pain it was hard on her she tried living on the streets not knowing whats to come the next day i do want to say im sorry and i WOULD HAVE HELP YOU THE BEST I COULD THANK U

  • Wow theres only 1 dislike and alot of people didnt like this video when read the comments

  • He came to our school about 2 years ago, I was in 6th grade, it was a life changing expierence.

  • this book is sad!

  • is there a movie about him???

  • He is definitely an inspiration! Gives hope! Unfortunately a person I know actually used his book for a reference on what to do to kids! So very sad! The doctor who initially assessed the kids said it was the worst case in the 12 years she had been working with severely abused children.

  • i read it one day, same here couldn't put it down. its hard to believe that happens.

  • When Did His Mother Diee ?

  • if i was in his place i woud have killed her

  • I Love Thats Theres No Dilikes You Cant Dislike These Books Yes They Are Very Sad But It Makes You Want To Keep Reading (:

  • In my class we had to give a book report on a book we thought other's would enjoy, and my friend (not saying name), had told this book... She said of his mother's "Games," and things she did to him....I was crying only 2 minutes into her report thinking, "who would do such a thing?" After she was done a ran to our library and got all 3 of his books....They are the best books anyone could read, and it makes you stop 2 think of children your age who has this happen to them.....He's an inspiration

  • I'm in the progress of reading 'A Man Named Dave' right now! Once I start reading it I just can't put it down until someone physically pulls it out of my hands! I've gone through about three full boxes of tissues and sometimes actually cried on the train and bus home from school...A truely heart-touching trilogy.

You are my true hero Dave Pelzer

  • One of the things i wonder about is how the pets in his mothers house reacted to the abuse! I mean I wonder if they were freaked out or anything. I wonder what was going through thier minds when the abuse was happening?

  • @VermilionSteed Uh, I don't know the exact date and haven't read the books for awhile. But I remember from reading the last one that he died when Dave was a adult and stuff. I forgot how though -.- I think it was from being sick

  • @RockinAndrea his mother died in 1992 but dont know what day

  • @RockinAndrea prob from all tht beer. And she was sick before. How could someone neglect their own child, and the child not go tell everone at skewl to arrest his mother. I dnt get it.

  • @VermilionSteed Spring '92 he saw she still had her Christmas decorations on show. In California ( ?! ) He realised there was something in her giving up. Think she died that year or the next.

  • I met this man in Kearney, Nebraska at a book signing. He is truly phenomenal and is living proof, we are not defined by others but instead we make our own way and define who we are by our own actions. Thank God for Dave! ♥

  • I have read all Dave's books within days. I just could not put them down. I just could not understand how a mother to be so cruel to a child. I cried so much reading the first few pages of his first book. It was the saddest book I have ever read. He truly is a hero.

  • its sickenening the evil in his mom

  • i love that book its amazing that he found strength to survive !!!!!!

  • when i read the book, i felt his pain.. and i am glad my parents treat me like i should be treated. I cried at many many times. A child called "IT" is VERY popular at my school. When i was reading it at school.. i started crying... it was happy at the begining.... but then his whole life turned upside down...

A Child Called It: 4 times

    The Lost Boy: 2 times

    A Man Named Dave:1 time

The Privilage Of Youth: 1 time

And they were all great books his mother was horrible person it's a shame she died so peacefully in her sleep wow i hope shes burning in hell right now. And if anyones messed up its his brothers they want nothing to do with Dave they feel he ruined the "Family" by telling the "Family Secret" and Dave still wants to see them again. He is an amazing person and a hero in my eyes.

  • dude all his books r sad D:

  • A Child Called It is soooo sad

  • Omg I cried. I am A guy... very sad

  • Wow this made me so sad, but its so good. Speechless

  • @117spartanman it never says anything bout it in his book, a child called it & the lost boy

  • sad story :(

  • I accidentaly read one of his books and im glad I did. after reading one of his books i felt like crying, its reall tragic how he wasnt loved by his mother. (Dave is my hero i wish the best for him)

  • I think every teenager should read this book. I read this book over and over again. It's like my 8th time and each time has a more powerful impact that the other. Dave is truly an inspiration. He makes me thankful for everything my mother has given me. For the clothes on my back, the food in my stomach and the roof over my head. In fact everytime I read this book I'm inspired to go out and do something. Its sad but it's encouraging and powerful all in the same. I thank dave for inspiring a 15...

  • year old girl, that had everything he didn't. You are amazing. ;)

  • the most sad book i've ever read.. =( but i couldnt put it down

  • @m4blackford2 The saddest AND the best book I've read

  • @anthw00t i know it's a really good book.

  • @m4blackford2 what is the book called?

  • @MzBrittany99 A Child Called It

  • His case was so not the worst abuse case in Calfornia

  • dave should be an inspiration to everyone.....and his mother should of been hung

  • @bigbudduh420 yes his mother should of been hung she a stupid *** that needed everthing that the boy got poor boy

  • @bigbudduh420 no, they should have killed her in torture. they should of burned her flesh, starved her and stab her..

  • @Zizumia3 Even better!!

  • @bigbudduh420 He forgave his mother...he didn't tell his story so everybody could hate his mom.

  • I encourage every teen (I don't think any kid should read this though, until they are old enough and mature enough to really understand it) who thinks they have it sooo bad because they get grounded or no tv, etc for doing wrong to pick up this book and realize how good you have it. I've read the whole set and as a parent myself I am thoroughly disgusted at this woman. People like her should be forcibly sterilized.

  • @sporkqueenrhaya :i read it wen i was a kid and it made me look at a world in a whole different way....i was 10.....which was his age and......it changed evry thing i thought about and how i thought as about it

  • I hve read all of his books, he inspires me to be a social worker and I will always continue to be inspired by you. !

  • OMG i saw this guy last night he was doing a 1 hour presentation on "motivating young adults" it was GREAT. So thankful for him to come to our small city of Ridgecrest, CA. his presentation was great, it was straight to the point and almost everything he pointed out was true. I also got to shake his hand :)

  • I love the child called "It" book I finished the first book now im in the middle o the second one The Lost Boy I love this book!!!! To tell you the truth I never loved a book like i did his books I will read the next book , too Never read and finished a book before im not lying never read other books but this book is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • I read all of his books and he is indeed my hero. thank you for posting this..well done!!!

  • ive met him before he is a really nice guy and he said that he gave up on hating his mother long ago

  • God I can't imagine a person in that could even make up such a horrible story. MY heart goes out to him completely. I know sometimes I say things to my mom but until I read this book I never knew how good I have it. I am so blessed to have a mother who loves me. May God have mercy on Dave's mother's soul.

  • Gotta agree...this book made me see things differently. I am so thankful for the smallest of things...great book.

  • omg so so so so soooooooooooo sad ;-;

    i'm reading that book rite nao and its terrible. His mom forcing him onto the stove, feeding him a diaper... its terrible ;-;

  • wats even sadder is when in the 3rd book, his mom SPOILER dies and she never ever said I love u to him at all before she died

  • Even though im a 14 year old male this made me feel so sad and I cryed for 2 hours while reading this book... I was truly touched to know how bad some have it and the worst of it all is we dont even know it happens... Read this book... it will change your life for ever...especially if your in 9th grade like me

  • I cried all the way through reading this book, i'm just so glad he was saved and didn't have to go through it anymore. It just makes you think how strong humans can be, going through all that and coming out alive, i mean having to drink ammonia AND being stabbed? He is one incredible, strong human being. God bless.

  • i'm reading that book again, I LOVE IT!!

  • That guy was extremly brave to make it through his childhood alive.

  • God Bless you Dave. I hope he's found some peace at last.

  • wat is this song called?

  • Its called "I'm Through" by Vic Chestnut. [:

  • @EvSevyGirl i'm through

  • When you read A Brother's Journey by Richard Pelzer, he explains why he also abused David and why he always set him up. It was his mother who made him and he was very afraid of her so he used his brother as a shield to keep his mom away. She made him be her little Nazi as David described him in his first book.

  • His mother was such a sociopath. She was capable of being nice but she could be mean if she wanted to, she abused one child but was nice to her four boys. She may have been mentally ill but when a child gets abused, it's hard to have sympathy for them. She should have been locked in a mental hospital. Richard, aka Russell claims in his book "A teenager's Journey" she was a schizophrenic. Oh yeah after David was taken, she went after Richard and abused him.

  • actually, i pity the whole famiy. his mother was mentally sick, so we cannot blame her. she used to be soooooo kind. yes, dave is a very strong boy, and a man.

  • Dave is the most mentally tough people i have ever hear of, laying on a gas stove while your back melts, there is no way i would make it through one second of that, Dave you are many peoples' favorite hero. by far

  • i love reading his book i also hope that the BITCH would burn in hell for what she did to him

  • A child called it is a great but yet horrible book. I have read 4 books by Dave.

  • if i was dave i would have killed myself or run away

  • Maybe you would be stronger if you put youself in his shoes.

  • i hope the bitch burns in hell

  • I have the same book and I used up 2 1/2 boxes of tissues from crying so much.

  • dave is one of the people that give us hope and amazment! i love his inspiring books and his love! his is also one of my cherished heros!

  • is there a picture of his mom or somthing someone can give me?

  • hey ive read the first two books they are great and ive looked into his story alot and found his brother also wrote a book its also very good its called A BROTHERS JOURNEY BY RICHARD PELZER

he actually talks about how he watched when his mother "accidentally" stabs dave

  • the book was AWESOME!!!!!

    You're the SUPERMAN dave..

you inspire a lot of people..

every text in the book made my imagination GO WANDER

every beatings of your mother made my tears fall

    i salute you Mr. Pelzer

    you're totally cool

  • dis is my favrioute book im still reading the lost boy im nearly finished just for reading this book i would like to yake the job of social services and try my hardest to rescue children that went threw pain and sufering like what dave did

God bless you and see god DID have a plan for you.

  • best book i ever reed.... but its alot of pain .... i think its so unfair for a little boy like him!

  • this book made me cry so hard how can anyone do this to a child .

  • THE BITCH is obviously burning in hell right now-i feel bad 4 dave:(

  • just finished reading the book getting the lost boy sad story!

  • sad

    i read this book

    its SOOO SAD

  • his other brother richard also got abused. but as severe as dave

  • i wonder why his mom did that.......

  • Because she was a stinking alkie bitch that's why

  • she was mentally sick, and a drunk

  • it says in the book because she was crazy and lone all the time. she was not fit to raise those kids

  • Yeah my mum had the book "My Story" by Dave Pelzer which contained all 3 books in 1. Such a sad & tragic childhood .. but a triumphant and up-lifting ending =]

  • it was 4-9

  • is it true the one his brother abused him 2
