  • If it would fit Lee Doren's interests that the earth was flat he would stop at nothing for claiming so.

  • Lee is an expert at what I like to call, "making sh*t up."

  • Wait, your telling me that you actually read what the Gawker article said and did research on the new regs? Blasphemy I say, Blasphemy!!!!

  • Considering how quick he is to remove posts for which he can't find a rebuttal, perhaps he should change his real name to Delete Doren.

  • Doren should change his nickname to something more accurate - WhereCanIbuyAclue?

  • Sounds a lot like regulation already in place here in (most of) Europe. But of course we are Ebil Communists.

  • Hmm... where are these airlines... so I can avoid them? When I have waited a few times in a US Airways (or affiliate) planes on domestic flights, even in the hottest summer weather, they were cool and comfy (they ran the AC... you know. That new fangled HCF134 based compressed gas cooling system?) Pwnage, indeed. I am also blocked for the same reasons from his sites.

  • Sounds like his channel should be called "WhatMakesTheWorldGoRound"

  • Comment removed

  • God, is wearing a bow tie in that tiny pic? Is he a Tucker Carlson wannabe?

  • I dont believe in every idea that Lee has but.... How many times does history have to repeat itself before you statist get it through your thick skulls... Government doesn’t care about you. These "new regulations" were put in place to shut up morons like you. Do you honestly think these new rules will have any effect but negative? With all the failures of government in the past, you STILL THINK THEY HELP?

  • @drshlotzkin They do help. These regulations are extensions of regulations passed last year, that have made problems such as long delays and extended wait on the tarmac greatly reduced. Air travel is still affordable, and problems that consumers have complained about have been greatly reduced.

Summary: Proof positive they do help.

  • @csbair

(hypothetical) When a plane is forced off the tarmac because they are "afraid" of violating any new "rules" and it crashes.

Who are you going to blame?

And let me guess you will want more government regulation/oversight?

  • @drshlotzkin That, so far, is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. A plane has to deboard within four hours of closing the door to avoid the large fine. There are trucks that can taxi planes if things are a bit crowded. There's no fear of crashing due to the system already in place at airports.

Your hypothetical is pure fantasy, not based on any real-world events.

  • @csbair That should be, "dumbest thing I've heard today." Correction made.

  • @csbair You probabaly havent seen my first comment so ill partially repeat it.

1 Forcing airlines to pay double the ticket for a missed seat may reduce missed seats but will still drive up prices.

2 the 27,500 fine wont stop the problem but exacerbate it as people will be taken off just to be put back on again

3 Airlines have always tried to avoid baggage lost/damage. This new meassure wont diminish it but increase operating costs.

These increase will be past on. Airline cant absorb them all

  • @NicosMind 1. How? They're overselling seats based on the idea that some people may cancel. Now they can no longer do this unless they make arrangements to make sure the people still reach their destination within a couple of hours of their original scheduled landing time.

    2. Except that when the original regulation was set into place, there was an over 80% drop in long tarmac waits. Now it's applied everywhere to everyone.

    3. Airliners had to pay for the lost items. Now they pay for the fee too

  • @csbair 1 How? Cause its double the price of the ticket, and by making them more nervous to book those canceled seats they will have more empty seats on flights. Thats a double hit.

2 Decline or not. The fine is beyond excessive and unjustified, and people are still taken off and put onto planes. With laws like this being past i now understand why.

3 And you dont see how that drives up prices?

Its hard to express in 500chts but my comment was about prices being raised and all 3 do that

  • @NicosMind 1. They can rebook a cancelled seat. But if they book a seat that's already paid for, and both passengers want to board, then the airliner must get both to their destination within two hours of the scheduled arrival time. Still not seeing how this makes the airliners scared to book tickets.

    2. You can argue whether the fine is excessive, but it's not unjustified. When people were forced to wait for hours on a tarmac and there's no penalty for the airliner, the passengers are screwed.

  • @NicosMind 3. No, because fines levied do not drive up prices. Plenty of restaurants get hit with fines from health inspections, and they don't suddenly bump up the prices of their food. The airliners, like all businesses, should already be including extra funds into the prices of services in case of something like this. To save that money, they avoid the fines. If they get hit, they either cover it or go out of business.

Can you name any airliner that has raised their prices due to these?

  • @csbair Airliners have been trying to avoid baggage loss and damages for years. They have tried system after system and are continuously improving/trying to improve their rates. Government stepping in and throwing in an extra fine is government trying to justify themselves. How many customers do you think airlines have lost due to lost baggage? BA has lost 1000s according to our media.

The likes of delays, maintenance, flight control etc have always lost an airliner money. Fines dont help (cont)

  • (cont)

Its maths that these prices will have to be past on. Many airliners have gone bankrupt in the past 10 years(and many more will i bet you). Im not saying that prices will increase substantially, i think Lee Doren has greatly exaggerated and im by no means trying to defend him. Fact is he was wrong with some of what he said. A video response might have been better, but Lee was partially right, just not very convincing with his argument. Fines drive up costs. etc

  • @csbair

And environmentalist who pushed drilling offshore and having to tank our oil half way around the world wouldn’t cause any problems?

Ok if we aren’t talk hypothetical’s, lets go back to what you said before… These are extensions of prior regulations? Why were the last set of regulations inept? And the set of rules before that? Do you not see a pattern of failure here?

  • @drshlotzkin How on earth do you go from regulations for airliners to environmentalists pushing offshore drilling...? If you can't stay on topic, then why bother having a discussion?

The last set of regulations weren't inept. They only applied to US-based airliners at major airports. These new regulations extend to all airports in the US and all carriers, regardless of their country of origin, while they are in the US. They also added extensions, such as refunding baggage fees for lost bags.

  • @csbair

Because he's a moron and it's a morons logic leap.

  • @csbair

We arent talking about regulation? Ok then what are we talking about... I was tring to show you were over-regulation gets us.

"The last set of regulations weren't inept. They only applied to US-based airliners at major airports...."

THANKS FOR PROVING THE LAST SET OF REGULATIONS WERE INEPT.

Do you always fall prey to this false sense of security when it comes to "regulation"? If these new regs are fully enforced, you think the price of a ticket will not increase?

  • @drshlotzkin We're talking about one specific set of regulations. Stay on topic. If you can't, then you have no point in this matter.

The last set of regulations weren't inept. They were limited in scope, but they worked. Now they're applied everywhere. I think that you do not understand what "inept" means.

So far, ticket prices have not increased due to the previous regulations. Recent fines were levied against an international carrier and a US carrier. No price increases yet.

  • @drshlotzkin Watch the video again. The fines do not apply if the cause of the delay is safety.

  • @Tokeloshe123

And we cant talk about this because of "National Security"... Safety my asshole.

  • @drshlotzkin The pilots for negligence

  • Opps let me rephrase… Was airline deregulation in the 70s a bad thing?

  • Question: Was airline deregulation was a bad thing in the 70s?

  • Lee Doren just shows what a hypocritical bunch of shits libertarians really are.

Like every single libertard I've ever seen, they block whatever they don't like. Free speech? They believe in that as long as you freely speak what they want to hear.

They're very similar to fundies in psychology, but with capitalism and the invisible hand as their dogma's instead of cherry picked stuff from the bible and jesus.

    Seriously, fuck libertarianism.

  • @TheSkunkCat

Thanks for showing your idoicy.... Serious you are fucking stupid. Kthx

Libertarian? Jesus? WHAT? Holy shit you are stupid.

  • Nice one. There are already rights in place in the EU for air and rail passengers.

  • @DLandonCole Yeah, pointed that out to Lee in the original discussion. He did his best to dodge that little fact.

  • As a DOT/FAA employee (13 years as an air traffic controller), I can say from first hand experience that we do not make the airlines stay on the ground unless it is for very specific reasons--either the destination airport is beyond capacity due to weather, traffic saturation, etc, or for security reasons such as: presidential movement or a possible terrorist threat. Other than that, as long as the airlines or pilots have filed a flight plan, we'll let them fly.

  • Great video, i cant believe fuckers actually listen to that cunt

  • 2 people were not reimbursed for Snakes on a Plane

  • @csbair, Lee just uploaded, "Bad Department of Transportation Rule With Good Intentions" video ID e3BtY1et32o, 1 hour ago, and mentions in very vague terms some of your critisms, but deliberately avoids naming you or anyone else, Lee forbid you get more than minimal exposure.

As for Lee's claim: "my book...was #1 in the education section on amazon again", the TRUTH is his "E-BOOK on amazon KINDLE is #3 IN EDUCATION and #1 EDUCATION>EDUCATION THEORY>PHILOSOPHY & SOCIAL ASPECTS". Lying again.

  • >>CORRECTION<<

in my last post I mention a "#3" ranking. That was wrong, the reality is Lee's "E-BOOK on amazon KINDLE is #7 IN EDUCATION...". that's #7 NOT #3, and certainly NOT #1 on Kindle let alone #1 in education on all of amazon as Lee's been claiming for almost a week. Lee's been caught lying again.

  • @ZangaroZen

I'd seriously question his credibility in writing anything educational based.....

  • @AngryWomble, you say "I'd say seriously question his credibility", yeah Lee is a rabid liar. He claims "yesterday my book...was #1 in the education section on Amazon AGAIN", but the truth is:

    1. his "book" is an E-BOOK NOT a traditional book

    2. his e-book is #273 in Amazon>Non Fiction>Education NOT #1

    3. his e-book is #7 in Kindle Store>Kindle eBooks>Non Fiction>Education NOT #1

    4. his e-book is #1 in Kindle Store>Kindle ebooks>Non Fiction>Education>Education Theory>Philosophy & Social Aspects

  • @AngryWomble Apparently you can read his book in an hour.

  • @CollinMaessen, and that "book", or more accurately an "e-book" was written in a few weeks part-time at night. Maybe 50 pages with loads of copy and paste web material/blogs/links. Sounds like a college term paper on pet opinions.

  • @CollinMaessen

??? Is that a general you or a me specific one, bearing in mind i read a little slower than most.

  • @AngryWomble I don't have the book, you can find the amount of time people need to read the book in the amazon reviews.

  • @ZangaroZen He was referring to CSBair and me on google+. He even used one of my sources I used to argue against him in his description and gave me a hat tip for it. Never mentions the 8 comments I left trying to explain the rules to him.

(btw, I am going to respond to that video).

  • @CollinMaessen, well Lee doesn't refer to CSbair nor you.

As for using one of your sources, Lee doesn't make note of that either, but did list 3 links to: lifehackerDOTcom, dotDOTgov and today.msnbc.msnDOTcom . The dot one is a given, which of the other 2 was your suggestion?

Of course Lee didn't acknowledge your 8 comments pwn'ing him.

Looking forward to viewing another video from you pwn'ing Lee yet again on his corporate imperialist dishonesty.

  • @CollinMaessen, (con't) from my last post.

Yes Lee mentions you as "Collin" (hardly a meaningful reference or link to you) in a hat tip for "finding that" (finding what?) at 7:06 near the very end of the video. Sorry this hat tip and reference doesn't amount to much if anything.

Thanks for making me re-listen to Lee's BS a second time.

  • @ZangaroZen No he doesn't mention Bair or me, but I have the strong suspicion it is us he's referring to as that was the place we challenged him.

The DOT is the one I provided, It's the link he's giving me a hat tip for (he mangles the sentence a bit though). And no it isn't a meaningful reference, but he did confirm it on google+ bit. ly/p4iaYc

"Thanks for making me re-listen to Lee's BS a second time." You're welcome. ;-)

  • @CollinMaessen, Lee's slipping, his old self would have just made the video without referencing any detractors, and there by declare the vast majority of people, who were never dropped on their head, agree with him as always.

Next time, spare me Lee's BS more than once. Provide a video time location, which in this case was at the end 7:06. Having listen to his video once, I didn't catch the "Collin" reference as being anyone but a supporter, which likely was Lee's misleading intention.

  • The word Pwnage should be in the title .

  • Ah yes, the sideways logic of Lee Doren. He's the one who explained that price gouging during a disaster saves lives by teaching people to be more responsible. I'm not surprised that he claimed that regulating airlines would kill poor people

  • it would be equally valid to claim that this legislation will cause mroe people to travel via train, and trains are safer than airplanes.

  • even if we assume that this regulation creates increased costs for airlines, i would imagine that the result would be decresed pay for employees of the airlines...not increased cost of tickets. FUrther speculation about poor people dying on highways is compounding the speculation ad absurdum. There is obviously far more than a single consequence of increased air fares...and many unknowns...but none of them are such a disaster that it worth pretending that this is oppresion of the poor.

  • i thought his concern about effects on the airline was actually reasonable...although exaggerated. the bottom line is that even though the airliners do have control to meet the standards the dot requires..it is reasonable to assume that they dont already do this because of some financial cost. His concern is valid but probably greatly exaggerated.

But his conclusiont aht poor people will die in car accidents more is just silly. you shouldve talked about that more.

  • this is very interesting, I will continue to watch this... god this is boring

  • Doren fall apart as a commentor when you realise he doesnt really have any views outside of Democracts=bad.

  • So that shithead is still at it, eh?

  • "up to twice the price of the ticket" "the GOVERNMENT will fined up to $27,500 per passanger.. [who] wont see that money" [more money for baggage losses]

Looking at the facts he still draws the correct conclutions of driving up prices, and (possibly) forcing people not to take airplanes.

Costing more to run will drive up prices. And to get round the 4hr rule passangers will be taken off the plane only to be forced to reboard. If you ask me thats worst and will add more pressure onto crews!

  • @NicosMind Not really. If only one airline existed than his concerns would be valid, but this means only an airline company that drops the ball will be fined and if they wanted to up the prices than they would lose more money as consumers would most likely fly on another airline that didn't screw up.

  • @Riflewolf So how many airlines have gone bankrupt over the last 10 years? Airlines cant keep absorbing prices, they have to adjust. This wont be a massive raise which is why i said it might put people off flying, not that it would. However because of this new law theres two guaranteed ways which prices will increase(do you think airlines have been avoiding finding solutions to baggage lost/damage) and one possible way prices will increase although ive already mentioned how to avoid it.

  • @NicosMind Sorry, but I think this is a good idea. First off it is not like any of these airlines will be charged these fines. It will only happen if the airline screws up. Like the video explains, the airlines have plenty of ways to get out of paying the fines and they would only be fined if they really messed up. Even if they raise the prices, consumers will either pay or not. If they don't than the prices will have to drop again and the airlines will have to learn to not screw up

  • @Riflewolf Seriously? Kicking the air industry when its down? How do you justify a $27,500 fine per passenger, which the customers will never see, which the government will take? Seriously what are the reasonings for such a high number? These are 3 things that happen often, the 27G fine will be avoided by taking people off and putting them on again. That will annoy people even more and put even more pressure on the crews.

The other 2 will just drive up prices, these laws wont reduce the baggage

  • @NicosMind To put it simply, these fines will make any airline run smoother. If the airline is well organized, is taking care of their planes, and not over selling planes and screwing people over than they shouldn't have any problem. Worst case scenario is that all airlines start to collapse and a new one will rise. The airline industry isn't going to disappear so as long as the airlines are smart about what they do, they will be fine

  • @Riflewolf What is it you have against maths and logic? Your logic comes from the Soviet Union that in order to make an economy run smoothly, all that has to happen is big brother government step in and keep piling regulation on top of regulation and never repeal. If youre on a plane approachind that 4hr limit remind yourself about the smoothness as youre taken off and put back on again so the airline avoids a fine. It may reduce people losing seats but it wont reduce baggage damge/lost (Contin)

  • (cont) as airlines have been trying out one system after the other in an effort to stop it. In short 3 different new costs to the airlines drives up prices.

And think about traffic control and maintenance and any other reason that delays flights. Dont you think the airlines since day one has been wanting to avoid all those things as it piss off passengers, and drives up costs???? How does piling on the penalties help? Look deeper. Dont disagree for the sake of it.

  • Doran is an attention hoar.

  • I think that when Lee says he knows how the world works, he believes that he lives in Atlas Shrugged, where the laws of physics bend in favor of aggressive capitalists.

  • @csbair, epic pwnage. Kudos. Thumbs up. Are you going to pwn Lee on more of his other endless BS?

  • @ZangaroZen This was my only real interaction with Lee Doren. Plus so many people have already taken him apart (like Thunderf00t).

  • @csbair, oh I see. Well your one interaction with Lee Doren, got you blocked within one post. ROTFLMA. What a debating coward Mr. Doren is and hugely disrespectful of free speech he is, in short an epic wimp.

  • but you see, he is 100% right. these actions MAY cause air lines to raise prices (ofcourse, being greedy might also do that), and unless we somehow also raise prices for driving ppl might take the (now cheaper) risk of driving by car.

what needs to be done, is along side these regulations, we should raise the tax on fuel. to make sure ppl don't drive thier dangourse cars.

and even if air lines don't raise costs, we should do the above mentioned tax, who knows, it might save a life ....

  • This is how a concise, non-hostile correction/rebuttal should be done! Great video!

  • I've always found it mildly amusing how Doren frequently accuses others of being a 'Drone' when Doren is an anagram of Drone.

  • @Thunderf00t. ROFLMAO!!!

Then there is the time Lee Doren commanded his drone subscribers to send porno files to the White House, and another time when he got caught with 1000s of sock accounts and reacted by commanded his drone subscribers to make videos proving they were real, and only 1 out of 16000 accounts did. Talk about a dismal approval rating. What Lee doesn't understand is that sock accounts only make good drones if they don't have to speak.

  • @Thunderf00t Lee has been the subject of videos of mine several times now. You might enjoy them: watch?v=F3QUnv5k9SE (in this one Lee makes a case for global warming being unfalsifiable as some tweets linked the earthquake in Japan to global warming)

  • the overbooking one is sweet. i always wondered how the hell they could get away with that shit.

  • But... but... what about all those books he sits in front of while he rants? He MUST know what he's talking about. You're just jealous because he's smarter than you.

  • Lee Doren caught bullshitting again, what a "surprise"!

  • Lee is still blind to the fact that the complete deregulation of industry and commerce equates handing the foxes the keys to the hen-house. Unless of course, he sees himself as one of the foxes.

  • @TheShoguneagle, no Lee's to stupid to be a fox, he's more like the skunk that wants to blow the fox in exchange for some small hen parts and eggs.

  • You've confirmed something that I have suspected about Lee for quite some time. He is a walking, breathing (but not thinking) Neo-Con cartoon.

  • @WildwoodClaire1 I've made several videos about mistakes he makes. For example his usage of tweets that claimed the earthquake in Japan was caused by global warming as evidence that the theory isn't falsifiable anymore:

    watch?v=F3QUnv5k9SE

  • @CollinMaessen, great videos. You've probably been blocked by HTWW forever because of your pwn'ings of him.

  • @ZangaroZen Strangely enough I'm no longer blocked by him on YouTube, have been for a while now.

  • @CollinMaessen, no longer blocked? Lee probably hit the 100,000 block limit, and had to make more room for new blocks by unblocking others. During the episode when ThunderF00t was pwn'ing him, Lee admitted to blocking 25 people per day, while he earned 5 new subs per day. A 500% block to sub differential.

Pwn him but good with a new video or call him on this BS in a text post, and you'll be blocked again.

  • i honestly thought this guy disappeared, i haven't heard anything from him in forever...

  • @MobileThinker Well he's still around. He even wrote a book recently.

The reason why you haven't heard of him in a while may be that he now spends more time talking about events that happened in news and less time ranting about other youtubers like he used to.

  • @Queekitch, oh yeah he's around. Still making a few videos a week, videos he calls "news" but in reality are just his empty opinions on stuff.

As for his "book", it's an "e-book" not a book type book, even though he continually calls it a "book". Something he wrote over a few weeks at night. Suspiciously the amazon page on his e-book does not say how many pages it is. I'm guessing around 50, based on the few page preview on amazon.

  • @Queekitch SOMEONE THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO PUBLISH A BOOK WRITTEN BY HIM?!?!?!?! that is fuckin scary!!

  • @MobileThinker, no one published Lee's "book" as he calls it. From what can be figured it's a 50 page (Lee has the book's page count hidden) shpeel he wrote at nights over a few weeks, and then uploaded to amazon to sell as an E-BOOK, again an EEEEEE-BOOK, NOT a "book". Seems to be like a college term paper of his pet opinions, which he claims has been "#1 in amazon's education section" (he's just removed the book's kindle sales ranking to impede verification) . See my post "#3 IN"

  • Obviously he doesn't travel much.....

    Regards,

    Rhysz

  • @Rhysz1 Apparently he travels enough:

"Frankly, I hate flying more than most people. I hate waiting on the tarmac. I hate delays. I hate if they lose my bag. However, I don't need the government creating a new rule to help me, when really all it means is that I'll likely pay more for travel. Competition would solve that problem much better thanks."

But later he says "The "market" for airlines in the US is basically a bunch of small monopolies and propped up failures."

  • @CollinMaessen Do I need to reply to this?

    Regards,

    Rhysz

  • @Rhysz1 Well you did, so bit redundant in asking if you should. :P

  • You bastard, you don't even mention my exchange with him. And how he just dropped the discussion when I pointed out he was contradicting himself. :P

But still like your video though. ;)

  • @CollinMaessen, sounds like the making of a great pwnage video.

  • @ZangaroZen I wrote a blog post about it, currently focusing on a few other video topics (I will only pay any more attention to this if he tries to continue it): bit. ly/owcqN6

  • @CollinMaessen, read your article, which amounts to a brutal objective public calling out based on rock solid fact. Well done. Problem is very few people will read your article at that location. Follow up your article with a youTube video and 1000s will see and comment on it. Besides you've been unblocked long enough. LOL

  • he looks like a virgin LOL again, welcome back csbair. your rants are always awesome

  • @Zero2Legend, well if you were barely 30 years old, 5'3", weighed 112lbs, and wore goofy glasses, you'd look like a virgin too. In any event he dedicated his e-book to his wife, so he's probably getting some, which is scary as that could mean a little Lee Jr. and Leigh Jr. could be on the way or even here as we speak.

  • @ZangaroZen ehh if he wasnt such an internet douche i wanted say shit, i know a few people like that and i dont make of them there good people. but from what happened, hes clearly an asshole that clearly feels superior on the internet, and i hate people like that...so yeah, he still looks like a virgin lol

  • @Zero2Legend, you got a point Lee's a huge wind bag of confidence and bravado over the internet, hurling all manner of insults at his immediate adversary and their whole extended family. But in person he's as meek as they come. On the internet know one knows you're a midget, but out in the real world no notices a midget in a crowd.

  • @ZangaroZen yeah anyone can sound confident on the internet lol hell im doing a great job of it, i just hate when people take it that far and think there someone to be worshiped or some shit

  • @Zero2Legend, Lee made a video watch?v=NpZClsyyIdI where he commanded his subscribers (about 12000 at the time) to spam the White House with porn. Talk about delusions of having 1000s of zombie drones worshipping his opinions and willing to do anything he commands. Spamming the White House is an extreme idiot plan, but not nearly as moronic as thinking he can get 1000s to do it. Lee's likely a narcissist.

Basic rule of thumb: never say anything that you're not willing to say in person.

  • @ZangaroZen my thoughts exactly, i couldn't have put that shit better myself

  • Funny how he doesn't know how the world works.

  • @iiiiblaze, but Lee DOES know how the world works, his fantasy world, and in that fantasy world everyone that doesn't agree with him 100% or has the nerve to bring up cold hard facts to pwn him are stupid retards, dropped on their head a birth, abused by their father, a waste of government education, and out to destroy HIS country.

Before choosing "HowTheWorldWorks", Lee likely thought about "IknowMoreThanYouPeriod", "IveReadMoreBooksThanYoullEverRead", "IveNeverLostAdebate", etc

  • For the record lee is some what right handing down these fines will only add to the cost of running the airline and they will pass it on to the consumer.

  • @sweatytoothmadman Lee is not right because similar regulations were put into place last summer without any price increases. And that the reasons he thinks airliners will be fined are fabricated.

It would be extremely rare that an airliner would be fined for the delays. And that means that they won't be spiking prices due to them.

  • @csbair Furthermore, he's assuming that all factors are outside the airline's control.

Airlines that take measures to mitigate their exposure to these fines will be better off than those that don't. This will allow them to have lower prices or better services than their competitors, securing them a competitive advantage.

  • @sweatytoothmadman Like I pointed out myself to Lee is that a previous version of these rules have been in effect since 2009. And they had no discernable effect on prices.

However they did solve a lot of problems in the industry. One of the effects was the drop in tarmac delays from 664 to 16 right after the first rules were enacted.

  • @sweatytoothmadman even if that was true, it is only putting the costs BACK ON THE AIRLINES where they belong, instead of onto the passengers who have to wear the costs incurred due to being stranded or late for connecting flights or whatever.

  • @dangerouslytalented Well if this increases costs, there's a far more disturbing thing.

If these regulations that forces an airliner to actually give you the ticket they promised would increases prices it means that they were intentionally selling more tickets than available seats.

  • @CollinMaessen And that is what they DO do, they overbook flights because there are usually two or three people who miss the plane, and to not do that would be to waste their seat.

  • @dangerouslytalented And that is why I suspect that he didn't want to concede this point.

  • @CollinMaessen If the airfares are not high enough to cover such costs, then the cost of the ticket is too low.

  • @sweatytoothmadman Hes' wrong. Everything is passed onto the consumer.

    Most American companies have such a sense of entitlement that if they make record profits their logic is;

"People like our service. Therefore, we must raise prices."

    If they're doing poorly it is;

"We need to charge more money to make up for the loss."

Lee Doren is an idiot who couldn't get a fact straight if it was on training wheels..

  • @sweatytoothmadman, maybe, or maybe the airlines will be forced to induced to take customer service more seriously and avoid the fines by operating more efficiently and in the long run reduce costs.

  • @sweatytoothmadman You are correct with this comment re passing on costs to the consumer. I dont know what csbair was thinking when he disagreed with this. This is pretty elementary micro economics.

I doubt the quantum of this change is sufficient to result in material mode share elasticity as the original comment from LD said.

  • Doren is a subscriber whore whose only purpose on youtube is to make money from advertising as shown from one of his first videos.

When you block people and censor comments when you are wrong or being pointed out that you made a mistake...then you are a douche.

Lee Doren is a douche, a pedantic douche but hey everybody knows it, he has been pwned by a lot of people from the start...gosh what a douche

  • Yeah banning is his MO.

    I swear... He's like a corporate Nazi.

Business can never do wrong, and everyone else other then corporations are in the wrong, "always".

He's really one sick puppy humping the legs of big business.

  • @mrx0066600 Then you might enjoy the following that he said:

"I want more competition and more market forces. I don't want a statist solution to a statist problem."

That was one of his responses to me about these regulations. Funny thing is, before making that statement he said "The "market" for airlines in the US is basically a bunch of small monopolies and propped up failures."

In other words he says the market has failed and refused to explain how this was a problem caused by the state.

  • @CollinMaessen

Yeah I actually read through those comments and his responses... He's very irritating and really doesn't seem to care at all about what he types or whether it makes sense.

  • @mrx0066600 That's the reason why Lee and I love each other. ;)

  • @mrx0066600, I've recognized Lee Doren AKA HowTheWorldWork's "corporate imperialism" within 6 months of his channel's creation. He's never on the wrong side of corporate imperialism. NEVER.

Do have to disagree with your analoyg of "sick puppy humping the legs of big business", no sir he's got no scrupples but to take up tand will take it up the ass and every other orafice at once, as long as there's a dollar sign attached to it. Metaphorically speaking.

  • Any bets he is a creationist and a fan of Christohper Monckton, WLC, Hovind, Hamm etc.

  • @Tridhos He isn't a creationist, he has publicly attacked people who deny evolution. Although he has subsequently said in one of his videos that he doesn't think it is important that a politician believes in Evolution. As it has no bearing on their political stance.

Three guesses who he was defending.

  • @Tridhos, he's in love with Lord Monckton, but is no creationist as he believes in evolution.

  • @ZangaroZen I can't remember him showing support for Monckton. But I do know he is "sceptical" about global warming.

  • @CollinMaessen, Lee has expressed his huge admiration for Monckton a few times, watch

Great pwning material, practically begging for it.

  • Lee Doren is a dumb litle cunt. He's been pwn'd by The Amazing Atheist before. Nobody should pay any mind to whatever he says.
