downforce...just seems with everything this trucks got going there would be a better way of dealing with the airflow. a custom cover from top rear of cab to top of tailgate with a spoiler...remove tailgate and add small spoiler across top.

@bd85supra Im pretty sure trucks are actually designed for aerodynamics with the tailgate up. Or thats at least how they are tested coming from the factory. Idk maybe it would have helped with his speed but im almost positive trucks aero properties are designed with the gate up

@WOTGTP98 Thats possible... my friends f 150 picked up at least 1 mpg on the highway by adding a bedcover. it had that much effect on a truck doing 75 mph, now put that into perspective going almost 200 mph... i think the inprovement in speed would be significant.

@SadKamper No. Actually creates an air pocket inside the bed and behind the cab that circulates around and allows the air coming over the truck to slide over that pocket of air. Like a big air balloon from the back of the cab the the tailgate, then the other air slips right over it.

He was telling me about that. I am building my Syclone to have some 1 mile fun but gear limited with AWD & don't feel like doing RWD with taller gear in it. Will see I just might rev the piss out of it with 4L80E.
