Camaro dude is a numb nutt. Adjustable spoilers made by the top manufactures on the planet (APR) don't equal rice. And they start working at various speeds depending on the angle you adjust them too. Of course the track dictates all of that. What a moron.
Because 1) the spoilers are adjustable. Depending on the angle they are set at, they start functioning for various speeds. 2) This is ONE track in the Redline Time Attack series. You think they going to remove their aero aids for one track in the series dude? These cars have 500, 600, 900+whp and reach speeds of 170+ mph on some of the tracks in the series with long enough straights. They are FAR from being riced out.

If it never saw a track day and yet still had a big wing, then that would be a waste of a good functional wing. I happen to drive a car that is track worthy and is still street legal, so I drive it on the streets too. I run an APR GT200 wing and APR front splitter. I track it on a regular (at least twice a month). I've run Redline Time Attack as well.

Camaro dude is a numb nutt. Adjustable spoilers made by the top manufactures on the planet (APR) don't equal rice. And they start working at various speeds depending on the angle you adjust them too. Of course the track dictates all of that. What a moron.

Because 1) the spoilers are adjustable. Depending on the angle they are set at, they start functioning for various speeds. 2) This is ONE track in the Redline Time Attack series. You think they going to remove their aero aids for one track in the series dude? These cars have 500, 600, 900+whp and reach speeds of 170+ mph on some of the tracks in the series with long enough straights. They are FAR from being riced out.

@TheRohBoat In my opinion, no. Still would not be rice. Because it's still a track car that just happen to be driving on the street. If it never saw a track day and yet still had a big wing, then that would be a waste of a good functional wing. I happen to drive a car that is track worthy and is still street legal, so I drive it on the streets too. I run an APR GT200 wing and APR front splitter. I track it on a regular (at least twice a month). I've run Redline Time Attack as well.

As fast as Camaros are in a straight line, you will see a lot more people racing mazda miatas because they are simpler, lighter and better balanced for the track.
Illegal street racing (which is predominantly drag racing) is a totally different story. The Camaro would pretty much always win.

I'm just glad i got a chance to run with those skilled drivers. I had the advantage of weight, they had POWER!! Racing is 30% car 70% driver(in my opinion). The fastest driver in a slowest car will usually beat the slowest driver in the fastest car!!!

that's like the time when they were showing off the IS-F at Laguna Seca. They let regular folk drive following a pro in the IS 250 (half the engine size and half the power - 416 vs 206).
Needless to say, no one in the F was able to catch up to the 250 lol
