To assume that someone you have never met doesn't speak more than 1 language is ridiculous. 2nd, I studied phonetics. "Sank" and "Cinq" have a slight difference in the vowel sound, so what he said actually is "Cinq" and not "Sank". 3rd, this is American television.They wouldn't use a European expression that only 1% of the audience would understand. And lastly, calm down or GTFO.

@PirateSkitchan Le mot sank a vrai dire fais beaucoup plus de sens. La joke vient du fait qu'elle parle tres rapidement pour ne pas qu'il traduise et il ''coule''. Une faible minorité? C'est de l'anglais EXTREMEMENT basic. Environ du niveau d'un enfant de 5 ans qui parle anglais.

Je suis bien d'accord que SANK et cinq sonne tres différent, surtout pour quelqu'un qui parle a un accent british, mais sank fait beaucoup plus de sens.

And it is funny because he keep trying to translate (in a relative refined french tho, with accent of course) but some shortcut english words are just impossible so he just translate the last word

It is typical (in french movies & stuff) to hear this accent in World war 2 themed stories, while British accent sounds completely different. They misspell some words and it's funny hearing them--- same for the opposite situation.

N'empêche il a pas mal géré. Réussir à prononcer quelques mots en français est une chose, les faire passer sur un ton humoristique en est une autre.
