part of the original great things about the original was that
#1. it took place in the war room of the us
#2. joshua said more than play with me sexy and had a personality.
#3. the actors were not teens that look like they belong on a cw show, they were everyday nerdy teens and lightman did some col stuff.
#4. the music for the original was superb.

So the original Wargames tells us that M.A.D. doesn't work and that no one wins a nuclear war.
While this movie tells us that M.A.D. works and that the best way to avoid conflict is thru making your enemy afraid to attack.
Odd that they took such a different direction to the original.

Well the original movie was a cult classic where this won't even be purchased by TV stations to play when they have nothing else.......... Show any kid an old cartoon like Astroboy which is loaded with good messages and they'll tell you their new ones which are all violence and stupid condescending storylines just suck.

For those who are calling this movie a waste of time, I advise you to actually watch it. I was REALLY skeptical and thought this was a pointless sequel, but actually its not... It is ACTUALLY a true sequel. If you loved the original you will enjoy this one

you are tard with no taste, all the original actors are replaced nated and other than the wopr style computer with a females voice that mostly says play with me sexy, this is the worst movie of last year, worst movie in 15 years and only movie ive stopped watching an hour into in my lifetime and I sat through attack of teh killer tomatos so i have an iron stomach for bad movies.

This movie is fucking awful. I got bored while watching a bunch of stupid people who have designed a supercomputer that is not controlled by people. The funniest thing was to see it control every single camera anywhere. Woaw! There is also your grandma's computer named Joshua that can talk to people. If you are alone, you can get into a conversation with it. It can make jokes, draw a conclusion from something, and write you a paragraph. Do not watch this bullshit!

Everyone HAS to see this movie. It is SO BAD ITS FUNNY.
Its about a computer with a strobe light in it that makes people play this online video game, and when people are too good at it it means they're TERRORISTS (zomg), and the computer tries to kill them! So this teenager plays the game and is good at it, so the FBI (or whatever) is after him. It makes no frikkin sense.

The original was great. This one was good, too. Sure, not as OMFGAWESOMESOCKS as the first ones, but it was pretty good for a direct-to-DVD movie.
For way too long people have downed Direct-to-DVD movies. StarShip Troopers is a good example.

I just saw this.. I didn't like it. it takes more than car-chases and made up computer technobable to impress me. This movie was totally unrealistic of computers and technology (unlike the original) and was very, very thin on actual plot.
