The game looks sooo good I was going to buy it, but I hated the Demo controls! I realize if I bought Killzone 2 I could've just adjusted the control settings (I think) but it just feels so stiff and unnatural. Now I regret it, I'm stuck with BFBC2 (Which is REALLY GREAT) but not as good compared to Killzone 2 ): for its time it was much better then MW2 or BFBC2 or anything and still is.
i think this man havent seen Gears of war 2's water effects yet :)
however i'm a xbox360 user and i hate these fanboys. Killzone, god ofwar, granturismo series are best series ever. But gears of war, forza motorsports are good too.
For everyone fighting about graphics do yourself a favor. Get a HUGE HDTV 42' and above like mine. HDMI, Set the display properties right and then compare graphics of the games. Just an FYI, the 360 doesnt support full 1080p the 360 goes to 720 and upscales where as the PS3 is true 1080p. In other words upscaling is lower quality than true. The only thing the PS3 upscales is when it plays DVDs. It automatically upscales DVDs for the best quality.

@NamelessStrang3r Ps3 has a more powerful CPU but Xbox 360s GPU has more to it. like more AA and Nvidia PhysX support. Although the argument over Xbox 360 vs Ps3 is old. It's PC ftw these days.
And I still would add one more thing: when I get a multiplatform game, I almost always end up getting it for the 360. The games look and perform slightly, but noticeably better on the 360. I only play exclusives on the PS3.
Xbox360 and PS3 are both amazing! I have the PS3 and I'm very happy, because of the awesome exclusives it has...MGS4, Little Big Planet, Killzone 2 (of course! the BEST!!), Final Fantasy XIII versus (not out yet, but the trailers look great), Uncharted 2 (amazing too) etc....there are a lot more (GT5 for example)!
The only great exclusive for Xbox360 I've seen so far is Gears of War I + II (HALO sucks)
The system-powers are almost equal, so go along with the exclusives!

That is just another common myth, If you look at the amount of PS3 exclusives to 360 exlusives, you will see that the ps3 has more, plus i can play all 360 exclusive games except for halo 3 onthe computer which always has the superior version of the game, whereas no ps3 exclusive is on the computer.
Exactly, currently you can play every 360 exclusive game on the computer using a better version except for Halo 3, Gears 2(For Now), and i think thats about it. Now dont get me wrong, the 360 is a great system and i own one to play gears and halo, but compared to the ps3 in terms of hardware, games, and reliability, it is crap. i agree that the 360 can pollish games very well and they have that over the ps3, but cod4, 5 etc... are all toned down capacity wise in order to fit the memory specs of the x360, if they were ps3 exclusives, you could expect that they would be much larger and all around better, sure if it was an xbox 360 exclusive it might have a litle bit smoother textures but thats about it.... oh also, ps3 have free online... just throwing that out there

killzone 2 obviously, ratchet and clank future: tools of destruction, uncharted: drakes fortune, uncharted: among thieves (depending on when you get the ps3 this might not be out yet, but it's comming out fall 2009 i believe), not littlebigplanet (don't believe the hype "it sucks"), and much, much more
there really aren't many good ps3 games. MGS is a great experience, but not a great game...worth a rental. ratchet and clank was awesome but again...only really worth a rental. and, uncharted if you like being frustrated by bad platformer elements combined with cliche story telling and dialogue and weak gunplay mechanics. it's still an okay game, but nothing special by any means. the best console games of this generation are bioshock and orange box (both of which are better on 360).

I have both consoles, and I'm not a fanboy of either sides, but I have to say that this game doesn't live up to the hype.
The screenshots were amazing, videos were amazing: but when you get to play the game, it's blurry, spammed with effects, gave me motion sickness and nausea in about 40 minutes.
The plot is mediocre, and the repetition of the same enemies and weapons doesn't make the game any better.

Why? Did I say something that was wrong? Listen, I've been following Killzone 2 since before that trailer in 05. I've been anticipating a sequel since the first one came out, and I'm a big fan of it. But even I can admit that the game optimizes detail while sacrificing variety. The game's environments don't vary greatly. Sure, there's the desert scene, but that's not enough. Even Saving Private Ryan had green fields.
i agree completely im not saying the game is bad obviously its only my favorite game in the world :P but the battlefields and setting should vary a little more resistance 2 had a nice blend for example
Killzone 2 might have a lot of graphical detail, but there's nothing to look at in this game except for dark walls and lights. Now, if they use the same engine to produce lush environments that vary, then I would applaud killzone 2, but as of right now, you're just fighting in the dark and killing red-eyed mutants who are trying to take over the universe or something. Not very original. Games like Uncharted and Little Big Planet try to keep us interested with bright enivronments, kz2 is dull.

There games are made in almost HD resolutions and then upscaled into "HD" but not true HD. Even the PS3 does not have true HD games..yet

Yeah halo is kind of repetitive and can get boring if your not in the right mind set, buts its still a good game at best.
And anyways mouse and keyboard are always better for any type of gaming, except for racing, but you usually get a racing wheel for that

this game is nice , and sony is realy lucky to have guerilla as first party developer, but we all know that xbox 360 has more nice games, and most game looks better on 360 specialy cod5

i agree that the 360 can pollish games very well and they have that over the ps3, but cod4, 5 etc... are all toned down capacity wise in order to fit the memory specs of the x360, if they were ps3 exclusives, you could expect that they would be much larger and all around better, sure if it was an xbox 360 exclusive it might have a litle bit smoother textures but thats about it.... oh also, ps3 have free online... just throwing that out there

yes most exclusive games has to look at its best on ther system choice, now killzone had to look good to impress sony, and since Cod4 and 5 is out for every system including PC, they pretty much look the same in every system but some people says 360 runs it better, and graphic wise id go Pc version of WaW, maxed out

yeah i played on my friends ps3 and killzone is really fun. i have a 360, and i dont see why people fight over which is better. th eonly reason the 360 has more games that are better than the ps3 is because the 360 has mostly rated M games, and barely any T or E games. i was thinking about gettin a ps3, and sure it has free online, but it costs like 400 bucks lol

killzone 2 obviously, ratchet and clank future: tools of destruction, uncharted: drakes fortune, uncharted: among thieves (depending on when you get the ps3 this might not be out yet, but it's comming out fall 2009 i believe), not littlebigplanet (don't believe the hype "it sucks"), and much, much more

there really aren't many good ps3 games. MGS is a great experience, but not a great game...worth a rental. ratchet and clank was awesome but again...only really worth a rental. and, uncharted if you like being frustrated by bad platformer elements combined with cliche story telling and dialogue and weak gunplay mechanics. it's still an okay game, but nothing special by any means. the best console games of this generation are bioshock and orange box (both of which are better on 360).

Killzone 2, MGS4, MAG, GOd of War 3, Uncharted 2, The agency, Wardevil, QUantum, Gran turismo 5,White knight chronicles, 8 days, Resistance 2, Little big planet, Warhawk. And manyt more, all thosegames being true exclusives, meaning they are not on computer. I have a 360, and i play halo 3 and gears 2 on it, becaue every other 360 game is on the computer, where i can play the better version of it. And no the best version of bioshock and orange box are on PC. or ps3 now, cuz of harder mode

yea all the guns are possible to be real and some of them are like the STA11(Helghast smg)is the russian PP-19 Bizon and the LMG is the MG-42 and the ISN LMG is the M249 and the M82 is obviously a bullpup M4A1

Xbox 360 has gears 2, halo 3(fun for people who either suck at videogames or want to play something easy), halo ODST(if its nothing like halo 3 it will be good), halo wars(mockery of a strategy game), Left 4 dead(Can beat hardest difficulty by meleeing through whole game), Mass effect(Probablly going to ps3 with 1 and 2, Alan wake(will probablly be cancled), Huxley will epic fail, Forza 3(GT5 Owns it), aand thats about it. so no , xbox sucks. And ps3 will have even more after its biggest e3

@InfraRedSkittle Can't they just be happy with Halo. they spend so much time talking how great it is and when they see killzone they quickly bitch about killzone. To me they seem more agressive about lapping games up. Ps3 owners are more patient for CELL-awesome games. However i have to give it to them about Alan Wake and Gears of War, they are some pretty AWESOME games. WELL DONE DEVELOPERS for Ps3 and 360 games.

I have both consoles, and I'm not a fanboy of either sides, but I have to say that this game doesn't live up to the hype.
The screenshots were amazing, videos were amazing: but when you get to play the game, it's blurry, spammed with effects, gave me motion sickness and nausea in about 40 minutes.
The plot is mediocre, and the repetition of the same enemies and weapons doesn't make the game any better.
It's a cool game but not very good.

Why? Did I say something that was wrong? Listen, I've been following Killzone 2 since before that trailer in 05. I've been anticipating a sequel since the first one came out, and I'm a big fan of it. But even I can admit that the game optimizes detail while sacrificing variety. The game's environments don't vary greatly. Sure, there's the desert scene, but that's not enough. Even Saving Private Ryan had green fields.

Killzone 2 might have a lot of graphical detail, but there's nothing to look at in this game except for dark walls and lights. Now, if they use the same engine to produce lush environments that vary, then I would applaud killzone 2, but as of right now, you're just fighting in the dark and killing red-eyed mutants who are trying to take over the universe or something. Not very original. Games like Uncharted and Little Big Planet try to keep us interested with bright enivronments, kz2 is dull.
