We pay farmers to not grow crops, so the price will stay up. US gov has for decades bought food just to keep the price up, so farmers won't go bust from market saturation.

I always use extra virgin olive oil , but even there it is not all safe cause sometimes it is fake and you could tell from the taste

Olive oil can be labeled 100% even though it can have up to 25% olive oil and 75% whatever-usually GM canola oil.

@soulinite I just saw a 60 Minutes show episode this last Sunday & they were talking about how they make food flavors & smell so that it can be "addicting" & this is the actual word & similar other words like that that were being used. It is intended to get you to keep purchasing their products no matter how bad they are for you. It was a very interesting episode. They also said that strawberry flavoring comes from a "beavers behind" this was how they put it in their own words! yikes
