  • which snake went and disliked this???

  • That is just awesome - I can almost see the title cards...

"Mr Hardy believed a man should always be completely honest with his wife...

    "Mr Laurel was crazy, too..."

  • Before "Talkies" there would have been many pianists around like him that played in cinemas but now people that can improvise like this and draw upon music he has heard and stored in his memory are rare. Loads of hints at tunes from their films! Marvellous!

  • wow! he is superb!!!!!

RIP Uncle Stan and Mr Ollie :)

  • The LeRoy Shields stuff was interchangeably used for various Roach lot series. The original material was recorded on strips of sounds film which could be copied (cut-and-pasted, basically) as underscoring over and over again. This fellow seems to be either remembering his own rendition of these tunes from years before, or he's orchestrating for piano on the spot - which is great! Fine ears and memory he's got. Both Disney theme parks have white upright pianos (for ragtime) on Main Street.

  • I love how he says "I haven't been rehearsing -- I'll see if I can remember it" --- and then goes into a great performance of most of the classic Laurel & Hardy themes.

    He's quite remarkable!

    Rowby

  • Cara que doido .que timbre desse piano..................LOUCURA

  • is this Disneyworld or Disneyland?? I hear this music at Disney World a lot.

  • Some of the music from Laurel and Hardy was also shared with the Little Rascals. there's a few songs that were more famous as Little Rascals music in there.

  • All the L&H themes are on CD by THE BEAU HUNKS ORCHESTRA on the Koch label. The album is out of print but is available on eBay and Amazon. The sheet music is collected in a book called THE MUSIC OF LAUREL & HARDY -- also OOP but available if you look.

  • now that's what I call quality music :) btw, does anyone know the name of this song or where to get the sheet music?

  • I've been looking for this music for ages. That pianist did a good job there for an unexpected and unusual request. Great tickling.

  • Somebody once referred to the music from Laurel & Hardy/ Little Rascals as the soundtrack of the lives of those of us of a certain age. It totally defines my childhood years from the 1960s. Thanks for posting this- it wasn't written for solo piano, but this fella did a great job.

  • 60s lol, this music is 20s
