Concerning the cartoon Rall did against Tillman (Tillman was shown as asking when he got to kill Arabs), I felt that was in poor taste and wrong. I disagree. Read the quotes from General Smedley Butler which I posted in a previous comment here. Butler is one of only 20 men to twice have been awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor.
In addition to the quotes I've already posted, Butler also said the following:

I have no idea who Ted Rall is and have seen Hannity a few times but what I do know is that whoever is speaking you let them say whatever they want under Free Speech and DEBATE with them not talk over each other. Hannity obviously did not want Rall to speak and now I have to go look him up elsewhere to figure out what his view is. Beware any Media that TELLS YOU WHAT TO THINK. Hannity couldn't answer the question Ted asked about who's threatening our free speech, because noone is threatening it. Once something like free speech has been established, it doesn't mean that it is constantly under threat. Are the Arabs or Hugo Chavez a threat to women's right to vote? Of course not, so why do blowhards like Hannity always bring up free speech? So going to Iraq and killing the inhabitants because they want us out of there is defending free speech?

I disagree with 99.9% of what Sean Hannity has to say, but Ted Rall is an equally disgusting human being and he certainly has the track record to back that claim up (Pat Tillman, that ridiculously offensive cartoon about the handicapped that got him fired, etc.). Anyone who says the military doesn't protect our freedoms only manages to demonstrate their poor understanding of U.S. history. Concerning the cartoon Rall did against Tillman (Tillman was shown as asking when he got to kill Arabs), I felt that was in poor taste and wrong. I don't agree with the war or how the media/Bush handled his death, but I do have some respect for Pat Tillman. It's like Rall had some personal beef against Tillman for the columns and cartoons he made against him. I didn't get his problem with Tillman himself.
