Oh my god, yes. Fuck this level. Those bees that flew around the barrels were the worst; I remember throwing my controller on several occasions.

I kind of want to play this game again though, just to see if I'm better at it nowadays.

A BIG PAIN IN THE ASS!!!!

There was a secret barrel at midway point that made you pass over almost all of the barrels. Sometimes I was lucky enough to "fail" the normal barrel and find that one xD

That blue balloon is a real bitch to get. Go through the barrels too slow, and you'll never know it was there; it flies away.

Most likely this was so over -hard level at the time, because we weren`t used seeing actual snow to hit the storm during gameplay... I remember the first time i played second level on this entire game and died almost at once just because it was raining and i looked the rain and not my character!

The spinning moving barrels is the hardest part in the level, I get confused and kinda dizzy if I concentrate and stare at the spinning barrels long enough to shoot it at the right time! e.e

But other then that, this game is awesome!!! :D

Well for people like me who hate using shortcuts, its one of the 2 hardest levels of the game. The other one being platform panic.

Even without the shortcut there are much harder levels in DKC 1 and DKC 2. Nonetheless the level is awesome and this is a cool video.

If you know the shortcut this level is actually really simple. At about 1:11 with those three barrels in a V shape on the lowest one shoot directly downwards and you'll go into a barrel which will shoot you to the end of the level. Makes it so much easier.

I agree that it was so frustrating. Besides the fact that it was almost impossible, the next few were so hard, too, making it impossible to not have to redo that first board 1000 more times just to get to Candy. Looking back, I don't know how I ever beat this game. :O

This is one of the easiest games on the SNES. Only Super Mario World is easier. If you think this game is hard, do not ever play the sequel as it actually presents a challenge.

I'm stuck on it right now actually. I beat it, got a game over (wasted like 10 lives on this stage), before getting to a save point, and for the life of me I can't beat it again. I just put the game down. It was still worth the 1000, wii points though.

you have to time perfectly, only one sprite too late and you're done for.

If you're having troubles there's a hidden shortcut in this level that lets you bypass the trickiest parts. At 1:11 (in my video) instead of shooting into the upper right barrel, shoot straight down and you'll find the shortcut.

No worries on the mistakes; people are kidding themselves if they say they got it first run. I kept messing up on the streak of horizontal barrels. My timing was just off.

Overall, DKC2 was the hardest of the series. DKC3, not so much.
